Chapter 88

The moment Selene stepped back into the ritual chamber, the air felt heavier. The First Flame still pulsed in her palm, radiating warmth and power that she could feel down to her bones.

Killian’s eyes searched her face, relief and pride mixed with tension as he pulled her in his arms.

“You did it,” he said quietly, his hand brushing hers. “The First Flame… It’s yours.”

Selene nodded, as her face broke into a rare smile, “It’s not just mine. It’s for the pack, for every wolf Morgana wants to harm.”

A sudden chill ran through the room. The torches flickered violently, though there was no wind. The shadows along the walls seemed to stretch unnaturally, making Selene and Killian both turn sharply.

“She knows,” Selene whispered, her voice tight. “She knows the First Flame has awakened.”

Killian’s jaw tightened, his hands tightening into fists, “Then she’s coming.”

Far above the hidden chambers, in the tower that Morgana had claimed for herself, a blackened wind howled through th

Chapter 89The forest was unusually quiet that night. Even the wind seemed to hold its breath. Selene and Killian moved silently through the trees, their senses alert. Every leaf, every rustle, every faint shadow was amplified in their awareness. The First Flame pulsed faintly in Selene’s palm, a constant reminder of the power now part of her. She could feel Morgana’s magic, dark and twisted, moving through the forest toward them. It was like ice crawling along her skin.Killian’s hand tightened around hers. “She’s close,” he said. “I can feel it.”Selene nodded, her eyes scanning the shadows. “She’s testing us. She wants to see how strong we’ve become. If we make one wrong move, the Dark Binding will begin tonight.”From the north, a sudden wave of black mist swept through the trees. Wolves scattered, yelping and snapping at the invisible threat. Selene and Killian both leap into action, shielding the smaller wolves from the encroaching darkness.Selene raised her hand, letting the F

Chapter 87 The ritual chamber beneath the pack lands was silent except for the soft humming coming from the ancient symbols carved into the floor. Selene stood at the center, feeling her heartbeat echo through the glowing marks. Killian stayed close behind her, one hand resting on her shoulder to keep her steady. The torches around the room suddenly went out. Darkness filled the chamber, and a deep voice echoed around them. “Child of the Primordial Blood… you were not meant to awaken this early.” Silver flames gathered in the air and formed a massive wolf with eyes that shone like full moons. It was the Ancient Guardian, the spiritual protector of Selene’s bloodline. Its presence made the air heavy, but Killian stepped forward without fear. His voice was steady as he responded, “If she has awakened, it is because she was needed,” he said firmly. The Guardian studied him before turning its attention back to Selene, “Morgana has broken the old laws. She has stolen a piece of the

Chapter 86 The cold silence of the archives settled over Selene and Killian as they stood before the drawing. The lantern flickered again, casting long shadows on the walls. Selene felt the chill settle into her bones, the kind that came with truth she was not ready to face. Killian stepped closer to the book. His jaw tightened as he studied the words written beneath the drawing of young Selene. “The wolf born of two moons,” he read quietly. Selene swallowed hard. “I did not even know this about myself. How did Morgana know?” Killian closed the book gently and looked around the chamber. “Someone must have written this long before either of us was born. This drawing, this prophecy… it has been here for decades. Maybe longer.” Selene’s fingers tightened around the edge of the table. “That means Morgana learned about me from this very room. These archives once belonged to the old Alpha line. If she ever had access to them…” Killian nodded slowly. “She could have discovered everyt

The Luna bond had settled into the pack like a soft breath. But peace, Selene realized, never stayed long here.By midday, the quiet harmony around the pack house shifted.
