DEPTHS

September

A valley of flowers, a serene tranquility the gentle caress of the wind, a safe haven, crashed and painted ash and with the stink of death still penetrating the air, a paradise of old ruins one could get lost in and also one could feel the sadness erring from the fair maiden.

Stripped off her crown she was now an outcast just like how she was from the beginning but now it was worst then before, she wasn't only stripped but broken as she gazed at her home.

She sat on the lust grass trying to fill her soul with its beautiful life and also trying hard not to break her dam again. It's been weeks since she let herself be consumed with grief, weeks she locked herself up. Now she had hope.

"My queen"

That deep baritone voice called her out of her thinking causing her to turn and regard him with her amber coloured eyes.

"There isn't any need to call me that anymore Davis, I don't deserve to be called that, am weak and no queen".

His frown was ever present on his face, he marched towards her sitting right beside her but not meeting her eyes.

"You are queen and will forever be my queen"

Silence was the answer between them.

"It's late my queen, you might catch a cold".

She glared playfully at him.

"Davis call me by my name, Ivory, say I-vory and It's a command".

He turned to her. His face blank but the reluctance was clear in his eyes.

"But Princess..."

"Would it kill you to call me my name and here I thought we were friends".

She pouted staring at him with watery eyes. His face never changed but his eyes softened.

"Ivory"

He whispered her name softly as though scared it might run away, it made Ivory smile brightly before frowning slightly.

"I don't think I've ever seen you smile, Davis"

Shocked by her comment, he turned his face facing else where knowing his cheeks were filled with colors.

"We have been together since we were little children and I don't think I've ever seen you smile or laugh"

"Am a Davister Warrior, Ivory , first commander, emotion means nothing to me".

He turned to face her slightly surprise by her frown.

"I want you to feel more comfortable with me Davis, smile more. I mean if not for me then my little one growing inside me".

Shock

For the first time ever Davis was rendered speechless. He cold demeanor broke, emotions flooded his face. It was like watching a flower blooming for the first time and for that Ivory was glad.

~~~~~~~~~~
Nine months later.
It rained heavily that night, thunder and lightening painted the sky. Davis fought along with Ivory. They had been found and it was at the worst time ever. Blood and clashes rain down with the thunder, breath and rainfall lullaby sang with the intent to be safe once again.
Ivory screams rang through the song, the sound caused by the discharge of atmospheric electrical charge frightening the sky to roar with outcry. Davis's head snapped fast to her, watched her enemy defeated and fallen. She had her hands around her stomach, her face was paled as she gazed at him under the stormy waterfalls.
"Davis, they are coming"
He trembled from the nerves that racked through him.
'They?, now? Oh sweet Hecate!!".
He panicked rushing her fast into a cabin putting on the fire and trying hard to keep her warm while she screamed through her contraction.
"Breathe, just breath Ivy",
Davis instructed, more to himself than the pregnant woman in his arms.
If this wasn't the worst timing he had ever had in his life than he would only wonder what would. They were still under attack and had no mean or way of getting to the next town to get a midwife to help, they were stuck and Davis felt so helpless.
They dragged each other inside the little cottage they had taken refuge in over the months. A lycan demon approached the cabin, one of Alovia's makings deadly and brutal approached him, he had to leave Ivory to kill the demon quickly before getting back to see her already laid herself in a hay of shaw.
"Davis??",
She cried his name stretching her hand for him to grasp.
"Davis? I'm sorry Davis, am so sorry".
"What are you sorry for Ivy, you are going to be alright".
He held back his tears. The storm outside and the banging of the cottage wasn't deaf to their ears, He was more than frightened.
"Davis, you must promise me, promise me you will look after my children as your own, promise me you won't let them have the same fate as mine, please Davis I need to be sure they will be safe and looked after".
A gentle kiss he laid on both her hands, his teary gray eyes gazed at. her lovingly as he muttered the word.
"I promise you Ivory"
She smiled, looking content and not at all scared. She settled more comfortably to the nest of hays. Her fingers dug sharply to the ground burying itself like seeds for growth.
Sharp thorns and steam grew quickly from where her hands were buried surrounding the cottage with its sharpness. Davis jolted back, he was even more surprised when he heard the cries of the demons, the cracking of bone and the voice that there was still hope left.
Ivory directed his attention to her screams once again. Her legs curved and widened, her labored breath heavened with sweat dripping down her like water.
Davis was quick to gather the water left in the little room and some cloths, it was all they had along with the knifes with them.
It didn't take long , but a mop of dark hair appeared in her vagina, Davis noticed and clumsily helped direct the child out. After numerous push the child was pushed out screaming its lungs out with its cries of a miracle, the lightening outside was strong followed by the thunder that shooked the cottage.
Davis cut its cord with his sword, bathing the child in the water and covering her with one of the blanket. He directed her to her mothers side smiling proudly.
"Look Ivy it's.... It's a girl".
She was weak when taking her child but Davis helped her.
She gazed into her beautiful daughter's face, her mop of dark brown hair that reminded her of her lost mate, her face was pretty and were like hers.
She let out a gasp when her daughter opened her eyes and stared at her, the tears were still falling as she watched her daughter calm down, making cooing noises. She had her eyes and for that she was proud.
"Beautiful, Strong, wonderful. Your name will be Melissa, Melissa Alejandra King, for your father has always treasured you before you ever existed, you shall be a queen amongst kings"
She observed her child then the mark that was on her right shoulder, the mark of a wolf head with its jaws wide opened. She gasps loudly again as a dream, a memory flooded her.
She opened her mouth to speak but the pain came again and Davis was quick to take the child from her dropping her near her mother as he ready for whatever was to happen.
She dug her nails more firmly to the ground, the whole place was filled with steam and the cottage groaned from the tight hold.
Another head appeared in her vagina, and Davis was quick to assist. Another scream filled the air flowing in accordance to the first crying babe making it one powerful scream. Davis once again cut the cord and washed the child, wrapping it in another cloth before handling it to the mother.
"Look Ivy, it's a boy, congratulation you have borne an heir"
She took the second child from him, watching him calm down along with his sister. She stared at his dark golden hair like hers and his perfect feature that reminded her of her mate. Tears dropped from her face and she felt another pain deep in her heart.
The child sensing his mother tears opened his eyes staring right at her. He had beautiful clear blue eyes exactly like his father.
She smiled.
"You shall be named Micage, Micage Alexander King, the bite after the roar, a keen leader, strong, brave and protective, you are meant to be a king amongst all Alphas and kings"
She searched his right shoulder for any mark but saw none but on his chest, his right breast side, the shape of a crescent moon. She knew then the prophecy was real and she felt more bitterness in her heart.
"Davis, they......"
Another pain rocked through her. Davis paled taking the child again who started crying along with his sister. He positioned himself ready for another child but was shocked the more when steams with leaves wrapped all over her body from her legs slowly upwards. A crashing sound outside draws his attention just as the life started draining from Ivory's skin turning it green.
"Please...... Protect them",
Her amber eyes which seemed to glow pleaded with him. He nodded taking the children protectively in his arms.
Somehow Ivory had given him enough strength to transport both him and the children away from there.
"I will avenge you, Ivory"
Those were his last words just as a crashing noise was heard and he locked gaze with the woman he was going to avenge with, before turning to a sprinkle of gray dust.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Davis found himself in Florida, at first he wondered why he was there before calming down with realization. He gazed lovingly at the two children wrapped together in a slang he had created over his shoulder.

They weren't identical but did remind him of the people he had just lost. He walked ahead following wherever his magic became stronger till he reached a small house in a quite neighborhood.

He stood at the passage not needing to knock just as the door opened and a petty woman with dark hair and dark blue eyes gasped at him almost falling backwards.

"Davis?"

She sounded extremely shocked and couldn't stop blinking her eyes multiple times.

"What are you doing here?",

She questioned before taking notice of how drenched and stained he was.

"I need your help Emily".

She paled even more when two identical cries yelled. And who was she not to listen to them.

****

"What are you going to do now, Davis"

The woman Emily asked for the hundredth time as she gave him his black coffee, his pain became hers as she felt both his grief and sorrow.

Drinking from the cup, Davis shake his head already making his decision.

He knew he couldn't raise the children on his own and he couldn't do that here, Alovia was sure to find him, but the children she wouldn't, most importantly he had to ensure the boy stay safe, he was the direct line to King Alejandro and was sure to be the next Alpha King by the mark on his chest, he didn't understand though why the girl had her own mark on her shoulder, but considered it as nothing since boys were the true heirs and linage.

"Emily, the boy Micage will stay with you".

"But what about Alovia won't she locate him?"

"She won't. That pendant on his neck was crafted from the Davister Olive tree, it should keep his true essence hidden and out of Alovia raider".

"But what about you and the girl?".

"We will head off until I can think of something"

"But Davis they could catch you and kill you"

"I made a promise to Ivory and I intend on keeping it"

She nodded, smiling as tears streamed down her face.

"And just like that you are leaving me once again, Davis"

He averted his gaze.

"Did you ever tell Queen Ivory about us?"

He nodded.

She laughed.

"And as always you still stay true to your duties and not your happiness...... Alright I'll do it"

He stared sadly at her, quite surprised she agreed to it.

"You would?"

She all but nodded cleaning the tears on her cheeks.

"It's the least I can do for Queen Ivory. Am so sorry for your lost"

He nodded suddenly not having the guts to leave but stay but he knew he couldn't if he wanted to keep his promise.

Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look which becomes a habit.

When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.

"I'll be back once it's safe"

He turned to leave stopping when she spoke again.

"What should I tell the young prince once he's of age?"

"Tell him nothing until it seems urgent"

He storms out the door just as he did years ago and now forever.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His breathing was discarded as he stared down at the little pair of Amber eyes staring up at him in confusion.
"Am sorry little princess but I don't think I will be able to care for you now".
His voice was raw, the tears and blood that fell from him was one of agony. He couldn't even stand properly or defense both him and the child.
He raised his head towards the heavens, cursing whoever was watching him for filling his life with pain and difficulty.
A rustle in the bush drew his attention back to reality just as he noticed the woman hidden behind it.
"Help!"
He yelled weakly, making up his mind before he could think otherwise.
"Help the child!!".
There were secrets he needed to uncover and new ways he needed to fulfill his promise.
There was so much secrets hidden he needed to discover and he could only do that knowing that the children were both safe and hidden. Surely he would avenge her and fulfill his promise but only with time.
"Please save this child"
