KILLIAN’S POV

“Don’t tell me you’re so weak, Alpha Killian. What was all that hype from the Congress about you? Look whom they told me to be careful while fighting,” Aldres spat.

I could barely see with my eyes as I lay on the warm floor after receiving countless blows from the vampire.

“Stand up,” he said to me, “stand up and fight! I want to give you an honorable end!”

I staggered up and spat blood out of my mouth. My spine had shifted when Aldres dropped me from the sky, but I was able to squeeze it back in form when he was punching me on the floor.

I took in a deep breath and closed my eyes shut, concentrating blood on the nerves of my ears, making my hearing ten times sharper. I needed to last longer in this battle so as to buy the pack enough time to escape.
