Leo knew he had actually caught his attention on this one, and he couldn't help but feel good about it and he burst out laughing, much to Alpha Light's discomfort.

He looked at him, his glare saying he still needed to know the truth. But that didn't budge Leo, for he continued laughing.

Rain had not actually told him any of his secrets because it wasn't necessary considering he knew how to deal with Light. He also didn't think that a rogue would know so much and now he regretted his neglect for it could have been something if he knew what secret made Light so tense.

But he wasn't going to let him know that he had been playing on him, it wasn't ever going to happen.

Bob tried calling him and he listened to him through their mind link, he was mad that he was leading Light on without any much back up plan.

It was a mistake on his path!

He had shouted at him, and he blocked him from messaging him. Then he turned to him and gave him a glare.

It was one of the rare times that he ever shouted, he didn't like it one bit getting disrespected not even if they were close.

He turned back to Light, his full attention to him. His shoulder slumped, and his breathing heavy. He was trying to cool off, but wasn't really doing a good job at it.

"Are you not going to tell me what that fool told you about me?" Light shrieked, his fists folding at his sides with gritted teeth.

But Leo stood still, enjoying the scenario before him. By then his pack members had gathered around the room, sort of guarding him, and he knew it had been Bob who sent for them.

In as much as he appreciated their loyalty, but he didn't think it was worth the trouble causing them all to leave their tasks. Light was in his territory and he knew he wouldn't attack him, he wasn't a fool not to follow the pack rules.

He just couldn't trespass and attack, it was against the rules.

And even if he tried, he knew that Light was aware that it was a futile battle, for his men were in larger numbers than his.

Just then, Jack barged in and bowed immediately to him. His face was furrowed and his breathing uneven as he tried to regain his composure.

Bob then moved forward, as though he wanted to warn him off for butting in, but Leo held his hand and he remained rooted to his position.

He turned back to Jack, who was having a hard time catching his breath and he grew more impatient by the minute.

"Speak." Leo commanded, his voice high and challenging. Everyone knew that he was about to pound on Jack if he delayed even for a minute more.

"Alpha Theo, he attacked our pack in Dublin. We were completely off guard and didn't know how to fight back and they easily overpowered us." Jack answered, as he dragged every word out.

Everywhere went silent for a moment before Light started to laugh, and everyone thought it was his own spotlight on the stage, everyone except for Jack.

Jack looked at him confused, he hadn't expected that from him, from a man who was best friends with his Alpha. Then he glanced back to Leo, whose face was totally blank.

"It seems like I am not your only enemy. You sure must have tons of them Leo." Light commented, chuckling at his own words.

"Enemy?" Jack said, his mouth dropping low.

"Shut up!" Both Leo and Bob said at a time, and he did so.

"Are you sure it was really Alpha Theo who attacked us?" Leo said, directing the question at Jack.

"Yes, I do." His reply was low and still heard an edge to it.

"But you should have told me about this at the time of the attack." Leo complained in a wary voice.

"Was any killed? Any injuries?" He questioned Jack.

"No one was killed Alpha, but all three were wounded, except for Ryan who has only a slight cut on his left arm." Jack explained.

"Have the pack doctor examine them fast." Leo said in a worried tone.

"I already have." Said Jack.

"How are you going to tackle this Leo? Two Alpha's on your neck isn't actually a good thing." Light said mockingly, a slight humor appearing in his eyes.

Leo completely ignored him and continued interrogating Jack. He knew better than to reply to Light, he knew he was trying to divert him from himself.

That wasn't going to happen.

Not now he knew what was up his sleeves.

"Bob." He called, and Bob answered with a nod. "You take care of everything concerning Alpha Theo, while I handle Light. Okay?"

Light growled loudly.

"Yes, Alpha."

"I thought you were going to take care of him? Who do you trust most between him and I?" Light said, looking hard at Leo.

Leo sighed, "I trust Alpha Theo more than I trust you. I have known you since childhood and yet you dared to backstab me. Oh God!".

Light rolled his eyes and a smirk appeared on his face.

"I wouldn't call this backstabbing though. Anyways, the mindset is all yours. Think anything you can." Light snickered.

"I'm done having this conversation. But." Leo said, his index finger pointing at Light.

"What?" Light questioned, cocking an eyebrow at him.

"You haven't said what you came here for, so now I'm going to ask you." Leo stated.

Light kept silent for a while before he looked at him squarely.

"I came to talk to you about giving up your title and taking over your pack house."

Leo growled, his wolf urging to come out. He could even feel his nails elongating but he didn't want him out.

Bob and Jack startled and they glared at Light before looking back at their master.

"Should we take care of him for you?" Bob said his expression was hard and directed at Light.

"You can try." Light laughed, and he looked around at his pack members. They were alert, and ready to fight.

"No, don't." His eyes on Light while he spoke to Bob. "I'm giving you a chance to walk out here alive. So leave my territory!"

"Don't use that tone of voice on me, I'm not beneath you."

"You are in my territory, so leave." Leo turned to leave, his wolf still trying to surface. Bob and Jack with some few men stayed behind to escort Light back while the rest followed him.

••~••

I glared at him while waiting for an answer. His eyes were teasing me and I did not like it.

"Nothing." He said, his hands going up. He still had that funny look and I rolled my eyes.

"Really?" I questioned, which made him smile.

"What's your name?" He said instead, his tone serious.

I didn't know whether or not to give him my name.

"Maria." I lied. I wouldn't risk anyone trying to find more about me. It just wasn't going to happen.

"I'm Maxwell. Nice meeting you?" He said, putting his hand out for a shake.

I took it and he covered his right hand around my slender one and squeezed it a little. I wriggled my hand out of his when I saw he didn't want to let go.

"So, where do you live and do you live alone?" He said, folding his hands together.

"I don't live alone, and knowing where I live is such a bad idea considering we just met." I told him, rolling my eyes at him.

He chuckled at that, "Hmmm, I'm not planning on harming you."

"You wouldn't dare." I said, carrying the things I bought and headed towards the road.

"Gosh." I heard him say, and I smiled.

We walked out of the gate and stood in front of the mall. I was hoping to see a taxi pass so I could enter, and I declined his offer for a free ride.

"It's just a ride please. It wouldn't hurt you if you enter. I'm practically saving you from standing out here till God knows when waiting for a taxi." He sucked, and he was bent on having me ride with him.

I didn't want to go, especially the fact I was here for a mission. Nothing was to distract me from what I had come this far to do, so I wasn't going to risk it.

"It's still a no." I said flatly, my tone conveying I didn't want to discuss it any further.

He was going to say something when a taxi packed in front of us. I waved at the driver before walking towards the vehicle. He opened the door and I put my things on the seat.

I turned back to Maxwell, and I couldn't help but feel bad by the look in his eyes. I waved at him before entering the taxi, and shut the door.

Maybe he was attracted to me, but wouldn't know it was a bad idea. Even though I wasn't a werewolf, I still had their blood running through me.

I leaned back on the seat as the driver started towards the road.

••~••

I was having my dinner when Mom called, she sounded worried and I didn't know why. Dad had not been home since morning and she was panicking.

I tried to reason with her, explaining to her why he wasn't at home. Of the possibility he was hooked up with some work.

"Why are you taking his side?" She sobbed, and my heart fell. She was and I wasn't there to support her.

"I'm not taking anyone's side. You are worried that he's not yet back and I'm only trying to explain that he may be busy. It's unlike Dad to stay out late." I explained, but Mom wouldn't listen.

"If he was caught up with something, he should have at least called." Mom cried, and I knew it was true but didn't dare to agree with her.

"Where is Maria?" I said, trying to change the topic. Maria was a less dangerous road to follow.

"She's doing her assignments. So I didn't want to bother her with it." She explained, her voice too husky.

"What's the time over there?" I wanted to know, it was still early here and she was already worked up.

"It's twenty minutes past 2." She replied.

"It's still early, Mom. Or is there anything you are not telling me?" I said, and I heard her sigh.

I spooned the egg into my mouth, which had turned cold out of talking to Mom. My tea had turned cold too, it was the only thing I could have as dinner since I was super tired. And any real food would be by morning.

"We had a fight." She sobbed, and I allowed her. I had just left America and they were fighting already. What the fuck!

"It was about you. I told him that I didn't like the fact that you are there, that he should stop thinking of having revenge and bring you back home." She continued, and I felt the tears washing down her face.

I sighed.

"But you know how he feels about this Mom. Dad wants revenge and he wouldn't be happy until he has had it. And I'm just too close to going back home. Let me do this for Dad mom." I said, as I tried to reason with her.

"I know, but I am still allowed to be worried. Aren't I?"

"No one said you shouldn't be Mom." I said softly, my heart feeling for her. A part of me still wanted to stay here, I wanted to know how pack life was, and get revenge for Dad.

"Oh, okay. I guess I better hang up now." She quickly said, and I knew she was still sad. But I couldn't help it, she just had to understand. Besides, we discussed this before I left.

"Call me when he comes home. Okay?" I said before she hung up on me. "Tell Maria I asked of her."

"Okay, I will."

After a pleasurable sex with Anne, Leo left her to catch a nap and he kissed her on her cheek before leaving. He stood before the gate of the dungeon, heaving some good amount of breaths in and out, before he finally unlocked the entrance and made his way to where his ex best friend and presently worst enemy laid. The dungeon looked crappy and worn out with a bad stench that could make the pit of a human stomach recoil in irritation, thereby causing a tornado of vomit. There leaning against a dirty wall is Alpha Light who raised his head immediately he heard someone get in. His face tipped into a frown as he stared haughtily at Leo who seemed to have a face that read, 'I can't wait to feed your intestines to the birds'. The two Alpha's stared at each other silently, as if they couldn't bear to stay in each other's presence. Leo started to walk close to him and Alpha Light didn't let his guard down as he watched his every movement. "Ttf, I have hundred things roaming in my mind rig

"What's up with you Jack? Your face is suddenly sullen." I inquired, my face pinched into a frown as I took in his mood. We are at the shopping mall, making true the lie I told earlier to the elders, more also because it was an opportunity for me to shop for classic clothes since I didn't come with any. Jack looked away. "It's nothing serious, Luna Anne. So just focus on your task please.""Do not talk to me in that tone of voice again Jack! What's wrong with you?" I fired, my hands gripping hard on the dress in my hands and I looked him with my head raised high. "Why have you not been opening up to me again? Is there something you are not telling me?"He shook his head. "No, nothing's wrong Luna. Everything's perfectly fine, and about my mood, I have mood swings.""It's fine then, if you are not going to tell me what the problem is but at least will you let me on the updates about the pack house? Where are they other concubines of the Alpha? I have only met two of them and I have be

"Nah, I do not have to prove that." Suddenly he barged in, and all went silent. I let out a soft oh as I stared at all the nine men who watched me in shock.I purposely did not want to look at Leo and I stared at everyone else except him. Fuck! I shouldn't have stood here like a statue, just staring like an unmoving object. Well since I caused this, I better fixed it back. "Hi, everyone. Jack and I were just leaving for the town, we have lots of things to purchase." I declared, then flashed them a smile. If there was anyone good in acting, it was me. I could convince you that I am a princess in distress whereas I was the offender."You see, that's her. I wasn't lying all these while when I said Alpha Leo here has found his mate." Alpha Light declared happily, and I creased my forehead into a frown. I pretended he was wrong about his statement. "Hold on, i guess there's a misunderstanding here." I began, then turned to look at Leo for the first time since they walked in. "My name is

I went still, what did he just say! How did I even think that I could outsmart Dad? Rogues were known to play smart, just how did I not think of it? And Dad is heartless, so after everything I have done so far for him he still recorded our conversations! Doesn't he know that if something like that leaked out that I will be doomed? "Dad, no, do not tell me y-o-u," I stuttered on the last word, then became silent as I listened to the conversation in his end. Mom was going hyper, she could not believe he could actually threaten me with that. After all risking my life to come here for his own selfish reasons, he still could do this to his own daughter. "Shut your dirty mouth up, Anne. It's been more than a month now since you went to Ireland, and yet, you have not succeeded in the simple task I gave to you. I wish more than anything you were given a wolf and your sister none, yes, she is not this slow witted as you are right now. Back here you used to play the intelligent one but it's

As if on cue, Leo and I separated immediately and I stared into his eyes. He was trying hard not to panic and I placed my hands on his chest. "Relax, okay? It's going to be alright." "He will be out in a short while, you may leave now." I ordered Jack, then grabbed Leo's boxers and placed it in his hands. He gave me a smile. "Thank you," I nodded my head then placed a soft kiss on his head before getting up from the bed. I too worn my clothes, straightened back my tattered hair and waited for Leo by the door. When he got dressed and ready to go downstairs, I hooked my hands in his as we stepped through the door. We met Jack standing by the door that led to the kitchen, his back to us and he seemed he was to be eavesdropping on some conversations."Jack." Leo called, and he spun towards us. He looked guilty and he immediately lowered his head. "Where are they elders?""They are talking in the compound, I heard Alpha Light mention something about taking the life of Her Luna. Most of

"It's high time I proved you wrong. Time to show you that I am very much romantic."After I said those words I sat down on him, my two legs stretching against his thighs then I grabbed his head in my hands and softly placed a soft kiss on his nose. I started to kiss him hard now that it seemed like we had been playing earlier. I tilt my head to one side, and puckered his lips with mine enjoying the velvety of them. Then my hands flattened against his chest and I played even his hands. Slowly I moved away to give we both time to catch our breath, then I flashed him a smile before kissing him back.It seemed like Leo was surprised by my sudden hunger because he digged his fingers into my anus but said nothing. That increased the throb between my legs because his silence heightened to my desire. Causing me to want him more and more.I broke contacts with him and he slowly whimpered causing a smile to rise to my lips. But I wasn't going to end the kiss, instead of answering his silent q
