CHAPTER 85

THE ONLY WAY

After leaving Haven behind earlier, Lucious had gone back to his room. His head ached badly and all he needed was a shower. Turning on the shower, Lucious stood beneath and allowed the cold water cool down his hot head.

The pain in his heart came again, making him grimace and clutch his chest. The pain had been going on for sometime now, ever since the rejection and it got worse with time. Lucious clenched his jaw tight feeling his knees go completely weak. It didn’t matter how hard he tried to fight it, he was eventually brought down to his knees.

[ How long do you plan to keep up with this? How long are you going to keep fighting it?] He heard Daryl ask amidst his small grunts. [ The rejection is destroying us bit by bit and you know it yet you still did all of that to her?]

“ I didn’t have a choice!” Lucious spat out, water running down his skin. “ It's not like I had any choice and you know it. They.. they'll keep coming after her just to get to me and you know Daryl
