Julia's POV
She pointed the sword towards me.
“Julia! Alpha Damien requests your appearance. It is either you come with me peacefully or I take you to him by force!” Her thin voice and dark aura were imposing.
I was scared and slowly took steps backwards while she followed me with the sword pointed towards my neck.
“Who dares!” Beta Ambrose drew his sword and pointed it at the lady.
‘Alpha Damien has my mother in his possession. If Beta Ambrose defends, it will be chaotic. I think I should just follow her.’
“Drop the sword!” Beta Ambrose spoke with his terrific voice sending a sharp and extreme aura across the atmosphere.
But the lady wouldn't back down. “It's okay, Beta Ambrose. I will follow her.” I said with a mild voice.
Beta Ambrose put down his sword and I followed the lady until we arrived at the Alpha Damien's mansion.
Alpha Damien was seated on his throne when I was brought inside. With surprise obvious in his eyes, he got up from the throne and he moved towards me.
“Excuse us!” Alpha Damien declared and all the guards vacated the premises.
He came closer to me…. “Julia, where have you been? I missed you.’ He placed his hand on my face like he wanted me. The same person that was always disgusted by my presence.
I slapped his hand off my face. “You don't have the right to touch my body. Where is my mother?” I know you have her.” My voice was harsh and I peered into his eyes.
He grunted slowly with a long stare into my eyes. And he clapped his hands.
“Julian, I know I rejected you as my Luna and my mate. I want you back now.” He spoke with desperation in his eyes. He laid his hand on my shoulder.
But I shot a disgusting glare at his face. I do not know what I feel for him anymore. A mix of hate, vengeance and love was all I felt within me. “I don't want you, Alpha Damien. All I want right now is to see my mother.”
Just as I said that, the door was opened and my mother was brought in by the royal guard.
“That is your mother!” He declared. And I turned at once. Looking at the face of my mother again, I was excited and I rushed to her.
My mother walked up to me and she opened her arms. I went into her embrace. “Mummy, how are you? Hope they didn't hurt you?” I was bothered.
“I am fine, daughter. I am happy to see you again.” She spoke softly.
“Let us go home, mother.” I said and I held my mother's hand. We focused on the door and were about to go out before we were stopped by the heavy guard at the door.
“You can't leave, Julia!” Alpha Damien spoke aloud as he took steps towards me.
I shot a bitter glare at him. “Why can't I leave?” I yelled.
“I want you back, Julia! And you can't go with your mother. But if you so wish to leave, your mother will remain here and I will torture her to death. Choose wisely.” He spoke with an air of dominance.
And I was terrified at his desperation to want me back. I don't understand Alpha Damien anymore and I can't be his even if I accept this proposition. He said he was going to torture my mother to death and I can't allow that to happen.
I looked at the face of my mother and I hugged her warmly. “Mummy, you are all that I have left. I must deal with this myself.” My eyes were laced with tears and my mother held me tightly.
“I will be waiting for your return, my dear Julia.” Tears dropped down my eyes and I had to clean it up.
I unwrapped my hands around her and moved backwards. I watched my mother leave.
“Welcome back, My Luna!” As Alpha Damien echoed that, the door was forced open and Beta Aurora stormed in. Her face was aggressive and her breath puffed out at different intervals heavily.
“What the hell is going on here, Alpha Damien? Why the hell is Julia here?” Her voice was laced with anger and she spoke fiercely.
Alpha Damien glanced at her from head to toe. “What are you doing here? I ordered you to stay indoors. Why wouldn't you listen to a simple order!” Alpha Damien spoke harshly, his voice was cold and domineering.
“To hell with your order! You promised to leave her in your past. What is she doing here?” She widened her eyes and flexed her muscles.
“I brought her back and she is here to stay.” Alpha Damien spoke with essence. His words were imposing.
“You can't mean what you just said, Alpha Damien.”
Alpha Damien shot a deadly glare at her and faced me at once. “Julia, will you be my Luna?” He asked in the most plain tone.
But I looked at him with spite, knowing fully well he was about to jilt Beta Aurora; the same thing he did to me when I was loyal to him.
I set my eyes on his and opened my lips to speak… “I am not interested!” I violently dismissed his request without thinking of it twice and his ego was hurt.
“I know she can't be that foolish to ever want to have anything to do with you again. Alpha Damien, you belong to me.” Beta Aurora spoke with high voltage and she walked up to him sexily. While her hands crawled on his skin.
But for a reason, I had to look away when she was all over him. I do not know the reason I felt so jealous seeing Alpha Damien with her even though he hurt me.
But Alpha Damien pushed her away and she crashed to the ground. “Don't you dare lay that hands on me again! You don't own me. I chose my mate and not otherwise. Pending the time Julia thinks about my proposal of being my Luna, you will be my mistress… your mission is to pleasure me and nothing more. Do you understand?” He spoke harshly with a straight face.
I looked at the way he treated Aurora that he had used to replace me and I was disappointed in his personality. ‘I will never let the slightest love within me awaken. Alpha Damien doesn't deserve to be loved. Instead, I am going to make you pay for breaking my heart and I am going to take back the land your ancestor's collected forcefully from us.’ I promised myself where I stood. My mission started at that moment.
Julia's POVShe was walking toward me with that same confident, slick strut. I intended to ignore her, but she blocked me every time I tried to turn away.I raised my gaze and glared at her. Her lips twitched as she folded her arms and stared past me, then brought her eyes back to mine."Did you think I didn’t see that? That you were talking to someone just now?"I met her gaze, unflinching. If Aurora thought she could scare me with her words again, she was about to be humiliated.I smiled. "Aurora, who exactly did you see?""A man," she spat, her lips curling.I laughed, and so did she, but hers carried venom."So you’re meeting a man in secret?" she continued, her voice thick with mockery. "I wonder how Damien would react if he knew the woman he calls his Luna was sneaking around behind his back."She gave another wicked laugh. "You wouldn’t just be kicked out. He would make sure you never come back.""Really?" I asked without blinking."What’s more ironic," I said, stepping closer,
JulianWhen I slowly opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was confusion flashing across his face. He raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Then he let out a short snort, trying and failing to mask whatever emotion was clawing at his chest. He leaned back slightly on the bed and dropped the towel onto the nightstand. That cold, untouchable Alpha act? He wore it like armor. But I could see through him. Beneath that mask was a man barely holding himself together.I shifted upright slowly. My wolf stirred within me, already trying to mend the damage from the fire, but the sharp pain in my throat still lingered. I winced and cleared my throat, not breaking eye contact with him.For a moment, neither of us spoke. The silence stretched between us, heavy with unspoken things. He sat across from me, and just for a second, I saw a flash of the Alpha I used to dream about. The one I once longed for. Then he leaned closer, his voice low and steady.“Whoever was behind this… they’ll pay. I swear it
Julian“Why is she still unconscious? Do something, anything! Does she need medicine? Blood? Herbs? Just make sure she wakes up!"The voice boomed like a storm through the haze in my mind.My eyelids fluttered, heavy as if someone had poured molten iron over them. Why did everything feel so... distant? My lungs burned. My body ached. Where am I?Even half-conscious, my body tensed instinctively at the sound of his voice. But this time, there was something else woven into it.Panic? Why was he worried?Out of the corner of my blurred vision, I caught sight of him, Alpha Damien towering over the trembling healer like a beast on the brink of snapping. One of them trembled under his furious gaze.“Please, calm down!" one healer tried to reason with him."Calm down?" Damien scoffed. "It's been over an hour, and she still hasn’t regained consciousness. And you’re telling me to calm down?”“She must have inhaled too much smoke. Her lungs appear slightly damaged,” another healer explained. “S
Julia’s POV Damien ignored Aurora like she was a passing itch. His fingers tightened around mine, warm but firm, and he led me toward a group of overdressed dignitaries who smelled like power and pine oil. I hated it. I hated the way my hand felt in his, like a prop, a token of status. I played along though, smiling, bowing, sipping from yet another glass of wine, but my mind wasn’t in the room.Aurora wouldn’t take this lying down. She never did. That girl had enough ego to power a city. She'd looked like she wanted to murder someone when Damien announced I’d be meeting the RegalWolf Pack with him. She didn’t speak to me, didn’t even glance in my direction after the scene, but I knew it wasn't over. The women were chatty, wanting to discuss the latest fashion trends, and how an Omega was able to marry a powerful Alpha. But I wasn't interested in the conversation, grossly irritated by their guts. Eventually, I slipped away. The ball was noisy—too many violins, too many forced lau
Julia's POV It would be better to leave Damien unsuspecting, Alpha Ambrose had advised me, but it was nearly impossible to keep all of this under my hat. I wanted to grab Damien by the face and break his neck. I wanted him to suffer! His ancestors were thieves and he had profited from the spoils of their wars all his life. It was about time it ended. After I met with Ambrose in the dark crypt, I wore my cloak around my head and snuck back to my chambers. Dinner had been served on the dining table in the corner of the room and the air was thick with the smell of scented candles. "Who are you?" The question flew out of my mouth, right after I spotted a tall redhead girl walking out of my bathroom. "Oh, your grace, you're back." She moved towards me and bowed. "I just finished drawing water for your bath. What kind of fragrance do you like? Flowers or spicy scents?" "Oh really," I scoffed and walked past her. "Did Damien instruct you to do this? And what is the meaning of all this? I
Julia’s pov.The darkness wasn't helping matters, I slept and wished for the light of the day, hoping to hear responses from Alpha Damien. He woke up the next day as he walked straight into my room with his hands across his back. “Good morning Julia, my Luna” he greeted, flashing a smile but all I discovered inside me at the moment was just hatred for an evil man like him. “Alpha Damien, we had a discussion yesterday, are you here to grant me my wish?” I asked. “Just to let you know how much I loved you, yes I want to grant your wish”He said and I was a bit shocked, the feelings of disbelief covered me. I smiled inside me but kept a mean face.He handed over half of his soldiers to me. I was happy at this moment knowing my steps towards accomplishing my mission had begun. A day passed by, and a rogue war happened, I experienced what I had never experienced in my life before. When the sun was up in the sky, alpha Damien heard a report that some strange wolves had killed four of
