Avery Elise’s P. O. V.

“Avery, last night you were being accused of trying to kill Tiffany. You still remember the whole details, don’t you?”

I looked at my husband and saw that his face was still stoic, but his eyes never left me. I feel nervous about his father’s presence, yes, but the fact that he’s just right there and watching me is strangely giving me the comfort that I’ll be okay.

“Never forget a single detail,” I said while looking into Duke’s eyes.

When I heard Morgan grinning with a sound, I blinked a couple of times before I looked at their side again.

“What about it?” I asked, making my voice to sound with no emotion.

If there’s another thing I learned from my father, that’s to end a meaningless topic or conversation. And this issue with Tiffany is totally meaningless to me, now that I’ve come to my senses after getting a rest.
