Ava's Point Of View

My heart stops, my legs Frozen in place as I stare at my battered and tortured friend, Tasha, the intruder.

"Ava?" Kaden says, sounding surprised. He moved a bit closer to me. I couldn't fully see his face clearly.

"What are you doing here?" he asks, turning to look at the Delta behind me."I didn't want you to see this. Leave!" his tone got stronger as he urged me.

"I---" I began to speak but stopped by the loud sound of growling coming from behind me.

"Mate!" the word flies out from his lips, catching everyone in the room by surprise. Everyone's eyes travel to Lorenzo and I in shock. I looked over at Tasha who was kneeling on the ground. The look on her face confirmed Lorenzo's claim. They were both mates. Everyone exchanged worried glances at each other.

How was the intruder Tasha? What was she doing here? Oh goddess, this wasn't good, I learnt by now that the pack had a zero tolerance rule against Intruders, mostly ones that knew about their curse and were in
