ALICE

When I arrived at Ambrosia, there was an extra bouncer that I didn’t recognize but seemed to spot me immediately, ushering me in without a word. I found my way to the bar, grabbing a drink before looking out into the familiar scene. I can’t remember the last time I went to Envy, its high chaotic energy used to feel like home and now the dark cages and constant pulse of the atmosphere here already felt like I belonged. 

Something was definitely different though about tonight's energy, an extra layer of adrenaline was like a buzz in the air as I slipped through the crowd and made my way up the winding stairs to the second floor. I watched below as bodies ground against each other, and the dancers fell into their own world.
