Chapter 37 - Saving her

"Seems like you got the chance to prove the facts that you were stating before," Arya said, taking a few steps backward and casually sitting on the side. "Let's see what you've got," she added, and I couldn't help but feel amused by her reaction. She didn't seem the least bit hesitant or nervous in this situation.

"Anything specific you want, mah lady?" I teased her, glancing at the vampires, who seemed unhappy with our casual conversation.

"No need to be that cocky. Do what is needed, and don't spill too much blood here. I plan to lie down here until sunrise," she said; though it was dark, I could still see that my "mah lady" had affected her.

The vampires must have thought they had enough of our conversation because they didn't let me reply to Arya. All five of them launched themselves at me simultaneously. I grabbed the throats of the first two vampires that came towards me, but the other three took the opportunity. One of them punched me, another kicked my leg, causing me to fal
