Camilla POV…

After I entered the office, I heaved a huge sigh of relief. I did not imagine that things will end up this way but I was glad that it was over.

I looked at the huge office and the huge desk in front of me, not knowing what to do. I don’t know if I pushed Lenox and his family to the wall, but I did not feel any regrets.

As I was still thinking, my phone rang. Looking at the caller id, my eyes turned gentle and all the unpleasant things in my mind vanished.

“Darling…” I called out softly.

“CEO West, how is your first day at work? Did any one cause any trouble?” Lucien asked over the phone in his low voice.

“Just some little mishap but it is all good now!”

“That is good!”

“And you, how is your first day as mayor?” I inquired.

“Nothing much. Just going through some old files!”
