DARIUS

“Strip, bathe, and dress her like she was put on earth to serve,” I ordered the guards, who gave a stiff bow and dragged the little omega out of my sight.

I could still hear her purring and struggling like a puppy afraid of its new owner.

She amused me, because most omegas who have been taken under debt clauses knew better than to struggle.

They would cry, plead, and then relent, but not this one…

Juliette Hale seemed different after just one encounter. She was defiant, mouthy, and beautiful. She had this fire where there should have been submission.

A shame is what I would call it.

I would have pretended she didn’t exist if only she had kept her head down; rather, she chose to challenge me with her gaze and her actions.

I always love a challenge, and I am definitely not turning away from this one.

An hour later I was alone in my chamber, a place so private no one dared enter without my permission, not even the cleaning maids.

This was my zone, where I found solace in the entirety of the palace, the high glass windows were a design made only for me, they go from the floor to the ceiling, creating a look out onto the estate, and casting darkness on a wall of thick slate. The walks were painted to match my mood, grey and black. There was no other she's allowed, not even books, shelves or stationeries.

This design showed no warmth, no softness, just clean and cool, made for me.

A disruptive knock pulled me out of my thoughts, causing me to glare at the door. I would have ignored it if I wasn't expecting who was on the other side of the door.

“Come in,” I said, and the door creaked open. The little omega walked in, led by two maids who kept their heads down, respectfully.

Her arms were folded firmly across her chest and her legs were rigid. She was in a short black silk slip, custom-made to cling to every part of her curves. The hem fell just below her high hips. Her long hair lay wet and clinging to the flesh; the mug bath clearly was not long enough to dry her off. Her face was pale, and her mouth sealed.

“Go away,” I said, referring to the maids, while still maintaining my gaze on her.

The maids bowed and made their exit. Juliette was in the center of the room looking like she would rather be somewhere else.

She couldn't maintain her gaze with me, staring at everything else but me, I could practically see her embarrassment and fury.

I stood up from my chair, approaching her in calculated steps, allowing each step to resound.

She flinched, but didn’t attempt to run.

Interesting.

I stopped before her and lowered my mouth to her ear, "You look better than I thought you would,” I whispered, before leaning back into my former position, “I was afraid your father’s obligations and illnesses had made you diseased or broken.”

She stayed quiet, but I noticed her hands clench into a fist.

“Hmmm. Have I gone over my rules? I believe you are not aware of it all. So listen carefully.”

“You don’t speak unless you are spoken to.” I paused, speaking softly. “That’s rule number one.”

The little omega gave a forced and stiff nod.

I leaned in and swept a lock of hair from her shoulder, observing her body stiffen under my touch.

“Rule number two,” I continued coldly. “You serve without hesitation. You pour my drink, on my command. You kneel when I tell you to… You ‘suck,’ with that pretty mouth of yours, when I tell you to.”

She gasped, eyes wide, but still she didn’t speak. I moved around her and halted in front of her, cupping her chin with two fingers. Her skin was warm, and soft. Her eyes? Bright green, and wild with hate.

Good.

“This won't get you anything, that's why you don't have a mate…” she muttered and looked away.

I chuckled at her words, they felt funny to me “Who cares about a mate? I don’t believe in fated mates,” I explained. “Or love. Those are beautiful lies crafted to enslave weak minds. What I believe in is ownership.”

I let her go and took a step back, taking in her appearance from head to toe one last time.

“You were born an omega, you were meant to serve an alpha with your body. Now, that alpha is me.” She finally had the guts to look me in the eyes.

“Get on your knees,” I stated placidly, but she remained standing like a log of wood.

“I don't like to repeat myself.” I said in a warning tone, “Kneel!” my tone came out louder, more authoritative, and she sank to her knees slowly, her eyes never leaving mine.

I walked back to my desk and plunged into my seat, "Now crawl over to me," I continued, my tone more frigid.

I expected her to say no, and show her stubborn and defiant side, but she actually went down on all fours and crawled across the floor towards me.

I watched with detached amusement. “You don’t have to like it,” I said. “You just have to learn to do it.”

I cupped her chin when she got to my feet. Her cheeks were red from embarrassment.

“I’ll take pleasure from you whenever I please,” I murmured, unbuttoning trousers. “You will kneel there between my legs and adore the man who owns you.”

She didn’t move, nor blink, as if frozen in time. So I leaned in closer.

“Use your mouth.”

Her eyes burned. She didn’t say a word, but I saw the rage in her eyes as she obeyed and reached for my trousers.

Her hands trembled, she moved slowly, burning time whilst trying to pull out my cock. I was curious to know how much she could take before she snapped.

“Keep going,” I ordered hastily, but her hands continued to quiver, she felt too proud for this.

So I pushed further. “You were born to serve me. The faster you learn that, the easier all this gets.” She stiffened. I could tell then she was reaching the end of the line.

“Look me in the eye while you do it,” I ordered, cruelty oozing out of my tone.

She backed away, slowly, and glared up at me. “I c–can't!” She stuttered, panting heavily, fear evident in her voice. And yet, her eyes, those gorgeous, flaming eyes, remained unyielding.

My chest swelled, and an unfamiliar feeling settled there. It wasn’t desire, lust, or anger. It was a feeling of possession.

Her glare screamed, ‘You don’t own me’.

And I wanted to scorch that lie from her, prove her wrong in a million ways and more.

I stood up, seized her hand, and knocked her up against the wall so swiftly she gasped. Her back met the cold walls of my chamber.

She didn't wince because I didn't intend to hurt her, I leaned in until my mouth was inches from her ear and I whispered, my voice low and indifferent, “You think you are tough? You are sadly mistaken little omega, because I will break you slowly until you learn how to bow to me”

JULIETTEThe courtroom was strained with tension, opposition clung to the air and sharpened every glance from the nobles, including Beta Cole. Their displeasure was impossible to hide, it sat plainly on their faces, unmasked and very deliberate. It was all they could do, really glare and seethe in silence. None of them dared to speak against Darius or question my presence in their council.I wasn’t exempt from the discomfort either. As Darius’s slave, I had no rightful place in that room. This wasn’t one of the gatherings he sometimes dragged me to for display, this was different. This was sacred. The kind of meeting where the fate of the pack was decided, where strategies were debated, where every voice in the room held weight. And mine was not one of them. Not as an Omega, not even as his slave.Yet there I was. Not kneeling, not standing at the back, I was seated by Darius’s side.An outrage to their order.Amidst the silent chaos, Darius sat unbothered, his hand resting casually o

JULIETTEDarius should have been the last person I ever thought of running and breaking down. Heck, he wasn't supposed to see me this way. Yet I found myself buried in his arms even after he led me to his bed.On the other hand, he equally surprised me, or maybe it was just the shock of the moment. He didn't question me, didn't push me away, or use this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to move me and show his superiority.Instead, he held me, tight enough to keep me secured, he caressed my hair to soothe me, and whispered words like, *it's okay,* and *You are alright*.Now that I am in my right senses I can't get over the fact that I chose Darius as my solace. In what world was I thinking? Maybe I just felt overwhelmed when he kept to his words and gave me the chance to find out the horrible truth of my life.My father betrayed me, played with my feelings for fifteen whole years, and my mother? Whom I loved more than anything in this world. Not only did she destroy our family, but she

  • Alpha King Darius   The truth

JULIETTETWO DAYS LATER…I halted before Darius's door, still contemplating the next step to take. I was torn between knocking and making my presence known, and just walking away to avoid Darius's ridicule. But I was haunted, barely getting any sleep after that realistic dream I had. It left me shaken, and every attempt I made to get it out of my mind led to nothing.I needed answers to the questions that plagued my mind. I needed to know if my mother truly died or if my father chose to lie to keep me from wondering what happened to my mother. It was hard to accept a new truth after fifteen whole years. I just couldn't.So I pushed back my fear and pride, placing a gentle knock on the door.“Took you long enough.” Darius's voice boomed from the other side. “Come in.”With a racing heart, I pushed the door open, slowly striding into the room. He was on his bed, with a book in hand and weirdly reading glasses. He looked different, harmless, soft, like a professor, a dangerously hot one.

JULIETTE“Rise and shine sweetheart.” A melodious voice whispered into my ear and I stirred in my bed. I recognized the voice in an instant, my eyes fluttering open.“Mom?” I called, surprised to see her by my bed, staring down at me with her beautiful eyes and contagious smile. “Good morning, pumpkin, I trust you had a good night's sleep.” She asked, leaning down to peck my forehead.Confused, I pushed myself up and swept my gaze around. My lips parted in shock. It wasn't in my tiny room at the castle; I was in my old room from when I was five years old. Everything was the same, from my favorite pink flower blanket to the lilac-painted walls; the only difference was my size. I wasn't five, but my mother didn't seem to notice. This had to be another realistic dream.“Pumpkin, is something wrong?” My mom asked, reaching to touch my face, and I let her, watching her reaction as she caressed and pinched my cheek.“No, Mom, I am fine, just tired from sleeping.” She patted my cheek once m

JULIETTEMy door opened minutes later, and I cocked my head, expecting to see Lilian. Hopefully, she was here to help get this dress off me.However, to my disappointment and somewhat relief, Darius walked in. His presence filled the room with a heavy authority that clung to him like a second skin, making the hair on my neck stand. His gaze settled on me, tracing every inch of my body as he strolled fully into the room, something flickered in his eyes. Admiration, desire, or possession. I wasn't sure, but I caught his lips twitch, no smile no smirk, just a stupid twitch.“Just as I predicted,” he muttered, his tone rough around the edge.I spun fully to face him, raising my chin. “Predicted?” I snapped, grabbing the dress in my hand, “This is what you do the moment you return, play dress up with your little pet.”Darius narrowed his gaze,” What are you talking about?” He asked, pretending to be oblivious of the games he keeps playing.“You know exactly what I am talking about,” I repl

JULIETTETWO DAYS LATER…Finally, Darius’s arrival was announced, and the palace erupted into chaos as everyone rushed outside to welcome him.Well, everyone except me.He left without a word, so why should I bother pretending to care about his return?Besides, with more than a hundred servants, maids, and guards scrambling to greet him, I doubt he’d even notice my absence. And even if he did… I wouldn’t care.At least, that’s what I keep telling myself.Because a part of me knows he would notice. And then he’d storm into my room, his eyes burning with fury, determined to punish me… to touch me. . .No. No, Juliette. Stop it.What a stupid thought to even let in. I hate his punishments. I hate his arrogance, his words, his smile, his body, his face. . . everything about him.Darius is my enemy, and he will always remain that.He ruined my life. Degraded me. Chained me like I was nothing. He deserves my wrath, my hatred, and my revenge. . .nothing else.A sudden knock snapped me out of
