KILLIAN'S POV

After making out with Erika, I slept soundly that night. But when I woke up the next morning, I had a whim that something was not right. The soldiers who had been on watch the previous night hadn't alerted me of any enemy presence. But inwardly, I kept feeling like the enemy had already come.

I stood up from the bed and walked to the wardrobe, pulling out a black shirt and black trousers. I looked back at the bed, Erika was still fast asleep.

Dressed up, I gently opened the room door and sneaked out of the room. My plan was to go to the outskirts of the pack and wait there for the Vampire Lord's arrival. If the battle commenced there, that'd give my pack enough time to make the escape preparations.
