“They want to speak to you, and you know there's no turning back from this.” Cole reminded me for the tenth time. For the past hour, he had been going on and on about the council Elders’ stupid impromptu meeting.

“I am not going,” I said one last time, staying true to my words. They showed up unannounced; they might as well do away with their lives without informing me, because I am the least interested.
