LYRA’S POV

She can't be fucking serious right now.

I stared at Zurien, his pure black eyes staring back at me, they were void of emotion.

He was about to kill us and my wolf decided it was the perfect time to gush over his looks.

“We are about to die,” I snapped at her internally. “And you’re admiring him?”

“I can multitask,” my wolf replied lazily.

I scowled “Can you stop, he is our fucking enemy”

“You can't blame me, Our enemy is a fine ass man.”

She was right but now was not the time for that, I needed to look for a way to leave here.

“Focus,” I hissed. “That is the Reaper standing in front of us, and he is dangerous”

She sighed dramatically. “A deadly, powerful, terrifyingly attractive Reaper.”

I rolled my eyes so hard I was surprised I didn’t strain something.

Before I could retort, Zurien moved.

He didn’t shift or snarl, his steps were light on the ground as he attacked me.

I watched as students passed by me in small groups, chatting and laughing as their rides came to pick them up. Of course, I was the only one without a ride.
