Sitting in front of a mirror, those glowing amber eyes were staring at their reflection in it.
"You are looking really very beautiful, Luna Fiana," one of the maids complimented her, which brought a gentle smile to her face.
"I am sure Alpha Lucian won't be able to take his eyes away from you today," another maid uttered. Their Luna blushed before sending a fake glare to all of her maids, who were giggling. Even after being the Alpha female of The Blood Night Pack, Fiana Venzor was a very down to earth lady. Her warm and tender nature always used to make each and every person around her comfortable and happy. Even after being a royalty, she never treated anyone with disrespect or harshness in the castle and even outside it. Almost each and every member of their pack used to love and respect her a lot.
Another maid of the castle came and bowed her head in front of their queen.
"Luna Fiana, Alpha Lucian is waiting for you in the rose garden," the maid informed, earning a tender nod from Fiana. She got up from the chair. Her maids were about to follow her but she stopped them and told them she wanted to go alone. The maids had no authority to defy her words, so they obliged and after that, Fiana walked out of her chamber.
Stepping inside the rose garden which was one of the most beautiful gardens in that castle and which the Alpha had specially made for her because she loved rose, Fiana finally saw her mate, her love, the father of her son and the Alpha of The Blood Night Pack, standing there waiting for her. She walked towards him with a smile.
She noticed his dark brown orbs getting filled with love as soon as they fell on her. She hugged him when he returned gladly and pecked her forehead.
"I apologise for making you wait, Alpha," She said which made him beam.
"You don't have to because my wait finally paid off," he uttered, looking at his mate from her head to her toe. Her cheeks hued, hearing his teasing tone. He chuckled before holding her hand and then they both started taking a walk in that garden which they both loved to do together.
"Where is Darren?" Fiana was smelling a rose when she heard her mate asking her about their 10 years old son.
"He is playing with his friends and cousins," she answered him, earning a nod from him until
"Alpha…." A guard came rushing towards them. The couple looked at him. The guard was panting heavily. He lowered his head in front of his king and queen.
"I apologise for coming unannounced but Prince Darren…" the guard paused, widening Fiana's eyes in fear.
"What happened to Darren?" Lucian asked, both commanding and worried.
"Please come with me," the couple hurriedly followed that guard who took them where their 10 years old son was.
"DARREN…." Fiana screamed out of her lungs, witnessing fire blazing all over that chamber because her son was inside it. One among the kids revealed that they all were playing hide and seek and Prince Darren had gone inside that chamber to hide himself but suddenly that chamber caught fire and everything started burning. The rest of the kids panicked and called the guards for help.
The maids were trying to hold Fiana back from going inside that chamber where her son was.
"Luna, please calm down. Alpha Lucian and Beta George have gone inside. I am sure they will take the prince out safely. Please calm down," the Beta Female, Agnes, tried to assure Fiana but it did nothing to calm that mother, who was crying her heart out in fear of what if something bad would happen to her son.
After some few moments, Fiana saw Lucian taking out their son from that burning chamber who was unconscious in his father's embrace.
"Darren," She dashed towards them and her eyes watered more, witnessing those deep burning marks on her son's skin.
"Call the healer immediately," Lucian commanded his Beta. He immediately nodded.
………..
"Prince Darren is alright. He will get back his consciousness in some couple of hours, Alpha," The healer informed, after treating him. Lucian nodded and then dismissed the healer. He looked at his mate, Fiana, who was sitting beside their son while holding his hand in her. Tears were aggressively falling from her eyes. He sighed before taking the place beside her.
"Darren is fine, Fiana. Please embrace yourself," he clutched her other hand. She squeezed her watery eyes shut before turning her towards him.
"We have to call her again," she uttered and he immediately understood whom she was talking about.
"It's all because of that curse, Lucian. That curse is roaming around our son's life and it wants to harm him, please call her here. Only she could help our son," She whimpered. When Fiana was pregnant with Darren, she had smelt a white rose as her habit which turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes of her life. That red rose turned completely black soon after she smelt it and then she turned unconscious. When she woke up, she got to know that someone had cast an evil spell on that rose with the purpose of harming her and her unborn child and from that day, she continued to see terrifying nightmares regarding her child's life until she didn't give birth to him but even after Darren's birth, things didn't ease, instead turned more complicated and petrifying.
From the day Darren was born, his life had gotten into danger countless times. From almost getting drowned into a river to falling from a rooftop. Getting bitten by a snake to almost getting stabbed by a knife. From catching a life-threatening fever to almost getting burned in the fire, he had always attracted harm to his life in one or other way and his parents knew it was because of that cursed white rose.
"Lucian, please call her here. I can't watch my son getting hurt over and over again. Please call her. I beg you," she broke down into tears. Lucian immediately pulled her into his arms and sighed.
"Calm down. I will call her here, Fiana but please calm down," he uttered while patting her head and gazing at his son's closed eyes. Fiana is right. Only she could help them and their son now.
After a couple of days, Fiana and Lucian were sitting on the bed beside their son who was sleeping. His body was still healing because of that accident in that burning chamber. His burning wounds were still fresh and were healing slowly and slowly.
"Alpha, she is here," a guard came and informed Lucian. He nodded and told him to take her inside. That specific person for whom the couple was restlessly waiting from the past couple of days and she was finally here…..Witch Sirena. One of the most powerful witches of that time. It was her, who had told them that the white rose was cursed which Fiana had smelt.
The couple stood up on their feet as soon as they saw her stepping inside. Her aura darkened the entire surrounding of that chamber. She bowed her head in front of Lucian and Fiana. The couple told her everything that had happened to their son. The witch patiently listened to them before stepping closer to the sleeping little prince.
Her piercing dark eyes roamed all over his wounds on his body before focusing on his closed eyes. Lifting her hand, she placed her palm over his head. The couple watched her murmuring something inside her mouth which made their son flash open his eyes.
He tilted his head and that witch saw his gleaming amber orbs peering at her. The witch passed the kid a smile before turning around and looking at his extremely worried parents.
"Sirena, please help us," Fiana begged her through her watery eyes. The witch sighed and tilted her head to look at the little prince who had again fallen asleep.
"Nothing can break that curse which is hanging over your son's life, Luna Fiana,"
Both Fiana and Lucian's heart ached, hearing her. The witch looked at the couple again.
"Except his mate," she uttered. They both wordlessly heard her.
"His mate will be his sole protector and the day he will mark his mate, this curse will get broken completely but till then, he would have to face these difficulties," a hope flickered inside them at her words.
"But can you please tell me when he will find his mate?" Fiana sounded desperate, even after already knowing the answer. Her question brought a smirk to form on the witch's face.
"Time will tell that when…." She paused and turned her head towards the prince.
"He is going to find his destined mate," she completed her words and then took out a grey colour stone from her satchel. It was shimmering. She handed it to Fiana.
"Till then keep this stone always closer to him. It would not be able to stop that curse from harming him but it will help him in remain protected from it and the day this stone will find its destined possessor, he will find his mate too,"
Fiana took that stone from her and wagged her head. After that, the witch took her leave and left from the castle, giving the couple a hope that their son would get free from that curse once he would mark his mate but little did they know what their son's destiny had really stored for him and his mate.
…………….
"Ouch ….."
"What happened, Aria?" The Alpha of the Silver Shade Pack, Slade Kensley, asked his pregnant mate who was clutching her swollen belly and just groaned.
"She just kicked me, Slade," Aria answered her mate, smiling. Her words brought a smile to Slade's face. Placing his palm over her belly, he gently caressed it.
"Seems like our little princess loved her father's idea of coming to this woods for a walk,"
Aria chuckled, hearing him. The couple had decided to come and visit in the woods which was just located behind their castle's. They both were enjoying their time together when suddenly the beautiful bright sky started turning dark and gloomy. It alerted Alpha Slade because he could feel the reason behind that sudden gloominess. Grabbing his pregnant mate's hand, he shielded her behind him and clutched the grip of his sword.
"Come out, right now," he seethed out, while peering at that darkness around them with his steel grey eyes. Aria clutched his shoulder tightly and swallowed hard in fear. She had never witnessed something so terrifying like this.
"I said, come out. I am giving this as a last warning," Slade knew something diabolic was prevailing in that darkness but it was invisible to their eyes. But suddenly he felt an abrupt force passing them which made him take out his sword and pierced it in the air.
A scream resonated whereas Aria's eyes widened in horror, witnessing that blood dripping from his sword. Slade's grey eyes were burning crimson as his wolf had taken over him in alertness.
A fog of dark smoke gathered in front of him from which the blood was flowing aggressively and then he saw that figure emerging from that fog. Aria witnessed a figure falling on the ground which stilled her but Slade's burning eyes hardened by watching a warlock…..
Blood was dripping from the wound he had given him. His sword had penetrated deeper inside his chest. If it would have been a normal sword, it would not be able to do anything to harm him but that sword of his was laced with a special and powerful kind of spell for ending and protection against any kind of diabolic and mystical powers.
"What were you doing here in my territory?" He questioned him. In reply, the couple heard the warlock groaning in extreme amounts of pain before his eyes snapped towards them. Charcoal tears were rolling down from his darkened eyes which were penetrating deeper inside their souls. Aria clutched her mate's hands tightly as soon as she saw his inky eyes gazing at her belly.
Slade gritted his teeth before placing his the tip of his sword at his neck
"What were you doing here?" He snarled. An iniquitous grin formed on the warlock's face, even after his whole body was writhing in pain. His eyes were shedding the tears of blood now.
"Your daughter will pay for this, Slade…." His words unleashed his inner beast. Slade shoved his sword inside his abdomen, earning a soul piercing scream from him. A sob broke out from Aria's mouth.
She saw black smoke again gathering all around that warlock's body which started making her body fade and then it completely vanished into thin air. Aria was shivering in pure terror by now which made Slade embrace her tightly until.
"Your daughter will pay for this, Slade Kensley," a female whimpering scream echoed in the woods, freezing the couple. Slade was quick enough to figure out whose voice that was…. witch Sirena….he had heard a lot about her and her powers.
"We had not come here to harm you or your loved ones but now……your life's most precious thing will burn in this same pain in which I am burning today,…" that crying voice grew louder, growling, almost flaming their ears.
"Your daughter will watch her love dying in front of her eyes the way you have made me witness today, Slade Kensley,"
The couple had numbed to their place by now. The darkness around them turned more cavernous.
"The day her mate will mark her, she will become mateless. Her mate will die in front of her own eyes….. and she wouldn't be able to do anything just like me…."
AFTER 12 YEARS"AEREZA…..where are you? Grandma, have you seen Aereza?" "No, I haven't," she sighed, hearing her grandmother Wren, who was pouring some green colour liquid into a tiny glass bottle."What happened, Ivory?" She heard her grandmother asking her. The 18 year old Ivory heaved a sigh."I have made her favourite crispy potato balls and they are getting cold now but this girl is nowhere to be found," She witnessed her grandmother chuckling at her words. Her grandmother capped that glass bottle and placed it on the wooden rack where other glass bottles were. "I am sure, she might be collecting those colourful stones in the backside of our house with her friends," "No, grandma. I had gone to that place but she was not there," Ivory uttered, making her grandmother confused."Then where is Aereza?" "I am here, grandma," Both the women turned their heads and looked at the door and there that little figure was standing. Both Wren and Ivory's gaze enlarged by witnessing that 11
AFTER 9 YEARS The sound of the swords clashing against each other, penetrated the invisible walls of air. Her hold tightened around her sword's grip as she raised it in the air to dodge her opponents hits and peered at them with her steel grey eyes keenly. Clutching her jaw, she used her full body strength and shoved away those 3 men who were fighting with her and tackled all three of them together on the ground. A bell rang, indicating the fight had ended. The crowd cheered and applauded for her victory.Lifting her sword high in the air, she removed that cloth from her face which was masking her whole face, except her eyes. Tilting her head, she looked at her grandma who was standing in the crowd and was smiling at her proudly. Her silver eyes warmed up just at her mere presence.Dropping her sword down, she bowed her head in front of the king Alanso who was sitting on his throne. After that, she walked out of that battle field and straight went to her grandma."I am so proud of my
"So we finally met," his hoarsely rough voice penetrated her ears whereas his amber eyes remained glued with her grey ones. His burly physique and tall frame resonated authority, dominance but most importantly cruelty. His darkened aura overshedded the darkness prevailing in that gloomy cell. His gaze keenly stared at her. "What an honour to meet you, Princess Alexandria," Aereza watched an insolent smirk crept on his chiselled face as he uttered those words to her. So they all were mistaking her for Princess Alexandria. Aereza made no efforts to correct his mistake because that was least of her concern at that moment. She witnessed his eyes took a brief overview of her whole body which turned his grin more iniquitous and cunning. Aereza clenched her jaw when his gaze again collided against her orbs. "So, will Princess Alexandria Wilderwood do me the pleasure by telling me what she was doing in my territory at this time of the night?"his tone held amusement as he asked her. He had
The next morning, Aereza reached that hut where she used to live with her grandmother Wren. Her home, the only place where she could afford to fall down her rigid walls of bravery and courage. The hut was made up of wood and mud. The place was very small but it was big enough for Aereza to breathe in relief unlike the rest of the whole world. She entered the hut and saw her grandmother cleaning the floor. "Grandma," she uttered in her displeased tone. Wren looked at the door and she finally exhaled a breath of calmness by watching Aereza standing there in front of her completely alright. Whenever Aereza would step out of that door, Wren always used to feel that terrifying fear of something wrong happening to her. Although she had full trust in Aereza's fighting skills and sharp mind, Wren still felt that fear for her granddaughter because she knew how immoral and brutal the outside world was. What brutality this world had done to her granddaughter, Ivory, it was still refresh in her
"That witch Sirena cursed you," A shiver ran down Aereza's spine when she heard those words escaping from her mouth. She hurriedly got up and looked at her grandmother, startled. Wren heaved a sigh before nodding."She cursed you that you will feel that same pain which she had felt that day of losing her love, her mate because of your father," Wren said. Aereza just gazed at her."And her curse was that the day your mate will mark you, you would have to watch your mate dying in front of your own eyes. The day you will get marked by your mate, you will turn mateless," For a brief moment, Aereza felt like everything around her turned numb. A sudden kind of aching started throbbing inside her. She didn't know where it was hurting her but it was hurting her real bad. Although, she had never even thought about having her mate beside her, even in her dreams but still, she couldn't control that pain ripping her existence apart after knowing that even if someday, she would find her mate, sh
Aereza watched him throw those ripped parts of body on the ground and then he wiped that blood on his face with the back of his arm like it was not someone's blood but his sweat. All this while his eyes didn't get away from her face for a single second, neither she looked away from him. Tilting his head a bit and maintaining that wicked smirk on his face, Darren's feet tried to make their way towards her. By peering into those silver balls, he walked towards her. He had just taken a couple of steps when someone came in front of him, blocking his view. Darren snapped his gaze towards that blockage and found the Alpha of Emerald Stone Pack standing before him. His jaw clenched in pure rage which made his palms start shifting into sharp and callous claws of his beast so that he could tear him apart because now nothing could keep her away from him. He was just about to attack him but stopped when Alanso got on his knees and lowered his head in front of him."We are accepting our defeat,
Leaning against the headboard of the bed and sipping from his glass of liquor, Darren was patiently waiting for the arrival of that grey-eyed owner. He had called for her and now both, he and his wolf, Thunder, they both were wanting her presence in front of them as soon as possible, especially his wolf, he was longing to have his mate closer to him but instead of getting pleasured with her intoxicated presence, Darren saw his beta, Rowan, entering into the chamber. Darren's displeased gaze told Rowan that he was not waiting for his arrival and he knew exactly for whose arrival he was waiting there. "She has left the castle for her home," he informed Darren which made Darren lift his one brow. "Aereza Monroye lives with her grandmother. She doesn't live here," Darren took another sip from his glass and silently heard his beta. "Should I send someone to take her here to present her in front of you?" He asked which made Darren smirk viciously. Rowan saw him shaking his head in a n
"This is your chamber," hearing the maid, Aereza stepped inside the chamber. She wandered her eyes everywhere and caught herself getting mesmerised with the ethereal beauty of that chamber because she could not just help it after watching that place. Different kinds of carvings were encrusted in the walls and ceiling of that chamber. It was neither very big nor too small. It was not reeking of royalty but it had a beautiful touch of serenity. Perfect for someone like her to live who hated overly luxuries of living. That chamber had a couple of big windows and from one of them, the gleaming light of the moon was straight coming inside through it and was falling on the bed which was placed in the head of that chamber. A dimmed chandelier was burning just above and in the middle of the bed, enhancing the captivating aura of that chamber room. It was perfect…. perfect for fulfilling her unthinkable needs. Aereza felt like this chamber had been made only with the purpose of completing he
