INICIAR SESIÓNLukas:
I stared at the woman whose body quivered beneath me, feeling a certain warmth in my chest. One I didn't want to feel. “This will hurt” I whispered, my lips grazing the shell of her ear. Fuck! She smelled so good. I sinked my teeth into her neck, while increasing the speed of my thrusts. I turned her over, plunging deeper till she reached climax the second time. I could feel mine building up. I let out a deep groan of pleasure as I released my seeds deep inside her. Her body went limp and she struggled to keep her eyes open. I slung her over my shoulders and carried her to the bathroom as she muttered a string of jargons in my ear. Did she just sleep talk? My lips curled up slightly. What did I just do? The smile on my lips vanished. I had given Rina my word that I would have nothing to do with this woman. I only needed her to lift my curse. That was the only reason I agreed to this marriage. Seventeen years ago, on my eighth birthday, I had suddenly felt hot. What started as a mild discomfort escalated into a sharp burning sensation. It felt as if I was being burnt alive. Right before my eyes, the mark on my arm began to form, tearing into my skin, oozing smoke as it took shape. I had lost consciousness and when I woke up, the pack's seer confirmed it was a curse. I had been cursed. The reason? No one knew. Every year on a certain day, I would feel that same gut-wrenching pain and that day drew near. My birthday. The only people who knew that I was cursed were my parents, the seer and Micheal. My beta and best friend. Recently, upon my return to the pack, my father consulted the pack's seer who had told him that Mia, the daughter of Night shade pack's Alpha was the key to lifting my curse and making her my Luna and mating with her was the first step. I could not lose sight of my goal. I placed her on the bed and changed into my sweatshirt and pants, picked up my car key and walked out. I drove to Rina's house. Rina was my girlfriend. She was sweet, gentle, and kind. I was immediately drawn to her the moment I saw her. She had never once gotten mad, even when I informed her of my marriage to Mia. We had been together since we were in college and had promised to be chosen mates. However, Mia's appearance had complicated things. Of course, I knew my mate would appear eventually, I just didn't think I would be forced to marry her. I pulled up at Rina’s and rang the doorbell. She flew into my open arms, wrapping herself around me like a koala. She planted a wet kiss on my lips. “I didn't think you were still going to make it” she said. I sat on a sofa as she straddled me, refusing to let go. “I would not miss seeing you for anything” she giggled shyly but it slowly faded. “What?” “Does your wife know you are here?” “No and it's none of her concern. The marriage is just a formality. We're just like strangers” Her smile returned at my reassurance. I didn't tell her Mia was my mate as it was only going to make her more insecure. She kissed me and tried to take off my clothes but I stopped her and pulled her away softly. “Not tonight, Rina” I said affectionately. Her eyes clouded with tears and her voice shook. “You have never refused me. What changed?” She was right. I always looked forward to intimate moments with her. One passionate kiss from her usually had blood running where I wanted it to go. But tonight was…..different. I didn't feel a thing. “Is this because of your wife? Don't you love me anymore?” A small part of me was irritated with her unending whining. “I still love you” “Then why did you agree to marry her” “It's what the elders council wanted. You know I can't go against them, especially when I just became Alpha” Rina pouted, still not convinced. I sighed and cupped her face in my palm. “My marriage to Mia won't change anything between us. Just be patient. Everything will return to its original place soon” I wiped the tears that trickled down her cheek. “I'm tired. I need to sleep now” I stood up and headed to the room, pretending not to hear her sniffle behind me. Very early the next morning, a call from Michael woke me up. We had trained together since we were kids and he knew me better than anyone. Even my parents. His father retired early so he had taken over the beta position earlier than I had. I picked the call. “Hey man. I hate to call you on your honeymoon but this is important” His tone sounded serious and the constant whoosh of the wind signified he was out in the forest. “What is it?” I asked my expression grim. “The rogues…..they attacked again” Months ago, I received reports of rogues attacking pack members. As countermeasures, I had deployed several warriors to fight them but they kept coming. It was getting out of hand. “They have gotten more brazen. The injuries they inflicted are more fatal this time. I think you need to come” “Where are you?” I dashed out of the room. “Where are you going?” Rina asked, standing up “Something urgent came up” I said, without stopping. The rest of her words were blocked out as I slammed the door shut. I arrived at the forest, and approached Michael while other warriors searched the area. I could see signs of blood on the floor coupled with paw prints imprinted in the soil. “Six pack members were injured and their valuables stolen. They have been taken to the hospital?” “The rogues?” “We’re still looking for them” Michael said. “Any luck?” “No, but they are still around” I sighed in frustration. “How come your men can't handle a bunch of rogues? Is this the best they can do? They are becoming completely useless. From now on, Intensify their training. I'll train them personally. Also, Inform everyone, all pack member should keep their doors locked. They must not open to anyone. It's very dangerous outside” “Alright” “Keep looking and extend your search” I ordered. I was about to join in when I caught a scent I could not forget so easily. Mia.Amber:The hall glowed under the gold crystal chandelier. The air was thick with the scent of fresh flowers and expensive perfumes as more wealthy guests poured in with smiles that didn't reach their eyes. Politicians, CEOs, business moguls from all over the country.I shifted uncomfortably in my black silk gown which hugged my body perfectly, my fingers twisting around the stem of the champagne flute.I was never a fan of dresses. My face was trained on the entrance, counting the seconds till Cedric's arrival. “You look like you're two seconds away from a nervous breakdown” Leo said with a smirk. Alex and Elsie walked through the door, cameras flashing in their faces. He leaned in and whispered something in her ear, making her smile and blush uncontrollably. I rolled my eyes and returned my focus to the door. My heart hammered in my chest when Cedric finally arrived, his arms linked with Valerie's. Her chestnut hair gleamed under the lights and her lips curled up cheerfully. S
Amber:I stood by the staircase, staring down at the breakfast table. Elsie sat at the table, her hands wrapped around her coffee mug, unaware of me hovering above her. I knew she was up to something but I could figure out what it was but the truth remained that Alex loved her. I descended the stairs and hopped on the chair beside her. She stiffened and made to leave. “No, sit” I sounded like a general giving orders but she complied and glided back into her seat, her lips pressed into a thin line. I bit my tongue, hesitant to speak but I had no choice. “I need your help” my voice was barely above a whisper.“I didn't hear that”I glared daggers at her. I had no idea whether she heard me but wanted me to repeat or she really did not hear me. “I need your help” I said a little louder. She furrowed her brows. “My help?”“How did you make Alex fall so madly in love with you?”“I…I don't….. What is this about? Are you asking me this because you suspect I'm here to hurt your brother?”
Amber:One glance at Elsie's slightly disheveled hair and Alex's crooked tie and I already knew what happened. The place was filled with the tell tale signs of sex. I shot Elsie a cold hard glare and she hurriedly avoided my eyes. “What do you mean you work here now? How come I don't know about it?”I shrugged indifferently. A vein popped on his forehead, a dangerous glint in his eyes. Elsie's voice cut through the thick silence between us. “I'll let you two talk” Alex didn't stop her. His furious gaze was locked on me. She went back into the elevator.“Let's talk in my office”I rolled my eyes but followed him in. The moment I shut the door, he turned to me, eyes blazing with anger. “How did you get in? What did you do Amber?”“I have the qualifications. I got in here fair and square”I knew that wasn't true. I had gone directly to the head of HR but he was hesitant to employ me and insisted on speaking to Alex first. I knew Alex wasn't going to agree so I had no choice but to c
Alex:“What the hell, man” Cedric said the moment we heard the door of her room close. I leaned back against the couch. “What?”“I thought the girl would be dead by now. You told me yourself she tried to kill you earlier today”Thanks to my powerful genes as a hybrid, I had heightened senses and could see and hear things from a far distance. I had seen her aiming the rifle at me. I remembered the look on her face when our eyes met. But why did she stop? I had no idea. “She didn't go through with it”Cedric narrowed his eyes. Even to my own ears, It sounded like I was defending her. “What's really going on here, Alex? She lives under your fucking roof”“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I have a plan”“Don't give me that bullshit. Be honest with me, are you in love with her?”“No”“You call her ‘princess’ for goddess' sake. If you are falling for her, it means Antonio's plan is working and we can't let him win”“I'm not having this conversation anymore”“Alex….”“Dro
Elsie: Her eyes bore deep into mine like she was staring into my soul. ”You approached him with ill intentions" she muttered, tilting her head.”What?”“You came to him with a hidden agenda, didn't you?”I was short of words. How the hell did she know that? “Spill it. What do you want from him? His money?”So she didn't know the exact reason. I exhaled a small sigh of relief. I recoiled as she approached. "I have no idea what you're talking about"Her eyes narrowed. "Oh, I think you do. I'll find out what it is and when I do, you will regret ever getting to know me. You better watch your back" she sounded like she really was onto me. It wasn't Amber's threat that scared me but the look in her eyes. I waited till Alex had left for work before heading to Alicia's house. I had no idea Alex had a twin sister. Somehow, the file Antonio had given me which apparently contained all the information I needed about Alex omitted the part where he had a crazy twin sister.
Amber:I sat at the vanity table in my hotel room, eyeing my phone, silently hoping Cedric would call and apologize for being such an ass. However, it was just wishful thinking. No calls. No text. Nothing.I grabbed my laptop and hacked into Simpsons group's system and dug out her file. Maybe I was going a little too far but I wasn't about to give up.Her profile was perfect. She had even won the employee of the year award. I looked into her personal profile, but it was annoyingly clean. No scandal. No debt. There was nothing to use against her. I slammed the laptop shut and fell into bed. Exhaustion kicked in and I feel asleep immediately. *******The next morning, I drove into Alex place and punched in the passcode, heading straight to my room which was right next to his.He had specially given me the room after it was built. Though I rarely slept there, it was still mine. I brought out the key, unlocked the door and stepped inside. The first thing I noticed was an unfamiliar
Mia:My eyes fluttered open. My vision cleared up seconds later and for a while, my mind was empty, a loud ringing in my ear and the strained sound of my breathing.“Are you awake?” I turned to see Mira seated beside my bed. “What happened?” I asked. I glanced at my carefully bandaged hand where I
Kate:I rounded a corner to see a girl leave one of the rooms. My brows furrowed. I had never seen her before. Micheal appeared behind me.“Who is that girl?” I said, watching her back as she retreated down the hallway.“A new maid. Mia brought her back”“Do they know each other?”“I have no idea”
Mia: “You should have told me” Axel said, a hint of anger in his eyes as he stepped away from me. “Why? I went to Nightshade at my expense because of you. Because I want you to reclaim what is rightfully yours” “I know but it doesn't change the fact that you told me nothing about it and decide
Mia: I opened the door slightly. Lukas stood with his hand braced against the edges of the dresser, his muscles taut and his head down. “Lukas?” I called gently. I stepped inside and my gaze met his gaze through the mirror. “Please don't be upset” I said, my fingers intertwined in front of me.
