The travel home was smooth. Leo took his time with the borrowed truck that was lent to us. He drove while Aiden sat shotgun, and I enjoyed the scenery that I hadn’t been able to appreciate before because Sean was moving so fast.

I've just noticed how different the Silver Fang pack is from the Mystic Moon and Starlight pack. Silver Fang has fewer trees than Mystic Moon; stone walls surround it with no flowers to add some color.

Both Mystic Moon and Starlight packs feature an abundance of colors, ranging from trees to vegetable and flower gardens. Our lands also boast of children playing happily in front of their homes. But in Silver Fang, there is no such thing, and I am not sure if it was before Mateo’s father killed their Alpha or after.

When I asked Leo about it, he told me that most of the people of the Silver Fang pack were held prisoner, except for the women, the old, and the children, who were temporarily stationed at the school of the pack, where makeshift beds were created.

“Your father killed your mother.”The sentence echoed in my mind, and the world seemed to start spinning. I know that this isn’t the first time I've heard this line. Still, the impact that the sentence had on me the first time that I heard it remains the same, painful. “What are you saying?” Aiden asked, and my heart broke even more upon hearing the anguish in his voice. I know that he is feeling the same pain and anger that I was feeling. Perhaps we already knew there was a possibility, but none of us entertained it. We are talking about our parents, the people who brought us into this world, the people who chose each other as mates. I know my father had his first love, and despite Merry's repeated claims, I don’t believe my mother would have stolen him from someone. Something is missing in this story. “I saw it with my own eyes,” Katherine continued as she screamed her pain, the secret she held inside of her. “I was going to tell your father,” she continued as she looked at Leo,

“And for what it’s worth, you look exactly like your mother.”I'm unsure whether to take her comment as a compliment or not, even though a small part of me couldn’t help but be happy because of it. My mother and I didn’t have a lot of time together, because she and my father are away on a mission.I never minded their absence because, in my memory, I have always felt that I was loved. Although I often can’t remember exactly how my mom looked, I can still feel the warmth she always showed me.“Please, take a seat,” I motioned for her to sit on the chair she had been sitting in earlier as I took the one across from it. Leo sat silently beside me, which caught Katherine’s attention.&ld

I expected to be exhausted after what we did, but as soon as we were both awake, I felt more alive. I didn’t know that angry sex could feel this satisfyingly good. It’s been a while since Leo and I had a time like this together. Both of us had been busy with all that has been happening around us, but I was still glad that we were both able to have a moment like this. I moved to my side with my eyes still closed when his low, sultry voice made me open them.“Good Morning,” he greeted. “I can see that you have a good morning.” The smile on his face disappeared as it was replaced with worry. “Did I not satisfy you?” He asked, sitting up, but never removed his eyes from me. “You did,” I said, even though I really wanted to tease him more; I just knew that I needed to give him a break. He released a sigh of relief before turning his focus on me once again. “Let’s stay in bed,” he said, lying on his side with his hand supporting his head as he looked down on me. “I feel like we won’t

Kelly“But I think I know what my choice would be.”Hearing Mika’s answer gave me mixed feelings. I was happy that she would stay with me, and I know that Lylia would be safe with her. I just can’t help but feel like she is being forced into a situation that wasn’t meant for her. “If you’re thinking that I would feel guilty if you wish to go back to your pack, I am not,” I told her, hoping it wasn't the reason she chose to stay. “I totally understand if you needed to go home.” “I have always known how much I missed you since you came back here. I never allowed anyone to touch or buy the house you stayed at in Starlight pack, maybe because a small part of me was still hoping that you would come back.” She replied, deep in thought, before looking back at me. “Before we came here, one of the reasons why Mom came with me was because Mateo and I already had a hunch of what was about to come.”She paused as she tried to choose her words, which I know was hard for her because Mika was neve

I am not sure if it was the trip here or the information I received that made me so tired that I couldn’t have dinner. Luckily, Leo prepared an excellent breakfast for me. “Feeling better?” He asked as he handed me my favorite hot chocolate. “I’m not sure,” I replied, taking the mug from his hand as he took the seat opposite mine. I took a sip of hot chocolate, and I couldn’t help but feel energized for a little while. “I didn’t wake you up for the meeting last night. You were sound asleep, and I didn’t want to disturb you because I know just how tired you are.” I tore a piece of bread and popped it into my mouth. “What did you talk about?” I asked curiously as I continued to eat my breakfast. Leo gave me a rundown of what Merry was up to and what she did to Ella’s coven, making me lose my appetite. I’m not quite sure what happened exactly, and I'm unsure what the right thing to do is. I can’t believe that someone could be as cruel as her. “How is Ella?” I asked after knowing t
