Ariel stormed out of the garden, wiping furiously at the tears that rolled down her cheeks. Her chest caved in painfully and she still had a lot of tears to give out. She was exhausted and in pain. Tired of everything.

Maybe it was why she blew up and yelled at him. Maybe she was out of line. Maybe she shouldn't have spoken to him that way. He was Alpha after all. What did she expect? That he would help her get the apple she had been reaching for? All she had wanted to do was make a pie. It's not like she had been plucking them for her own use.

He put her here and made her serve. She was just doing her job. Who was he to tell her what she could do and what she couldn't do with respect to her job?

Yes. He was the Alpha but it was enough. She wasn't the one who killed his parents. She did not even know what drove the actions her parents took. She knew absolutely nothing of it all but regardless of how much she cried, how much she begged, how much she pleaded, he would never listen. He
