Chapter 22 - Cookies and a hide and seek game?

Cassandra’s point of view:

My alarm woke me. Groaning, I blindly reached out to grab my phone and switched off the irritating noise, then flopped back against my pillow.

Normally, I’d wake up late, but I’d been babysitting Millie for the past three days since her parents were needed at the pack borders for some security issues. They’ve been working on tightening the security at each side of the pack.

According to the two women I heard gossiping in the kitchen area the other day, Dalton even bought security cameras to be set up all around the pack and its borders. Hidden, of course.

He also had patrols running daily and has asked the warriors to keep a strict watch on most, if not all pack members. He had been spending his time searching for the person responsible for the attack. He claimed that rogue wolves wouldn’t just gather and attack.

I think he actually believes that someone from the pack had something to do with that attack.
