It would be our break, all the maids tend to take them in rotation, I can ask mom to arrange ours to be at the same time and we can go.” She said and I smiled. Killian: I cleaned the cut that was on my fingers and shook my head as I recalled what happened. The fact that I found the man waiting for us was something that annoyed me. It only showed me that he wanted me to find him. The Bernardi were playing a dangerous game, and that was something that they all knew, but the consequence that would follow what they were doing was going to be lethal. And their assassin’s head being sent to them in a box, when they initially expected it to be mine, would be direct proof of it. However, for now, that was the last thing that I was concerned about. It was clear to me that they were not going to leave without that woman, whoever she was, being found, and the fact that someone, one of them, was hiding the way that she was, in my territory, was causing more of a stir than I would like. Eleanor: Alpha Killian hissed in pain and I frowned, removing the cloth from his hand for a second. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you.” I said, and he shook his head as he looked me in the eye. “It’s just a sting,” he said, taking me off guard. I knew that I would have gotten a slap or two, even though it wouldn’t be my fault, back at the house for the simple sting of trying to help. The lesson of not helping when he was injured was one that I learned the hard way as I grew older. That is of course, unless I was ordered to help. Then I would be having no choice to think otherwise. Eleanor: I couldn’t help the smile that formed on my lips as I walked into the bedroom, my bedroom, as my cheeks reddened. I held onto the shirts and ointment as if they were the most precious thing to me, and to me, they really were. I carefully folded the shirts and put the ointment on the bed before walking to the bathroom to shower. The bruises were yet to heal, though I didn’t really expect them to, considering my shielded wolf. But the fact that I had something that would help me heal was something that I was thankful for. I took a shower, the warm water soothing my aching muscles. I couldn’t even tell anyone that I was hurting, and therefore, I was stuck dealing with the pain on my own, but at this point, I was actually used to it. I rubbed the soap over my body as a smile formed on my lips before I could stop myself. Killian: I walked out of the bathroom, already dressed, to find Eleanor entering the room with my cup of coffee. Having seen her fidgety state, I kept in mind to get dressed instead of walking out on her being naked or simply in my towel. The last thing that I wanted to do was scare her off.
