Julia's pov

I followed behind Alpha Kane who had withdrawn me from Dylan's walk. Once again, he saved me. However, he dismissed Penelope and asked me to follow him.

I had no idea of what he planned or where he was taking me, but I did need time away from my room.

Kane stopped only when we arrived at his car. He opened the door for me and I gratefully bowed before getting in.

As Kane settled in the driver's seat, he ignited the engine and drove the car out of the pack house.

The drive felt endless, and the further we went, the more my mind raced with questions. Kane hadn’t told me anything about where we were headed, just that he wanted to take me somewhere special. The silence in the car wasn’t uncomfortable, but it wasn’t helping the knots of curiosity twisting inside me either. I watched the trees blur by outside the window, trying to guess, trying to piece together where we might be going.
