Luther
I stood there looking around trying to make sure that there was nothing that would cross my eye. I had searched the entire hospital to see if I would find Selena but there was no sign of her.
‘Did she leave the pack? There is no way for me to help her now,’ I was looking around trying to find out what happened.
I stood outside the hospital looking around, “What in the world is happening now? Selena can't even move that far with all those wounds on her body.” I clenched my fist, the pain of thinking about something happening to her haunted my mind and there was nothing I could do.
While I was standing out there a car pulled up in front of me, it was my beta, Lucas. He arrived as soon as he heard that I was about to leave the hospital.
He opened the car door and stepped out, “Alpha Luther, sorry I am a bit late.” Lucas said as he walked towards me looking a bit troubled.
“It's fine, tell me, have you heard anything from Selena?” I asked Lucas, waiting for him, to tell me that he had seen her earlier that day back at the packhouse even when I knew that it was not true.
“No, my Alpha, I have not seen her except the morning before she left with lady Adriane.” Lucas looked at me, he could see the hurt in my eyes and he was sure that there was something that was bothering me.
“Is there anything wrong my Alpha?” He asked looking at me, he could see the pain in my eyes. It was not like I was trying to hide it from anyone but it was clear as day that I was bothered.
I looked at him with a smile, I didn't want him to know what was going on. “I'm fine, don't worry about a thing.” I only said those words to make sure that there was nothing going to distract him.
Lucas wasn't going to be deceived but he didn't want me to feel like he was pressuring me into telling him anything.
“If you say so my Alpha, right we are heading back to the packhouse?” Lucas asked as he looked at me through the rearview mirror.
I nodded trying to make sure I didn't say anything, thinking of where my wife had gone to.
‘I didn't know that she would leave like this, not even leaving a trace of where she had gone. This is not like what I would even want to imagine. But I hope she is okay,’
My thoughts kept running wild at first, we got back to the packhouse and I saw that it was a bit quite than usual.
‘Well, why wouldn't it be?’
The Annual Blood Crest Pack ceremony was about to be held when the accident happened, what was more alarming was that it was my wife and my supposed fated mate who had caused the accident.
I left to go see the council of elders to make sure that there was nothing going to be wrong with them but also I wanted to know the punishment for the crime.
I had learned that if the wounds were proven fatal they would have to banish the person responsible with a silver chain around her neck showing that she was a criminal.
I didn't want that to happen to any of them so I wanted to make sure that there was nothing going to make them look like criminals. But it looks like I took things too far, when I entered and I heard Selena's side of the story I immediately knew that Adriane had done all that.
But there was no way I would be able to make my mother and sister see that Selena was not meant to take the blame, they already had it in their mind that she was a worthless nobody.
‘If only they knew,’
I got out of the car, I looked around to see that there were no maids in the pack house at the time. All the omega maids were absent, it was a holiday after all.
“Alpha Luther, you're home.” I looked up to see the head maid Gerlta standing by the doorway, she had a smile on her face to see me. Even if all the maids were absent Gerlta would always make sure that there is nothing out of place for us. “I wasn't expecting you to be back at this moment, you're not with lady Selena.”
“No she is not here with me, I thought that she would be back here.” I sounded a bit defeated but I made sure that I held back my facial expressions.
“No she hasn't come back, she left quite early with Lady Adriane,” Gerlta pointed out with her smile not even fading, she was looking at me trying to see what I was trying to say.
I nodded as I headed inside the house, I was not in the mood to see anything other than Selena and her beautiful silver hair. The one radiating smile that I would always look forward to when I would come back to the house, even though I was being held down by my mother and sister constantly calling her a nobody.
No matter what I did, they would always try to make it look like I was only marrying her out of pity when it was not for that.
I walked into my room, and I noticed it harbored a familiar and comfortable scent.
“Selena?”
I looked around to see that the room was well arranged and all my clothes were kept in place.
“Gerlta, who cleaned my room?” I asked the head maid.
“It was lady Selena, she never lets anyone do it but her. Even though I tell her to let me do it she would never agree to anything I say.” Gerlta had a smile on her face, I knew she was not angry that Selena would try to do anything like that.
I forced a smile on my face, my heart filled with pain. I just let the words roll out of my mouth. “Yeah I know she was something, and I think I lost her.”
Luther It was hard for me to even think of anything aside from Selena. The Pack had been waiting for me to make a move and lead them forward, but things were harder for me than I imagined. “My lord, if you are going to remain here like this, then there would be no way for me to do a thing.” A warrior of mine, Luca, spoke up. He was watching me, and this wasn't the first time in a few hours that he tried to get me out of the chair. “I will be with you, Luca. I am only trying to get my head together here so nothing would come and take it from me.” I couldn't even think of anything important enough to get me up from the chair. “I know you must be saddened, my Lord, but this isn't the best moment for you to be like this, and you should be somewhere out there so you would be able to handle it.” He was speaking like I was off duty for a long time, I was only down for a few hour,s and I was trying to avoid Father’s speech on how I am handling this well. If anything, I was not handlin
Selena “Wait, so you are telling me you are an important part of the Kingdoms? Like, there is a major role for you to play and make sure that nothing bad happens to all of us.” She was looking at me with gleaming eyes. I could tell that there was a lot on her head, and the way she was trying to hold it in and not ask was adorable. “I won't say that I am that important….” “Dont believe her, Krystal, she is that important. I wonder why you would always want to hide things like this from people?!” Viktor walked in with a smile on his face. He was looking at me with a book in his hand. “You are always looking for ways to make sure you downplay your importance in the packs in this kingdom, and you need to be held in high regard.” He wasn't going to let anything slip past him; he was always going to be the one who would try to get everything in order. I didnt know how he was going to be handling things like this for the long run, but then… “I know I am important to the King and the
Luther. It was not easy, trying to recollect all I had done to Selena and the harsh things I said to her. It was all taking a toll on my mind, knowing that I was not going to be able to explain myself to her. No matter how hard I tried, there was no way for me even to make things right again. ‘How could I be so blind?’ Looking back, I could see the times she was trying to tell me that it wasn't her and how I would ignore her. “Take this Four Million Dollars, your title as Luna will be reserved, but I want you to take the blame for Adirane.” I remember the last thing I told her that day before she made up her mind to leave. It was not an easy decision for her, but I was sure I helped her make it lighter to choose. “Even if I should go there to see her, Lord Viktor wouldn't even let me get a bit closer to her, so there is no way for me to even look her in the eye and tell her how I feel inside.”I was in my throne room alone, trying to clear things in my head, but the harder I tr
Selena. To say I was surprised to hear that there hadn't been a Lycan Queen for 500 years was an understatement. I was not even sure how it was even possible, but then the Kingdom had its laws and rules. “But why hasn't there been a queen? Was there something wrong, or didnt they fit the requirement of what was meant to rule?” I was looking at father, and it was not even clear from what they were saying, and I was trying to understand if there was something odd that I was not even following up on. Father shook his head. He turned to look at the elders at the table with a strange look on his face. “Remember when you turned 10, you were having weird dreams where you were seeing huge wolves and people were bowing to you.” He turned to look at me, and I could remember that dream. It was one of the weirdest I had in my entire life, and if it was up to me say it was strange beyond all knowledge. “I remember, but what does that have to do with what we are saying here?” I was looking a
Selena. I opened my eyes, strange. I had a dream where I saw Luther, and he told me that he was sorry for everything that had happened. It was a beautiful dream, filled with joy and hope. But it was what I thought it was, a dream, nothing more, nothing less. I got up from the bed, putting on my lace gown, and I walked to my balcony and looked down on the scarlet kingdom from my side. My eyes followed the lights straight to the Eastern lights; it was almost like a homing device was buried deep in my head for me to turn there all the time. “Luther…” It was still not easy for me to get him out of my mind; he was the one thing I couldn't forget or even get past. He was my everything, my world, my love, and my heartbeat. I would have done anything to make sure that nothing would take him away from me, but then there was no way for me to hold on to something that wasn’t me. But there was something a bit off. I couldn't tell what it was, but then I felt something odd, like a pull. ‘W
Writer’s Pov Everyone stood there, looking at Adriane. She couldn't say anything that would cover up the fact that she was in a bit of a pickle with Luther now, and written all over her face was fear. It was like she had lost a game she had kept in her control for a very long time. She was looking at the people there; it was not going to be an easy one for her to do. ‘Crap, I need to be…’ Her thoughts were cut short when Luther stepped in front of her with a stern look on his face.“Adriane, I want you to give me the answer to my question now,” Luther demanded. The entire hall was quiet, and they were looking at him as if he were some kind of force that had been released to show his rage. Adriane looked up. She was staring at Luther, and she knew there was no use for her to do anything else or even try to convince him. It was going to bring more trouble than she could juggle. She knew the only way now was to play back her place in his heart, and it was going to be harder than she
