A debt to be paid

Maya and Eden had gone to town for dress shopping.

"I can't believe that I am going to be married soon and to Lucas nonetheless." Eden gushed as she tried on her clothes.

"Well believe it or not it's actually happening." Maya told her.

"Do you know that I thought Lucas would back out before the wedding?" Eden asked.

"come on you need to give him more credit than that. He already made you a promise and you know that he never breaks his promises ever."

"I know, I was just feeling insecure I guess."

"Well you need to be more confident about yourself, you are the future Luna of the pack." Maya told her.

"Maya I am nervous about something."

"What are you nervous about?" Maya asked.

"On our wedding night, do you think Lucas would request for......." she trailed off unsure of how to finish.

Maya burst out laughing. "You are very cute, do you know that? If you aren't ready, just tell him and he won't pressure you into anything."

"Are you sure?"

"I am perfectly sure, Lucas is an absolute gentleman."

"Thanks Maya, you always know how to make me feel better."

"You are welcome now come on let's go back to the pack."

They paid for their dresses and left the store. They went outside and they saw Lucas waiting for them.

"Lucas, what are you doing here?" Eden asked.

"I came to take you home." he answered.

"And what about me?" Maya asked.

"You can go home with the driver." Lucas told her.

"Come on Lucas, she can come with us." Eden pleaded.

"Nope, I am just taking you home, I have something to discuss with you." Lucas told her as he took the shopping bags from her. He put the bags in the back seat and opened the car door for her.

"Bye Maya, see you later." Eden told Maya as she got into the car.

"See you around Maya" Lucas told her as he entered into the car and drive off.

Maya angrily entered the car that they came in and went back to her home. Immediately she entered the house, she slammed the door shut and flung the shopping bags at the wall.

"Maya what is the problem?" her mother asked.

"It's that little witch Eden, I don't know how long I can stand her mother and I don't know how much longer I can take her relationship with Lucas anymore."

"calm down my dear, you know our plan, once Lucas becomes Alpha, you will try to embarrass her in front of the pack and then make the people love you and prefer you as their Luna and then you kill her and after some months of mourning, you and Lucas get married and you become the Luna, for our plan to work, you have to be patient my dear."

"I am trying to be patient mother but it's so fucking hard, I hate seeing her with my man." Maya fumed.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine soon." her mother consoled her.

Lucas parked the car by the road.

"We aren't going home?" Eden asked.

"No we aren't, not yet anyway. I wanted to talk to you about something." Lucas said.

"What is it?" she asked.

"Well, our wedding is in two days time and in the ceremony we would be asked to kiss, I wanted to know if I had your consent to do that."

Eden blushed and looked down. "Eden?"

"Uhmm sure, we can kiss each other." she said without looking up.

"Can we practice first? So it doesn't look awkward when we do it that day."

"You want to practice?"

"Yes, if you don't want to, it's okay."

"No,it's okay." Eden said.

"I am going to kiss you now." Lucas told her as he leaned over from his seat.

Eden's heart beat very fast as he approached her, she couldn't believe that this was happening, she was finally getting to kiss her crush.

Lucas kissed her gently at first, when she relaxed, he deepened the kiss.

Eden grabbed his head and pulled him even closer. At last, they broke the kiss, they looked at each other, their face flushed with excitement.

"That was nice" Eden said.

"I agree, it was totally nice. Should we head back now?" Lucas asked.

"Yes we should." Eden replied.

The both of them drove back to the pack and Lucas dropped her off at her home.

Eden entered the house looking very happy, she saw that Odi was waiting for her.

"Hello Eden, you seem very happy." he told her.

"Of course I am happy uncle, I am getting married soon."

"i am glad everything is going well for you, but I wanted to talk to you about something." Odi said in a serious tone.

Eden sat on the couch, "What is it uncle?"

"You know that you are the only child of your parents right?"

"Yes uncle." Eden wondered where he was going with this.

"Before you were conceived, it took a lot of time and your parents had lost hope that they would ever have a child of their own. But your mother went to meet someone for help."

"Who?" Eden asked.

"She met a werewolf king"

"What!"

"The werewolf king had his best witches make use of powers and made her conceive a child, which is you."

"Why are you telling me this now?"

"Because this help didn't come for free, the werewolf king requested something from her before he helped."

"What did he ask for?"

"He asked her to promise him that the child would be his mate when she was old enough."

"Mate?"

"yes, mate. Your mother was very desperate to have a child so she agreed, it was when she was dying that she confessed everything to us."

"So has the old man come to ask for me?" Eden asked praying his answer was positive

"No, for all I know, he could have forgotten that he ever said such a thing but I want you to be careful, okay?"

"Yes uncle." Eden replied.
