Chapter 2 getting killed

I stroke my mom back, trying to make her feel better, and told my mom "mom, I love you so much and I love our pack members, I just hope that the moon goddess will give me a mate from our pack so, I can be here with you guys and even if my mate is not from our pack, I will come very often to meet you guys, I am going to miss you just as much You guys miss me". 

She nodded her head and then break the hug and gave me a small smile with her teary eyes, and I smiled back while wiping her tears from her beautiful face.  Then I noticed that my dad and brother are not here to see me so, I asked my mom in confusion "mom, what happened to Dad and brother, why are they so busy?".

she looks surprised by my question but then she covered it up with a smile thinking I didn't notice it and said normally "they are just busy with your birthday party, and trying to invite as many as non-mated Alphas to know, who is going to get your hand".

Even though I know it was a lie, I didn't ask her anything, as I don't want my mom to get extra anxious than she already is! So I just smiled and nodded my head. Then my mom started to talk to me about some random stuff but I can tell one thing, she was just worried about something and is scared too.

what is exactly happening here? no one is telling me anything! even though they are preparing for my birthday, I don't understand one thing, why are they collecting other rouges to be our pack's guard and they are even training them with our normal warriors and I have never seen something like this happen before. They are still trying their best to collect so many werewolves' soldiers. Then a question popped into my head, is there a war? but how come? every pack in this kingdom is living in peace right? and no one will ever get into our kingdom because we are always far away.

My mom left the room, after talking for a long time. when I asked about this, she just told me it was because of my birthday, but I know something was fishy and I just hope that both my dad and brother can solve it as they are so talented and great.

I lay down on the bed to sleep but all these thoughts were keeping me awake even though I don't want to think about any of them, I just can't help it. Everything is just right under my eyes and how can I not notice it and I feel like something bad is going to happen but, what can I do anything now? when I don't know anything? and why does everyone still treat me like a child, is it because I didn't get my mate? will they at least treat me like an adult when I get my mate tomorrow?

Elena is sleeping peacefully on her bed with a beautiful smile on her face, because of a sweet dream, thinking about her future with her mate but then she heard a loud scream, destroying her beautiful and sweet dream. Her eyes shot open in horror as she got up and sat on the bed with a heavy breath. her eyes opened wide and her heart is beating so fast in fear, she looked around clinching her quilt with her hands and biting her lips in nervousness, trying to think what is happening.

She didn't find anything in her room. Still, she started to hear so many voices from downstairs, it was not like people working or anything but more like crying, begging, and screaming in pain. she had never heard all these voices, she gulped in fear trying to understand what is going on. she got down from her bed, taking small steps towards her room door in nervousness.

She started to walk down in fear trying to not make any noise and to see what is going on. the closer she goes downstairs, the more voices she can hear. she can listen to all the breaking things, and her body is trembling in fear as she never heard all of these things from the day she has born.

when she is finally at the first floor's steps and saw what is happening down there, her eyes widen in shock, she moved back in fear trying to see if it is real or a dream. Her breath ached to see all the bloody scenes.

She saw her pack members getting killed by other werewolves, who look much stronger than their pack, and most of all the warriors are killed and many normal peoples working in the palace is also killed. she is just staring at everything without even blinking her eyes.

She is just staring at everything without even blinking. She can't believe her eyes. Her pack is the strongest in the werewolf's kingdom, and no one ever dares to go against them. She always thought that her pack is the safest place but after seeing this, she can't believe that anymore. 

Elena's eyes turned tears and her body shivered in fear as she can't do anything, seeing her family, the people she loves and cares about getting killed in front of her eyes. She never even thought in her wildest dream thought that her pack's ending could be this. 

Elena felt disappointed with herself as she can't get down and fight for her people and that's when she saw her brother, who is fighting with a werewolf, she can tell that her brother is not strong in front of the other werewolf and he is so hurt with all the cuts and blood on his body. She doesn't want to lose her brother so she started to run toward him, even though she doesn't know how to fight. Before she could reach there, her brother stubs the other werewolf in his stomach killing him.

Her legs stopped in fear and shock, with her wide open eyes. She has grown up in a protective environment and had never seen any of these, but when she saw her own brother, who she loved so much killed a person in front of her made fear as her heart stopped for a second. George turned and saw Elena, who is standing there, staring at him in fear.

He looked around and then moved closer to Elena as he whispers shouted at her in his angry and worried voice "what the hell are you doing here! come on, we have to go from here!".

"w... what? But brother... What about you? What about mom and dad?" she shattered, trying to look for her mom and dad in fear that something might happen to them but, George is worried about his sister, he knows they are going to lose and will die and he at least wanted to save his sister from them so, he grabbed her hand and told in a rush "don't talk about anything! just get inside this room and hide, never come out until and unless you didn't hear any sounds or I come to call you out!".
