Alpha Damien's POV
“Alpha Damien.” Beta Aurora called my name romantically and she pecked me by the side of my cheek. “Your mood have changed after the last moon ceremony. What is troubling you, My Alpha.” She spoke respectfully with her usual sweet voice.
I was irritated by that voice this time around. Beta Aurora was not close to Julia in terms of care, obedience, manners of speech and house chores.
I never thought I felt something for Julia until when she left. I discovered there was a significant part of me missing.
But yesternight night, after setting my eyes on the silver necklace and witnessing it's power. I want to wield that kind of power. But it was on the neck of Julia… I never knew that the lady I called weak was that powerful.
‘Capture her!’ I remembered as my deep voice echoed through the atmosphere. My soldiers went after her but suddenly…
‘Boom!’ There was an explosion that caused a widespread flame. All my soldiers were almost suffocated. Just after the smoke cleared she was nowhere to be found.
Somebody helped her escape even though I had her in my grasp. For the first time in my life, I felt incapable and I hate that feeling.
“I want Julia back. I regret letting her out of my grip.” I spoke with my emotions throbbing and Aurora shot a deadly glare at me with a spiteful growl.
She scoffed. “You want your ex back now, huh! I thought you said she was weak and you can't have anything to do with her. What changed?” She arched her eyebrows. Her smile turned pale while she stared at me with disgust.
“Are you that blind that you can't see what happened today? Anybody who wields that kind of power can't be an omega and neither can she be a Beta. I am afraid she might definitely be an Alpha.” I spoke with tension in my voice while my heart growled to see her.
Aurora sucked her tongue and she arched her eyebrows. “It's funny that you now see the power she wields. Do you regret dumping her?” She curled her eyes and asked that question.
I became as silent as the grave and I turned to look at her face. Her eyes twinkled like a star. “Are you jealous of her?” My voice was rigid and firm as my eyes peered into hers.
She sighed and winked her eyes slowly. “I love you, Alpha Damien and I am hurt by your constant crave for Julia. Can you just bury her in your past?” She asked with a low voice. Her emotions were on each statement. It was as if she wanted to cry.
“Of course, anything for you, my dear.” I lied to her and pulled her into my warm embrace. I used my palm to rub her back just for her to feel secure.
‘Over my dead body will I bury Julia in my past. I promise to find her no matter what it takes me.’ My heart growled as I made that decision within me. ‘And you, Aurora, I chose you over Julia because of your power and I never loved you. Since I haven't found Julia, I will keep you close just to feel the gap.’ I felt no remorse within me.
“I love you, Alpha Damien.” Beta Aurora's wolf growled with excitement as she said those statements to me.
But I didn't respond because I knew I didn't feel the same for her. ‘Julia, where are you?’
Julia's POV
‘Coughs out!’ I forced my eyes open as I raised my back and gasped for breath. My eyes searched around the environment. I was hurriedly as tension held my heart.
‘Where am I?’ I had to ask myself that question. The environment was unfamiliar when I gazed around the room. I realized I was on a bed.
‘What is this place?’ I asked myself while I placed my leg on the ground. Flashes of memories of what happened at the last moon ceremony came to my head. I placed my hand on my chest to see if I still had the silver necklace.
The door creaks open. An unfamiliar face walked in with an imposing aura. He was masculine and his face looks tough.
At this sight, I was terrified. “Who are you?” I asked with a distant tone and I stood on my feet, being defensive.
Without saying a word, he drew closer and my heart beat with fear with the thoughts he was going to hurt me.
Just when he got closer and I thought he was going to hit me, he went on his knees and bowed his head. “Alpha Julia, you are awake. It's nice to finally meet you.” He spoke with respect.
I was taken aback with shock. My eyes glared at him with absolute tension and disbelief. “An Alpha?! What is going on here?” I yelled with fear.
“I am sorry that I didn't introduce myself properly. I am Beta Ambrose, the loyal servant to the Wades Bloodline.” He introduced himself and I was still more confused.
“I do not care about who you are and what you stand for. What am I doing here? And why are you calling me an Alpha. The last time I checked, I was an omega. I think you got the wrong person.”
“I am not mistaken. You activated the silver necklace which has been passed down the Wades generation over centuries in front of everyone and that's impossible for a common omega. Alpha Damien ordered for your capture and I had no choice than to save you from his claws. That is why you are in my inn.” He explained in detail.
I grunted slowly and flashed back to what my mother said to me. ‘I found my identity. I am an Alpha.’ It echoed within me.
But something was puzzling. If this man knows this much about the Wades, does it mean? My eyes widened in realization.
“Are you from the Dark Knight pack?” I asked with curiosity.
“Yes, Alpha.”
“You didn't die? I thought all the members of the Dark Knight pack died and only one woman escaped while some were left to be tortured.” I arched my eyebrows.
“My ancestors escaped and I was told the story of how loyal my family is to the Wades. I have been waiting for the silver necklace to reappear. That's the only way I can recognise the Alpha of the Dark night pack.” He explained.
‘If his ancestors escaped, it means many Dark night pack members are still alive. How do we find them?’
“In that case, Do you know where the rest of the Dark Night pack members are?” I asked him.
“No. Everyone is living in fear and in secret. I doubt if any of them can show their faces if they are still alive.”
“Are we still in the Blood Night pack?” I asked him.
“Yes. I hid you here and it can only take a while before Alpha Damien finds you. I heard he has been looking for you endlessly since yesterday night.” He explained.
“If he has been looking for me, is my mother safe?” I widened my eyes.
“I don't think so.” Immediately he gave that reply, my heart beat hard against my chest.
“I must see my mother immediately. Nothing must happen to her.” I said, sharply moving out of his sight.
“Alpha! You can't behave rashly…” I didn't listen to him and I rushed back home but he followed me all along.
Upon getting home, “mummy!” I called her but there was no response. With fear, I opened the door and went inside the house, but there was no sign of anyone in the house.
“No, No,No! This is not good! My mother is nowhere to be found. I think she has been captured!” I looked into the eyes of Beta Ambrose with fear and panic as I spoke.
“We need to save my mother by all means.” Just after saying that, “KO!Ko!KO!” Someone knocks at the door.
“Could that be my mother?” I said aloud and rushed to open the door forgetting that there was an enemy lurking just to get hold of me. Upon opening, I was greeted with the shock of my life.
A woman with an imposing aura and a long sword was right before me, “Hello, Julia!” She spoke with a terrific voice. Her hand held the sword firmly.
Julia's POV I kept glaring at Aurora's stomach to see if it was true. As if Aurora knew my thoughts, she swiftly laid her hands on her stomach, rubbing it gently. “ Oh dear, I must be really tired” she said while trying to ensure I noticed her pregnancy. Inside, I become broken. Shattered. Betrayed. Aurora had won the fight. She is now carrying the child of Alpha Damien in her womb.. “Welcome back Julia. I'm glad you made it and didn't die” Aurora spat with disdain in her eyes. I could see how shocked and pained Aurora felt because of my presence but the fact that she was carrying Alpha's child, made her think highly of herself. “ We can't just keep glaring at each other that way. Let us sit and talk things out” She said, with a disdainful expression, her hands rubbing her stomach down.Refusing to break down in the presence of Aurora, my feet scurried and I left putting on a smiling face regardless. “Oh Julia, where do you think you're going? Have I said anything bad?” I
Aurora's POV I sat in my chambers wrapped with a blanket, crying eyes out. For two days now, I haven't stepped a foot outside my chambers but Alpha Damien never cared. He wasn't interested in my existence and had become completely different towards me. I thought Julia's disappearance and being pregnant with Damien's child would save a nine. But, none of these things worked out. Damien's heart belongs to Julia and not me. She's the only one he thinks about and not me, the pregnant one with his child. If I had known, I would have left things to slide and not get pregnant for Damien. Now, everything's been ruined. Agonizing tears brimmed down my face as I wiped them with the blanket. No one seemed to care about me and my feelings, not even the maids. I saw the way they crowded Julia the other time, begging her not to leave the royal pack house. But here I was without food for two days in my condition, yet no one cared. As the betrayal of Damien kept weighing me down, a plan c
Julia's POV The mention of Aurora's name by Alpha Damien suddenly brought back past memories in my mind. “ Aurora saved you?” I asked Damien, my voice weak. Damien patted my hair holding a weak smile. “ Yes, Julia. Aurora intervened quickly and that was why I didn't die from the strange illness” he explained to me. I kept quiet and didn't reply to Damien because I knew it was the same Aurora who fired the deadly illness on him. Her aim was cryptic, to make Damien hers forever and to destroy me completely. But all of these were oblivious to Damien and I was sure Aurora thinks I am dead also. “ How is Aurora doing? I never asked after her. Is she well?” I asked, showing a weak smile. Glaring at Damien, I could see regret written all over his face. And the fact that he was delaying to answer my questions speaks how deeply hurt he was. “ Did anything happen to her while I was away?” I asked again. Damien scoffed. “ Nothing happened to her, Julia. She's just fine” As Damien c
Julia's POV Silence settled. The wind withheld its gale. All the trees that swayed earlier steadied; like they had seen a greater force coming and they decided to stay calm and collective.I watch with rapt attention. Just to see the man coming towards me but the dark cloud didn't let me see clearly. “ Julia”I heard my name very clearly from afar.Damien. My eyes widened. That must be Damien. I was sure he was the one. The voice sounds exactly like his. I screamed. “Damien!” My voice was barely audible. There was no strength left in me after Lukas tied me up for two days without food or water. Glancing around, I didn't see Damien anywhere but I could still hear him scream my name. What should I do? Strength has gone out of me. It will be impossible for Damien to locate me in that dark and hidden building. As Damien continued to scream my name, I opened my mouth to respond but he couldn't hear me. Then a thought came into my mind. I realized my wolf was getting weak from the
Julia's POV Debris floated in the air.Thunderstorms blast, making the atmosphere quite turbulent and chaotic. The weather itself held a frown on its face . A gale, a furious one blew furiously causing the trees to sway with so much tension.A groan escaped my lips as Lukas’s sharp whip landed at my back. The pain overtook me, causing all my body to tremble. The past two days have been hellish. Lukas tied me against a tree very far from this house but in another dark building near an old crumbled house. It's been weeks with him in Silverfang pack. Literally, I was his object. A tool that he constantly abused all day and night.“ Are you still holding on, Julia? Give me the damn pendant!” Lukas groaned, while whipping me hard. I whimpered, tears welled up my eyes.Since I refused to become Lukas's mate, he has ceased the opportunity to torment me because I rejected him. And that moment when I rejected him, he has completely turned into a beast using the opportunity to demand for
Alpha Damien's POV The next day, I lay on the bed, my eyes fixed on the empty ceilings. They looked pale. Nothing fascinating to watch. Nothing interesting. “ I am pregnant” I remembered Aurora's words from last night. A heavy lump grew so hard on my chest that it caused me some breathing difficulties.I must have been a fool. How could I have let this happen? I knew it all from the very time Aurora handed me the bottle of wine. My sense didn't move smartly to detect her evil plans. My face swelled as I blamed myself continuously for the one night mistake I made that has led to an everlasting entanglement with the woman I wanted to do away with. Julia Is my true love. She's the one I love and I was determined to find her without thinking of the people's lives that I would be endangering. For two days now, I and some of the guards have been searching around for Julia. We searched both day and night. Now, I will have let the guards stay back while I embark on the journey myse
