Kelly was still asleep when I came back to our room. The tiredness that she was so good at hiding finally showed. Seeing the state she was in, I decided not to wake her up and just bring dinner into our room after I finished our meeting with Mateo’s dad.

Alpha Maximus has been my father’s friend, along with Alpha Dexter. I know that if there were someone I should trust, it would be him. He had never betrayed me or gone against me, even when I became the leader of the Alliance after my father died.
