4 - Secret Baby

I couldn't believe my ears. How could he think I was Charmy when he clearly said my name on our wedding night?

"Hilbert, don't be crazy. I know you're doing this because you want revenge on me. But this isn't the way!" I snapped with all my anger. "What if I get pregnant? You said it was a fake contract mate, but you broke it yourself!"

"That's why you can't get pregnant!" he snapped with more force. "I don't want to have a child with an Omega who rejected me. And I never touched you!"

My emotions were so high that my chest felt tight at his words. "What if I get pregnant? If I were the Omega who slept with you on that wedding night, what would you do?"

"I would reject you," he snapped sadistically. "I am not willing to mate with you. Like I said earlier, I don't want any babies in our fake mate contract. If you understand that, then get out of my sight because I'm busy!"

After saying that cruel thing, his servants threw me out and pulled me from the room. While rebelling, I witnessed Hilbert making out with my best friend again after he had successfully broken my heart.

I can still vividly remember how he said he loved me, he wanted to impregnate me, on our wedding night. Did he forget? He said he loved me and didn't want to let me go!

"You don't need to worry, Lizzbeth is just my fake mate contract. My real mate is just you, Charmy."

Hilbert's voice rang out even as I walked away from this room.

My heart was so broken by him. Not only had he forgotten about our bridal night, but he had also forgotten that he had signed me! He had bitten me that night and I was supposed to be his mate!

On my way out, I decided to run away from this place.

That's right. If I can't convince my father to cancel this contract mate, and also if I can't convince Hilbert, then I'd better run away.

"Congratulations, Miss Lizzbeth! You're pregnant!"

The news came from one of my former servants who worked as a doctor.

My intention was just to get myself checked out before I ran away from my pack. But instead, my servant discovered that I was positively pregnant with Hilbert's child.

When I heard that news, when I should have felt happy about the arrival of a new existence in my belly, I felt like my world was crumbling.

'How could that be? We only had sex once that night! How can I be pregnant with his child when I've now escaped from my pack!' I thought in utter despair.

"King Hilbert must be very happy to hear the news of your pregnancy, Miss! We must celebrate!" said my servant joyfully.

But contrary to me, I felt so broken and messy. I asked her to keep my pregnancy a secret from everyone else.

"You can't tell anyone about my pregnancy, okay?" I threatened her. My servant shuddered in horror at my sudden anger. "Moreover, keep it a secret from Hilbert. And also my father. Do you understand what I mean?"

"Very well, Miss," she replied in fear of my threats.

I left the hospital with my heart in my throat. Before finding out about the news of my pregnancy, I thought of saying goodbye to my subordinates before I ran away.

My original intention was actually to bring some of my colony members along on this escape. perhaps with their help, I could do some things to free my colony from Hilbert's grasp.

But unfortunately, even my father never listened to me.

'And now Hilbert rejected me ... How can I get him out of my pack without letting Father know?' I thought with great frustration.

"Ladies and gentlemen! We present King Hilbert and Lady Lizzbeth at this party! Please applaud as loudly as possible!"

I had just stepped away from the hospital with no sense of direction when I heard the sound of cheering coming from the headquarters of my pack.

My ears had not misheard. My pack was organizing an event to welcome Hilbert as the new leader of our pack. But without me!

From a distance covered by the crowds of people arriving, I could see Hilbert standing on the podium with an Omega. They were dressed as a couple. And they were referring to that Omega as me.

Whereas I was originally here! I don't even know anything about the welcoming party!

"Hey, pretty lady. What are you doing here?" An Alpha greeted me as he saw me come down and watch the crowd at the event.

I didn't recognize him. But from his gesture, it seemed like he knew who I was.

"Aren't you Lizzbeth?" he said again. And realizing I was silent, he raised his smile even more. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be there with Hilbert? Don't you think ... he's already dumped you after using you?

His words made me furious. Not that I could fight him because what he said was true. Hilbert had already rejected me. Even worse than this, I was pregnant with his child.

"Hey," I called out to the Alpha, I think he’s able to get me away from here. "Can you take me away? Anywhere, whatever. Just take me away now. I don't want to watch this party for long."

He grinned at me. His hand stretched out as if inviting me to come with him. At that time, I couldn't catch his hidden evil intentions. My heart was covered with jealousy and hatred after watching Hilbert and Charmy hold a bridal party without telling me.

"Of course, I know a good place for a beautiful omega like you, Lizzbeth. I'm sure you can get a replacement for Hilbert tonight," he said. What stupid of me, my brain still hadn't realized his evil intentions towards me at that time.
