Iliana’s POV:

Saying that I was physically tired and mentally exhausted would be the understatement of the year, but still, when Dad called on my way back from the university, I put on a huge smile and told him how amazingly fine I was.

Stepping out of the elevator, I walked to the end of the corridor and stopped in front of my apartment. My gaze zeroed in on the perfectly installed lock…no scratch, no attempts to break in.

Any sane person would be happy with the semblance of safety, but all I felt was disappointment.

Fishing out the key from my pocket, I unlocked the door and slid inside. Dumping my bag on the couch, I went straight into the kitchen, washed my hands, opened the fridge, took out the leftover pizza, and heated it in the oven. Usually, I ate after taking a shower but right now, I was so famished to do anything that didn’t include stuffing my mouth with food.

Once I was done gobbling down two large pizza slices, I got off the couch and sauntered straight into the washroo

Iliana’s POV:The next morning, I opened my eyes and the first thing I felt was soreness between my legs. A deep blush crept up my neck as the images of last night flooded my mind.Last night, he had fucked me against the wall and then took me again on the bed. We fucked until my moans ran dry and all energy drained out of me and only then did he leave me.I was too tired even to get up and wash myself. My eyelids felt heavy and I was half asleep when I saw him getting off the bed, going into the washroom, and returning with a wet towel.A smile crept over my face at the memory of him wiping me clean and pressing the hot towel between my legs with the softness that made me question the roughness with which he had fucked me just a few moments ago.I wanted to stay on the bed and reminisce about those blissful moments all over again but I couldn’t afford to do so if I wanted to keep my scholarship intact. So, with a heavy groan, I persuaded myself to kick off the comforter and dragged m

Iliana’s POV:With a deep frown etched between my brows, I slowly turned around to face the tall silhouette, “What?”“Come on, answer me,” he demanded in a low, aggravated voice that reverberated deep within my cells, “Why didn’t you turn on the light?” he repeated his question.I stared at him, still confused, “How does that even matter?”“It does actually,” he gritted out fiercely. And then, to my utter surprise, he flipped the hood back and removed his mask. Even though it was too dark to see his face, my heart lurched into my throat at the anticipation.Taking off his cloak, he tossed it on the bed, “You just complained that you know nothing about me or what my name is or how I look, right?”When I stayed silent, he took a step toward me and said, in a voice that commanded obedience without raising a decibel, “You answer me when I ask you a question, Iliana.”“Y-yes,” I blurted out quickly. With every slow, deliberate step he was closing the distance between us, my heart beat turn

  • Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker   Chapter 34

Maddox’s POV:The deeper we followed into the realm, the denser the ash became. Our boots sank into the ground as if it wished to drag us down. The violet hues in the sky became more intense and the mist thickened. The air grew heavier and every breath was a struggle as it felt like we were inhaling sand into our lungs.Nyx had long gone to sleep and there was no chance to shift now.The Withered Huskborn glided ahead, his skeletal frame moving in unnatural silence. He would occasionally tilt his head around, and although I never caught the sockets of his eyes, I felt his gaze on me every time. The three of us followed him in silence. Eldric was slightly ahead with a totem clenched in his fist. Caleb stayed close to me. Although he was silent but his presence was loud enough for me to know I wasn’t alone. But still, I felt like that. Every time I blinked, Iliana’s face, pale and horrified, flashed behind my eyelids. I couldn’t forget the sight of Iliana’s face contorted in terror, the

Maddox’s POV:“Name the price,” I clenched my fists at my sides, preparing for whatever was about to leave his mouth because I knew he wouldn’t be asking for money or jewels. No, that was of no use to the Withered Huskborn. These creatures thrive on the agony of others.“It isn’t much. Just an access to your sweetest memories,” Espen rasped, his voice like dry reeds scraping together.Eldric, Caleb, and I exchanged doubtful glances, trying to interpret the hidden meaning underlying his words. Not wanting us to have enough time to ponder over his trap, Espen hurried, “So, who among you will pay the price?”Taking a deep breath, Eldric stepped forward, “I wil-““No,” I cut him off before he could finish saying that. All three heads turned toward me. Espen’s eyes lit with curiosity when Eldric muttered, “You already owe a price to the warlock. Let me pay this time.”Espen didn’t explain what exactly he was gonna do with the memories. But Eldric’s sweetest memories must be of his late ma

  • Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker   Chapter 32

Maddox’s POV:The moment I stepped through the portal, I jerked around to find the silver glow going dim and then completely disappearing with a soundless shatter. At my first inhale, Nyx thrashed restlessly inside me.“What the heck? It’s a completely different world out here.” Caleb gasped beside me.“Yeah, because it’s another realm,” Eldric stated the obvious.I turned around, eyes scanning the surroundings with distrust. Caleb was right though. It was, indeed, a completely different world. The sky was bleeding in the hues of black and violet. The air stank of iron and decay as if left too long in a sealed room. And the more I breathed it, the more my wolf felt unrest.“There is no moon in the sky,” Caleb observed aloud while scanning the empty sky.Eldric stepped forward and a faint sound of ash hissed beneath his feet, “It’s a realm that was built for protection from our kind.”Caleb tilted his head to the side, “From werewolves?”Eldric nodded and without turning around, he fur
