Chapter 26 - "You're fated to be mine"

Cassandra’s point of view:

He was hiding something.

There must be something troubling him and it was about Levi and his associates. His hostility, whenever a member from the Moon Howlers would come, wasn’t hard to notice. It was so intense that every pack member would squirm in discomfort.

I pressed my lips into a thin line when he’d shout at me.

And even with Sierra warning me to run away, to get as far away as possible from him, I stayed put.

Now, I regretted not listening to my wolf. I wasn’t expecting Dalton to hold my wrist, to get so close to me when his own wolf was fighting to come forth and get in control of the whole situation.

The only thing that came into my mind then, was to try and calm Dalton down. Maybe he was just not feeling well, I’d thought. Maybe he wasn’t as angry as he’d been with me on the training ground. But, I was wrong!
