Chapter 22

Arthur’s POV

I keep struggling with the ropes that these morons have used to hold me down. They wouldn’t stand a chance with me if I wasn’t subdue.

One of the masked men looks at me, and laughs.

“I’ve been told that you’re the strongest. Guess every strong man has their weakness. You can’t even get out of the ropes.” He mockingly says.

I bet he knows who I am, and what he’s doing. He will regret what he is doing.

“Where is Justin? What have you done with her?” I furiously ask.

“Don’t worry about her. She’s okay. You should be worried about yourself.” He laughs again.

My wolf isn’t calm at all. He keeps threatening to kill me if Justin is dead.

Picking the masked men scents, they smell nothing like vampires or werewolves.

They are mere humans, who know everything about me and my kind.

I keep struggling to contain my wolf. It’s hard to keep him down, let alone contain him, when he knows that his mate is in trouble.

I see Justin is tied up on a chair, right infront of me. She’s weak to do anything, but she’s conscious.

Which is more reason why I shouldn’t loose my wolf. If only there’s a way to keep her unconscious.

I’ve tried using my mind link and siren power, but it’s not working. It’s like a strong magic is blocking my power from triggering.

I feel that I can only shift, but I can’t. Not in front of Justin.

I’ve tried reaching Oliver, but I can’t mind link him, because of the magic blocking my power.

I know it wouldn’t be long before Oliver finds me. These masked men don’t look like professional kidnappers.

What I know is that they are morons, they don’t know how to do a proper and clean kidnapping job, and they know who I am.

It’s like they want me to reveal myself to Justin, that’s why they block my mind link and siren power, but not my werewolf side.

“Are you going to tell me why you have captured me, or you will keep acting as the half-wit that you are.”

Rage baiting them will buy Oliver more time to find me. I just hope he finds me fast.

They chuckle. The one that has been mocking me, comes close to me. He bend down, low enough to meet my fixed gaze.

“That’s for you to decide. Either you show your true self, or we force you two.” He turns out the taser in his hands.

That’s when I notice what is on the table the others are standing close too.

The table is full of torturing equipments. And they aren’t the ones that someone can use on normal humans, it’s all classified equipment, and dangerous ones.

With my hands tied behind me, patiently waiting for the right time to act.

I can’t hold down to my wolf, and anger for long again.

Justin’s distress is triggering. But I try all I can to stay calm, and keep shoving my infuriated wolf back into the back of my mind.

“Shall we begin?” The masked man approach me, with a shiny, sharp knife. It doesn’t scare me at all.

I’ve endured worse than this, from my father.

“Where is your Den?” He asks me, staring down at me.

I smirk at him, not saying anything. He stabs me with the knife on my stomach.

I hiss at the pain, to satisfy their little ego. Justin’s has a gag in a mouth, reducing her screams to muffle cries.

“Where is your den?!” He asks again, with a loud tone.

I grin at his foolishness. “You repeating the question twice, doesn’t mean I will ever give you the answer you want.”

He angrily groans, and stabs me again. As he removes the knife, blood gush out of me, but within two seconds, I heal.

He’s frustrated as his torture isn’t breaking me down.

He keeps punching, stabbing and trying every means to subdue me. I keep encouraging him by give him a little loud.

I’m grateful that Justin isn’t close enough to see my wounds heal, and for some reason, I think these masked men are the ones who keep her far away from me.

It’s like they are protecting her from me. Something, definitely, doesn’t smell right here.

Seeing as I’m wounded, subdue but still healing and getting renew in my strength, he gives up torturing me.

He goes to Justin, grabbing a hand full of her hair, and holds it back. He puts the knife on her neck, and snarls at me.

“What about now? I bet her pain and scream will be for real.” He says.

I jack the chains holding me down, smolderingly, staring dead into his eyes.

“If a single hair on her head goes missing, I will gut your abdomen, remove your fucking intestine, and have you eat it all.” I threaten him.

He laughs, he’s really daring me.

His partner walks up to me and whispers to his ears. “Take the fucking knife off her neck. The deal was to use her as bait to get him, not to have a knife one her neck.”

I use my sensitive ears to hear their muffle arguments.

The one holding the knife pushes the other one away from him. “We have to make him talk, one way or another.”

He turns to me, still holding the knife on Justin’s neck, “Where is your fucking den? You fucking bastard.” He shouts.

If only I can use my siren power to knock Justin out, so I can rip these motherfuckers apart.

“TELL ME!” He shouts loudly.

Just then, I smell blood. It isn’t mine. I look at Justin, she’s so scared and helpless. Her eyes are begging me to do something.

My eyes drifts to her neck, the man cut a little. Making her to bleed.

Seeing this, I can’t contain my wolf again. I must save Justin.

Just as I’m about to unleash my wolf, I hear a loud bang. It’s Oliver. About time.

He hits the man holding a knife at Justin, and knocks Justin out. Much better.

I break off the chain, “you took your fucking time.” I growl low.

“Sorry about that. I brought backup though.” Oliver smiles and points at Kylian and Jayden, Kylian’s beta.
