The Elder's voice cut through the frozen air like a dull blade. "We now examine the first charge: defendant Aria misappropriated medical station funds left by her Alpha parents for personal luxury spending."

I heard suppressed murmurs from the gallery. Sophia coughed weakly in the plaintiff's section, and Kane immediately handed her a handkerchief, treating her like fragile crystal.

"Display the relevant memories," the Elder commanded.

Seven days after my parents' death.

Kane held our parents' will, his voice cold and detached. "According to their will, sixty percent of the inheritance goes to pack public affairs—medical station maintenance, territory repairs, and cub education funds. The remaining forty percent is split equally among the three of us."

I stared down at the document, my fingers trembling slightly. I was still drowning in grief over my parents' death.

Ryan suddenly spoke up. "Wait, what about Sophia's treatment costs?"

Kane frowned, as if just remembering. "The medical station funds can't be touched. That's pack common property."

"Then take it from Aria's share." Ryan said it like it was obvious, not even glancing my way.

I jerked my head up. "What?"

"You got the biggest portion, and you don't need it anyway." Ryan waved dismissively. "Sophia's silver poisoning can't wait. Are you going to let her die?"

"That's my inheritance!" I clenched my fists. "What my parents left me!"

Kane's expression turned ice cold. "Aria, don't forget how Sophia's parents died."

Those words hit me like a bucket of freezing water.

"They saved our lives. And you?" Ryan shot back. "You won't even spare a little money?"

I opened my mouth to argue—but I knew they wouldn't listen.

In the end, I signed the papers, watching helplessly as they took away the resources and property that should have been mine.

Months later, I snuck into the medical station's records room.

The numbers in the ledger made my fingertips go cold—funds meant for replacing silver toxin filters had all been converted into Sophia's specialty medication. Those pale gold liquids in crystal vials were worth a fortune each, while ordinary pack members couldn't even get basic painkillers.

"What are you doing?"

I spun around. Dr. Marcus, the pack's head healer, stood in the doorway, moonlight stretching his shadow long across the floor.

I instinctively closed the ledger, but it was too late.

He walked in silently, pulling another booklet from his coat and handing it to me. "This is the real ledger."

I opened it to find clear records of every misappropriated fund—Kane and Ryan's signatures prominently displayed.

"No one dares report them." The healer's voice was low. "You're their blood sister and former Alpha bloodline. Maybe..."

"I'll find a way." I cut him off, stuffing the ledger inside my coat.

I used my last three gold bars to contact the Northern Pack's Alpha, purchasing the missing medical supplies from him.

The "surveillance footage" Kane provided, showing me carrying luxury shopping bags into an "upscale neighborhood," was actually the Northern trading company's temporary warehouse. The luxury bags were just camouflage for transporting my gold bars.

The courtroom fell into dead silence.

On the projection screen, my encrypted ledger from years ago was clearly visible—every black market equipment purchase matched exactly with the medical station's missing supplies.

Pack members in the gallery looked at each other in confusion, their previous anger turning to shock and bewilderment.

Sophia's face changed color. She gripped her skirt hem tightly, her knuckles white.

Kane shot to his feet. "This is impossible! That money was clearly—"

Three days later, the pack held new Alpha elections. The great hall was packed with every pack member, tension thick in the air. Some faces showed hope, others uncertainty. Many still bore the shame of how quickly they'd turned against me.I stood before the council of elders, facing all pack members. My voice was calm but carried clearly to every ear."I know many of you have doubts about my fitness to lead." I began. "My power is damaged. My past is complicated. I have no experience governing a pack."Murmurs rippled through the crowd."But I can promise you this:" My voice grew stronger. "I don't promise you invincible power or eternal victory. I don't promise that following me will be easy or comfortable."I paused, meeting as many eyes as I could."But I can guarantee that from now on, every pack decision will not be built on lies and sacrifice. No one will be condemned without evidence. No one will be silenced for speaking truth."The crowd fell silent, absorbing my words. Then L

"As an Omega losing pack protection," the Elder's voice was pitiless, "it is essentially a death sentence. But you chose this path when you decided to destroy an innocent person's life.""Please!" I gave them what they wanted!""You gave them poison disguised as love," I said quietly, speaking for the first time since the verdict. When Kane and Ryan were led away in their silver chains, I expected them to look at me. To say something. To acknowledge what they'd done. But they never looked at me once.Kane stared at the floor as the guards dragged him past my seat. Ryan's eyes were closed, as if he could make reality disappear by refusing to see it.Perhaps they finally understood the magnitude of their mistakes.Or perhaps they simply couldn't face me.Either way, it was too late for apologies. The pack members began filing out, many stopping to bow their heads to me respectfu

The Elder rose from his stone throne, his ancient voice carrying the weight of absolute authority."After reviewing all evidence and memories presented to this tribunal, I hereby declare defendant Aria innocent of all charges."The courtroom erupted in cheers, but he raised his staff for silence."Furthermore, the Alpha Council finds overwhelming evidence of crimes committed by the plaintiffs themselves."His cold gaze fell upon Kane and Ryan, who stood frozen like statues."Kane and Ryan, former Alphas of this pack, you are hereby stripped of your Alpha status and power for false accusations, abuse of authority, misappropriating pack assets, and attempting illegal power transfer."The ceremonial silver chains appeared in the guards' hands, glowing with ancient magic designed to contain Alpha power."You are sentenced to life imprisonment in the pack's forbidden territory, where you will have time to contemplate the magnitude of your betrayal."Kane's knees buckled. "No... we were tryi

The guards immediately grabbed her shoulders with iron grips, their claws extending slightly to ensure she couldn't escape. They dragged her back to the plaintiff's section like she weighed nothing.Sophia struggled frantically, her careful mask finally slipping to reveal the desperation beneath. "No! You can't do this to me! I'm an Omega! I'm the victim here!"Her voice rose to a shriek. "I've suffered enough! My parents died! I was poisoned! I'm innocent!"Kane and Ryan exchanged glances, something cold and terrible dawning in their eyes.Suddenly, Kane shot to his feet like a man possessed, his chair clattering backward."You liar!" He pointed at Sophia with a shaking finger, his voice breaking with rage and betrayal. "You've been using us all these years! Playing us like fools!"Ryan stood beside his twin, his face a mask of horror and fury. "We gave you everything! We loved you like our own sister!"Sophia's expression froze for a moment, then twisted into a savage sneer that tran

I gripped my skirt tightly, anger and helplessness warring in my chest. They never asked if I wanted another sister. The scene shifted to Sophia's first night after adoption. She wore my favorite nightgown—the soft blue one with silver thread—and clutched my childhood doll, the one father had given me for my eighth birthday. She was in my bed, under my covers, surrounded by my things."Aria, you sleep in the guest room tonight." Kane's tone brooked no argument. "Sophia just lost her parents. She needs security and familiar surroundings.""But this is my room," I said quietly."And now it's hers," Ryan added firmly. "She's been through enough."I silently gathered my pillow and a spare blanket, but as I walked down the hallway, I heard Sophia's voice drifting from my former room."This doll is so ugly," she said conversationally to Ryan. "And this nightgown is too rough. Can you buy me better things tomorrow?"Ryan's eager response made my stomach turn. "Of course! Whatever you need!"E

I released her and plunged into the snow without looking back, her laughter echoing behind me like the call of a carrion bird. The memory ended abruptly. The courtroom had fallen into dead silence so complete I could hear my own heartbeat. On the projection screen, the evidence was undeniable—the tampered contract with Kane's private seal, recorded conversations between Sophia and the Frost Wind emissary about power transfers, and detailed plans for my murder disguised as a marriage alliance. In the gallery, an elderly wolf warrior suddenly stood, his scarred face twisted with rage. "You... you dared to sell your own blood kin?!"Other voices joined his:"They planned to murder her!""For money!""Those aren't Alphas—they're merchants selling their sister's life!"Kane's face turned ashen as the accusations flew.
