-First Person's Perspective -

Enise’s POV

I arrived at Lucas’s home, the familiar gates opening as I pulled up in my car. My mind was still racing from everything that had happened. The fight, the men, how Lucian had come to my aid. He made sure to follow me down here, so that I don't get attacked again. His car was behind me in a safe distance. He had promised to watch me enter into the house before he would leave. I thought it was dangerous, Lucas might smell him and stuff but he didn't care. He said my safety was his number one priority

As I stepped out of the car, I saw Lucas standing on the porch. He was pacing, his hands running through his hair in that way he always did when he was anxious. When he spotted me, his face instantly softened, but there was an edge of worry that didn’t escape my notice.

“Denise!” He rushed over to me, his voice frantic. “What happened? Why did you call me? What’s going on? I tried to call you back countless of times but your number wasn't going thr

First Person’s Perspective – Lucas’s POVI sat at my desk in the dimly lit study, the soft glow of the lamp casting shadows across the papers sprawled before me. These weren’t ordinary documents; they were plans to convene the Elder Council to determine Laura’s punishment. She had crossed too many lines, and her latest stunt had only solidified her place as a threat. The sound of my pen scratching against paper was interrupted by a sharp knock at the door. I frowned. No one dared disturb me when I was in my study unless it was urgent.“Come in,” I said curtly, expecting one of my guards. The door creaked open, and to my surprise, Laura stepped inside, her confident stride and smug expression immediately putting me on edge.“What the hell are you doing here?” I demanded, rising from my chair. My tone was sharp, bordering on furious. “Who disobeyed my orders and let you out?”She chuckled softly, the sound grating against my nerves. “Oh, Lucas, still trying to control everything, aren’t

First Person's Perspective – Laura's POVThe moment Lucas stormed out of my quarters after accusing me of something so vile, I was left standing there, my hands trembling and my chest heaving with anger. I couldn’t believe his audacity. How dare he accuse me of attempting to kill Enise? Me? Did he even know who I was? Did he really think that I would have missed, should it have been me? *Scoffs*“This is an insult,” I muttered under my breath, pacing the room like a caged animal. The confrontation had left a bitter taste in my mouth, and the weight of betrayal pressed heavily on my chest. Lucas was supposed to have my back, but instead, he was treating me like I was some common criminal. I might have spiked her drink, but that's not enough reason for him to accuse me like this. What if Miracle hears of this. She definitely wouldn't love me as much I grabbed my phone off the table, my fingers shaking as I scrolled through my contacts. There was only one person I could call now—Marcus.

Third Person's PerspectiveThe woman paced back and forth in her lavishly decorated bedroom, her fists clenched tightly at her sides. Her mind raced, her thoughts a chaotic swirl of rage and disbelief. She had just received the news—a report that all her men, the ones she had sent after Enise, had been burned to death. Every single one of them.“How could this happen?” she hissed, her voice trembling with anger. She picked up a vase from the table and hurled it across the room. It shattered into a thousand pieces, a reflection of the storm brewing inside her.The message was clear: whoever had intervened was not to be trifled with. But that only fueled her fury.Unable to contain her emotions any longer, she stormed out of her room, making her way to meet her boss. He was the only one who could possibly understand the gravity of what had just transpired—or so she hoped. She found him in his private study, seated behind a massive mahogany desk. His expression was as cold and unyielding

-First Person's Perspective -Enise’s POVI held my breath, the vibrations of my phone sending a jolt of panic through my body. My first instinct was to ignore it, but something urged me to check. Slowly, I pulled it out from my pocket, making sure not to make a sound. It was Lucian calling. I hesitated for a moment, wondering if answering was a good idea with the men still searching for me, but I quickly swiped the screen and brought the phone to my ear."Lucian, it's me," I whispered, trying to keep my voice low."Enise?" His voice crackled through the line, weak and distorted. "Where are you? Are you safe?""I—" I stopped myself. The line was so bad I wasn’t sure if he could hear me. I shifted in my hiding place, pressing myself into the corner, hoping that the shadows would keep me concealed for just a little while longer. "Lucian, I—" The static drowned out my voice, making it impossible for him to understand.Frustrated, I sighed, leaning my head back against the wall. I had no

  • Alpha Lucas’’s second chance    Chapter 111

-First Person's Perspective Enise's POVI press my back hard against the rough stone wall, praying that the men won't find me. I hear them getting closer, their footsteps echoing through the narrow alley. There are more of them than I expected -way more. I thought I could take five, maybe six, but now I know there are at least ten. A sinking feeling grows in my stomach as I realize that I've made a huge mistake. My decision to face them head-on rather than running-it's a bad one.I can't let them catch me, but there's nowhere to hide. My only option now is to fight. I look around, quickly scanning the area for something I can use as a weapon. I grip the small knife in my hand, my fingers tightening around the handle. I need to be fast. I need to be smart. The first man rounds the corner, and I don't hesitate. I dart forward, slashing at him with the knife. The blade catches him in the chest, and he stumbles back, shouting. But he's not down yet. He roars and lungesat me, and that's
