6 - First day of the Conference

I excuse myself to go to the powder room and told Alpha king "I am going to the powder room."

He loses his grip on my hand and said "okay, let's go."

I was taken aback "What, are you coming to the powder room with me?" I asked

He replied, "Yes, is that a problem?"

I replied, "of course, it is a problem, I can take care of myself you don't have to be with me all the time, and also you can not enter in ladies' toilet."

He replied, "I will wait for you outside."

I responded. " Don't be ridiculous." and roll my eyes.

"How dare you, you silly girl, try to offend our king like this." it was one of the authorities of the king's pack.

He was about to say more but the Alpha king interrupted him "How dare you talk to her that way Hamilton." he snapped at him.

"But my king, she insulted you," he said terrified.

"I will look at this, you don't have to be here, you are already late for the conference." Alpha king snapped at him.

I ask the Alpha king "Can I please go alone.? I said every word bitterly.

"Please, I will wait for you here, come soon," he said kindly. And I went to the powder room.

I thought to myself sometimes I do talk without any filter, that Hamilton didn't know anything and I do insult the alpha king. I reached the powder room and went into one of the cabinets.

I heard two ladies talking about me.

"Did you see that girl clinging to our Alpha king." said lady 1

"Yes, she was holding his hand from the beginning." said lady 2

"My mate was so furious looking at them, he did not like girls who throw themselves on the higher ranking to gain access to the luxurious life." said lady 1

"But I think the case is different here, our king is also holding her hand, he didn't ridicule her one time." lady 2 said.

"I don't know what is going on, she is so small she doesn't match with the Alpha king." lady 1 said.

I was done with their judgment who are they to judge me by my looks or whatever.

I unlock the cabinet door and they stopped talking and look at me and they started to eye themselves.

Lady 1 ask me when I went to wash my hands "Hi, who are you, we didn't see you before."

I replied sarcastically " I don't cling to the lower ranking."

She got so furious and barked at me " How dare you bitch, do you know who I am."

I replied "Obviously ma'am, if I had acknowledged you, why will I not bow to you then? Are you from any higher authorities? Or you mate."

Lady 2 replied "You don't know us then how dare you to cling to our Alpha king?

I finished my washing and I ignored her to go outside but one of them grab my hand and pushed me outside.

I was caught off guard as I wore these ridiculous heels, I was imbalanced and about to meet the floor but firm hands gripped my shoulder to support me.

And Alpha king came running in my right direction, when I saw who it was, it was Beta May. He let me stand properly and Alpha King growled loudly.

He yelled at all the people surrounding us "Who the f*ck did this.?"

I replied to him "Nobody, I tripped because of those heels" and I pointed at my heels.

"If you say so, I believe you, Come" I replied gritting my teeth.

He took my hand again and said "I will hold you otherwise you will again trip because of these heels."

I walk with him and after a distance, I said " I did that to save those two ladies from your wrath, if I want to punish them, I will punish them my way. I don't need you Alpha."

He replied to me "Do you think they can escape this after doing this to you?"

I questioned him "You are not going to do anything right, I wanted to tell you that I will discipline them as how I like, I don't want your interference."

He just smiled

And I continued " and how do you know, why did you come running to me.?

He smiled again and said, "My beta linked me."

I said sarcastically "Lovely."

We went to the conference again and he met again some people. He was meeting them as per their ranking so my time to talk with him would be the last as per my ranking.

We had lunch and met some more people and I wondered where the hell Gamma Richard is. I have not seen him when he went to stuff his mouth.

I was so bored by this pack's ridiculous blabbering about issues. Some want shopping malls, some want gaming zone, and some want access to the jungle to have fun, some want access to go to the human world.

I feel disgusted with this kind of thing that is why the Alpha king is unaware of the danger coming our way.

It was the evening now and everybody looked tired so the Alpha king thought to continue this the next day.

Alpha king said to me "Are you tired?" and I took a sigh of relief and smiled.

He understood and went to the stage to announce "Hello friends, I know I am here to announce that this conference meeting is for a week so we will continue this tomorrow, I will meet those people who are left. Till then Good night everyone."

Everyone applauded at this and went to the exit.

I felt relieved too, and I went to go to my room. Alpha king came to me and said "Where are you going, I end this so I can spend some alone time with you."
