I leaned against the counter, sipping tea Olivia had made. She didn’t seem to need to sleep but was happy to sit on the couch as I fell asleep with my head on her lap. Her hands brushed through my hair as she hummed different songs that lulled me to sleep. My alarm went off at 5 a.m. to get ready for the day, but I didn’t know what I was going to do now. The air in the house was electric. For the first time in over five years, the house seemed full and happy. Olivia and the kids decorated a tree in the corner, and she even started to use a bit of fey magic to decorate the house.
