Mag-log inLukas:
I stared at the woman whose body quivered beneath me, feeling a certain warmth in my chest. One I didn't want to feel. “This will hurt” I whispered, my lips grazing the shell of her ear. Fuck! She smelled so good. I sinked my teeth into her neck, while increasing the speed of my thrusts. I turned her over, plunging deeper till she reached climax the second time. I could feel mine building up. I let out a deep groan of pleasure as I released my seeds deep inside her. Her body went limp and she struggled to keep her eyes open. I slung her over my shoulders and carried her to the bathroom as she muttered a string of jargons in my ear. Did she just sleep talk? My lips curled up slightly. What did I just do? The smile on my lips vanished. I had given Rina my word that I would have nothing to do with this woman. I only needed her to lift my curse. That was the only reason I agreed to this marriage. Seventeen years ago, on my eighth birthday, I had suddenly felt hot. What started as a mild discomfort escalated into a sharp burning sensation. It felt as if I was being burnt alive. Right before my eyes, the mark on my arm began to form, tearing into my skin, oozing smoke as it took shape. I had lost consciousness and when I woke up, the pack's seer confirmed it was a curse. I had been cursed. The reason? No one knew. Every year on a certain day, I would feel that same gut-wrenching pain and that day drew near. My birthday. The only people who knew that I was cursed were my parents, the seer and Micheal. My beta and best friend. Recently, upon my return to the pack, my father consulted the pack's seer who had told him that Mia, the daughter of Night shade pack's Alpha was the key to lifting my curse and making her my Luna and mating with her was the first step. I could not lose sight of my goal. I placed her on the bed and changed into my sweatshirt and pants, picked up my car key and walked out. I drove to Rina's house. Rina was my girlfriend. She was sweet, gentle, and kind. I was immediately drawn to her the moment I saw her. She had never once gotten mad, even when I informed her of my marriage to Mia. We had been together since we were in college and had promised to be chosen mates. However, Mia's appearance had complicated things. Of course, I knew my mate would appear eventually, I just didn't think I would be forced to marry her. I pulled up at Rina’s and rang the doorbell. She flew into my open arms, wrapping herself around me like a koala. She planted a wet kiss on my lips. “I didn't think you were still going to make it” she said. I sat on a sofa as she straddled me, refusing to let go. “I would not miss seeing you for anything” she giggled shyly but it slowly faded. “What?” “Does your wife know you are here?” “No and it's none of her concern. The marriage is just a formality. We're just like strangers” Her smile returned at my reassurance. I didn't tell her Mia was my mate as it was only going to make her more insecure. She kissed me and tried to take off my clothes but I stopped her and pulled her away softly. “Not tonight, Rina” I said affectionately. Her eyes clouded with tears and her voice shook. “You have never refused me. What changed?” She was right. I always looked forward to intimate moments with her. One passionate kiss from her usually had blood running where I wanted it to go. But tonight was…..different. I didn't feel a thing. “Is this because of your wife? Don't you love me anymore?” A small part of me was irritated with her unending whining. “I still love you” “Then why did you agree to marry her” “It's what the elders council wanted. You know I can't go against them, especially when I just became Alpha” Rina pouted, still not convinced. I sighed and cupped her face in my palm. “My marriage to Mia won't change anything between us. Just be patient. Everything will return to its original place soon” I wiped the tears that trickled down her cheek. “I'm tired. I need to sleep now” I stood up and headed to the room, pretending not to hear her sniffle behind me. Very early the next morning, a call from Michael woke me up. We had trained together since we were kids and he knew me better than anyone. Even my parents. His father retired early so he had taken over the beta position earlier than I had. I picked the call. “Hey man. I hate to call you on your honeymoon but this is important” His tone sounded serious and the constant whoosh of the wind signified he was out in the forest. “What is it?” I asked my expression grim. “The rogues…..they attacked again” Months ago, I received reports of rogues attacking pack members. As countermeasures, I had deployed several warriors to fight them but they kept coming. It was getting out of hand. “They have gotten more brazen. The injuries they inflicted are more fatal this time. I think you need to come” “Where are you?” I dashed out of the room. “Where are you going?” Rina asked, standing up “Something urgent came up” I said, without stopping. The rest of her words were blocked out as I slammed the door shut. I arrived at the forest, and approached Michael while other warriors searched the area. I could see signs of blood on the floor coupled with paw prints imprinted in the soil. “Six pack members were injured and their valuables stolen. They have been taken to the hospital?” “The rogues?” “We’re still looking for them” Michael said. “Any luck?” “No, but they are still around” I sighed in frustration. “How come your men can't handle a bunch of rogues? Is this the best they can do? They are becoming completely useless. From now on, Intensify their training. I'll train them personally. Also, Inform everyone, all pack member should keep their doors locked. They must not open to anyone. It's very dangerous outside” “Alright” “Keep looking and extend your search” I ordered. I was about to join in when I caught a scent I could not forget so easily. Mia.Mia:“We can't help you,” Freya said decisively, without hesitation. She straightened her back, her eyes on me across the table.“What? Why? You didn't even think about it”“There's nothing to think about. It's our rule. We don't get involved in werewolves’ battles”I pressed my lips into a thin line. “That's it? That's your answer?”Her gaze softened. “Werewolves hate us, you know that. Why should we fight for them?”“My husband doesn't”Freya scoffed. “Really? Is that why he sentenced you to death?”Silence fell into the room. I swallowed the lump that was beginning to form in my throat.“I'm sorry, high priestess. I should not have said that”I exhaled sharply.“When you chose me as your high priestess, you swore an oath of allegiance to me”“Like I said, it's the rule. We can't get involved”“Don't you understand? The dark sisters are on the enemy's side”“We don't consider them one of us anymore They can do whatever they want”I stood up. “Fine. I'll do this myself” Her head s
Kate: I paced back and forth in Lukas' study, biting my lips. Several days had passed since Micheal left and I couldn't shake off the bad feeling. “Kate, he called me yesterday, he's fine,” Lukas said, his voice calm and measured. “Why hasn't he called today?” Before Lukas could answer, his phone buzzed on the desk, Michael's name flashed on the screen. He took the call and instantly his expression darkened, his jaw ticked and his fingers gripped the phone tightly. “.... I swear, Theo, if you so much as touch the hair on his head ....” My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach and I sank into the chair. Michael had been caught. The moment the line went dead, Lukas shot up and stormed to the door. I ran to block the door, spreading my arms wide. “Where do you think you're going?” “Out of my way. I'm going to save Micheal” “How on earth are you going to do that? Alpha Theo knows this is exactly what you would do. He's probably waiting to blow your head off the moment
Kate:I was about to step out of my apartment when I froze. Standing before me was Eleanor, a wild look in her eyes.“What are you doing here? How did you find this place?” I ask, within masking the irritation in my voice..“I want to see Mia” her usual graceful self was gone. She looked like a madwoman. Her hair was a tangled mess and mascara smudged down her cheeks. “No,” I said firmly. “You can't see her. Now leave”She took a step towards me and I caught a whiff of alcohol. She reeked of it. “Goddess, Eleanor. Have you been drinking?” That explained the disheveled look but not the sinister energy radiating off her. “I WANT MIA!” She yelled in my face, her voice sharp. I blocked her path. “And I said no. Leave while I'm being nice”But she wasn't listening, she pushed me out of the way and staggering in. The commotion must have caught Mia's attention. She came out of her room with Amber crying loudly in her arms. “What is going…….”The moment Eleanor saw her, a sadistic smile
Mia: The coven was a huge estate behind a towering iron gate covered in vines. As I walked up the stone path, I caught sight of young witches sprawled across the play, practicing their magic. Some twisted streams of water from the fountain into dancing figures. Others practiced from the lawn. Planting bloomed unnaturally from the ground. The air was filled with the fragrance of magic. Freya urged me on. We walked through the door into a vast hall. In the middle was a circle lined with candles and surrounded by several high ranking witches in red cloaks. Each pair of eyes turned towards me as I entered. I stepped inside the circle and was handed a ceremonial staff covered in glowing runes. “This symbolizes your guidance and authority” They began a chant that seemed to vibrate in my bones. One after the other, they placed their hand on the staff. Energy surged through me and several images flashed behind my eyes. The past high priestesses, coven gatherings, rituals….. eve
Mia: I stirred when I heard a whimpering sound followed by soft shushing. I tried to pry my eyes open staring at the ceiling of the brightly lit room. I sat up but it only worsened the throbbing pain in my head. This caught Kate's attention. “Goddess! You're awake” Kate whispered, sitting by my bed with Cedric's in her arms. “You've been asleep since yesterday” I looked around. “Where the hell am I and why are you whispering” “The pack house” I whipped my head sharply. “What?” “I’m sure you already have the answer to your second question. No one can find you here, hence, the whispering” “How did I get here?” “Micheal found you passed out at the secret entrance with your twin pups.” She narrowed her eyes. She stopped whispering but her voice remained lowered. “I've got a lot of questions to ask you but I won't because right now, you need more rest” There was a minute of silence between us. “Actually, I'm going to ask you right now. What the hell were you thinki
Mia:“You should have seen Lukas' face when I told him I met Nathan. He looked like he wanted to strangle me” I said to Kate who was half listening as she gently rocked whimpering Cedric.“I think he's right. You can't just take Nathan's word for it. He could be lying”“What if he's not?”Kate finally looked up at me. “Lying or not, stay away from him. What's your deal with this guy anyway?”I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and released a deep sigh.“I feel guilty”Kate scoffed. “About what?”“Nathan's life was destroyed when his company collapse and it was all Lukas' doing. I think he also has a hand in his restaurant's fire. I feel like I owe him”Kate raised a brow, incredulous. “Owe him? Grant group collapsed because they deserved it. They ran several illegal organizations I can't begin to mention. I know Lukas can be a dick sometimes, but he wouldn't stoop so low as to burn his restaurant down”Little Cedric closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.Kate let out a relieved
