Rated R VersionAfter saying our goodbyes, I was met with Eric staring at me- raising an eyebrow."What?" I asked him, when he wouldn't look away."The power of women is amazing," Eric commented."What are you talking about?" I asked him, scrunching my eyebrows."Actually, your power with men is amazing."I continued staring at him, going as far as crossing my arms. I wasn't intimidating- at least not to Eric. It didn't seem like he cared much that I was his Luna."Blake is throwing his pack in a war to help you. That is very impressive," Eric said, grinning. It was always the same thing with him. Apparently, only Blake and I knew that our friendship wasn't remotely close to anything romantic. Eric still made comments here and there, insinuating Blake was interested for another reason. It wasn't like that though.Every single time I talked to Blake- he would start the conversation by telling me something that Christy had said. A few times I had even gotten a chance to talk to her myse
Jace, John, and Eric had stayed behind. Eric was usually around, and he claimed he hadn't eaten all morning. I was almost sure that was not true.Jace seemed curious as to why I had offered another hour to the guys, and John probably stayed because he's third in command. While Dylan began talking with John and Jace, Eric was keeping me company in the kitchen. He kept picking at the pieces of bacon I was frying in the pan. By the time I put them in the plate, half of the bacon strips were gone."If you keep doing that, I'm never going to finish," I scolded him.He just grinned at me, shrugged, and popped another piece in his mouth. When Eric and I walked into the dining room with the breakfast I'd just made- Dylan, Jace, and John went silent."Why did you delay the meeting?" Dylan asked. The other guys had already started serving their plates, except for Dylan.I began piling his plate with food, taking my time. I was only buying myself some time- not that it would matter in the end. I
Alpha Caine was extremely strong. Benjamin said Alpha Caine alone could take on more than ten Wolves in just minutes. He'd brought along fighters, which was that much more helpful. Blake was coming as well with plenty of men. Benjamin spoke of how strong Blake was and how much more he'd become since he'd taken the Alpha position years ago. He also reminded me we had the strongest pack in the US. I had to have faith in the pack, but most of all- I had to have faith in my mate. His words calmed me down enough to stop my struggling- at least for now."Benjamin, do you think I can move over to the next cell?" I asked him.He was about to leave and stand guard upstairs. When he noticed I pointed to the cell that was closest to the Rogue, he shook his head."I'm not sure that's a good idea. He's dangerous," Benjamin said, eyeing the Rogue that had just picked up his head to look at us."Please, I don't want to be down here alone. And, I have no one to talk to," I pleaded. He gave the Rogu
Blake's POVI woke up feeling someone's lips on me."Awake early, are we," I said to Christy, who continued sucking on my neck."I was missing you," she said, slightly biting me.A chill ran down my body, and I wrapped my arms around her waist, shifting us so I was over her."Didn't have enough last night?" I asked, looking down at her.She wrapped her legs around my waist, making me aware that she was naked under me."I had enough, I just want more," she said, picking up her head to kiss me.I grinned in the kiss, but pulled away after just a few moments."None of that right now," I told her, getting up from the bed.She growled at me, like she did every time I pulled away."Why? I want you right now," she said, crossing her arms and accentuating her breasts."You can reward me after my return, tomorrow," I told her, as I gathered my clothes from the couch.Last night I had picked my attire, and my suitcase was packed as well."I don't want you to go," Christy said, just before I ent
"What?" Eric was the first to say something after my offer to Liam.Liam raised his eyebrows, looking surprised I'd offered him to join the pack."It's a great idea. It's not like Liam did anything to us," I told Eric."We've had you locked up here for months. It looks like you're torturing yourself enough on your own. Being alone in a cell isn't any form of rehabilitation. At least out there, you'd be helping out the pack," I replied, shrugging.I looked between Liam and Eric. While Eric didn't look so convinced with my idea, Liam seemed to be thinking it over."Your mate isn't going to let that happen. When Robert came to talk to me, he told me the Alpha refused to let any of the Rogues free- but especially me, he would never let go," Liam said.I remembered Robert. He'd been one of the Rogues who crossed Midnight Moon territory. They were the first Rogues who tried to get Liam back."He won't let you go, but he'll let you become part of the pack," I insisted."Leila, I have to agre
"Blake's right. You should go out there. Alpha Nicolas is the priority for now," I said, looking at Dylan. He was looking at me with a pained expression. The same look Blake had been giving Christy earlier."I'll be fine. Go, protect the pack," I said, looking up at Dylan.Blake had backed up closer to Christy, who was still trying to reach out for him.Dylan nodded at me, lowering his head to nestle it in my neck."I love you. Don't forget that. I'm keeping you here because I want you to be safe," Dylan said, while giving my waist a playful squeeze.I nodded at him in approval. After what I found out about Christy, I felt drained."I love you too," I said, searching for his lips.I could hear the men going back upstairs. I ignored their noisy exit, and focused on Dylan's hungry lips. They tasted sweet, and it was refreshing after the news I'd just learned. When Dylan pulled away, I reached up to give him one last kiss. He smiled down at me, probably enjoying the attention."I'll miss
Just like it had been before, another fight broke out. We were outnumbered two to one. This time however, it didn't seem like it would be as easy. The pack Wolves were bigger than the Rogues Liam and Eric had taken care of before. If that wasn't enough, my dad was the Beta of Staten pack. He was one of the strongest Wolves I knew.My dad had just been watching- as Liam, Eric, and Christy took to fighting the Wolves. This time, Eric wasn't able to protect me. He was too busy attempting to fight off three Wolves while trying not to get killed.Whenever I tried attacking any of the Wolves that came with my dad, they would push me away- but they didn't harm me.After my fifth attempt at fighting them and them not doing anything, I figured I could use that to my advantage.I was trying to help Eric fight off the Wolves. It was easy, since none of them touched me. I could only guess that Alpha Nicolas had given them an order not to hurt me.Liam was fighting with all he had. He was doing w
I was surprised when he ran toward the trees, and came back seconds later wearing a pair of shorts."Don't fucking touch my mate!" Dylan growled, as he roughly took me from Blake's arms."Then fucking take her to the doctor!" Blake replied with a growl of his own. They both stared at each other menacingly. I tried to keep up with what was happening, but I could already feel myself drifting away."Shit! Take her, now!" I faintly heard Christy yelling, before everything went black.I woke up feeling disoriented. My mind was awake, but my eyes were closed and I couldn't manage to open them.I kept my breathing even- slowly attempting to open my eyes.Dylan's scent was all over the place. The room was lit- letting me know that it was day. I could tell that I was in the guest room where I usually ran to whenever I got mad at Dylan.I propped myself up in the bed. My muscles felt sore, like if I hadn't moved them in a while."Leila," Dylan's voice came from my side.I looked at him, and mem
