Chapter 54

Dylan kneeled right next to me, trying to hold me in his arms.

When he touched me though, I shoved him away.

I hated that his touch caused an amazing electric feeling to run through my body. I hated it because I wanted him to touch me, but at the same time, I was so angry with him.

"Maybe you should leave," I faintly heard Eric say.

I only felt as Dylan moved away from me, and was about to attack Eric.

I had to get up, and stand between them. Dylan was going to take it out on Eric, and that was definitely not fair.

"Leave," I told Dylan.

"This is my house too, and I'm not leaving anywhere," Dylan retorted.

He was right. In that moment, more than any other, I felt like I didn't belong there.

"Fine, then I'm leaving," I told him.

Just as I was about to take a step toward the door, Dylan stopped me.

"I'll go."

I looked up at him, narrowing my eyes.

"Maybe you should lie down for a little while. You look tired," Dylan said.

I didn't say anything, only kept my eyes on him, as I waited for
