LYRA’S POV

The air around me was different, there was no longer a look of hostility or discrimination but they were all looking at me with admiration.

I was surprised by the immediate switch.

The pack warriors who had been speaking against me, were now whispering among themselves, it was obvious that they were praising me and not belittling me.

Some of them glanced at me and tried to avoid eye contact with me.

And I swear I heard someone suggest that I might have alpha blood in me.

Well, they were not wrong because I actually did, and that was also one of my biggest advantages over them, and of course, it was all possible because of my relentless training.

Although being an alpha blood and a silver wolf helped, but my training also helped me greatly.

One of them finally stepped forward.

He was tall, broad-shouldered, with scars lining his arms, it was clear that they were signs of many battles.

“That was…” he paused, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, “that was impress

LYRA’S POVI had just stepped out of my room, when I was immediately approached by Hannah, who had a huge smile on her face.“Lyra” she called my name in a sing song tone.I turned to face her and politely smiled back.“Where have you been, I have been looking for you”“In my room” I replied stating the obvious.I don’t really know anywhere in this pack, so I chose to stay in my room.“I want to go shopping, would you like to come?” She asked.“Ehm.. I” Before I could reply, Hannah held my hand as she dragged me away.“I know you will say yes” she said excitedly even though I had clearly not replied to her yet. “We are going to have so much fun,” she added as she led me outside. We got to the parking lot and the driver was already waiting for us.Once we were inside the car, it drove off immediately.“Don’t you think we should have told Kael before leaving” I asked, once I was in the car.“I did but he said he was busy” She just brushed it “That’s why I wanted you to come with me”I c

  • Alpha Matchmaking System   112. He Still Loves Her

LYRA’S POV“But…. She told me she was your mate” I remembered hearing her clearly and with how close they were, it was hard not to believe they were mates.Kael chuckled lightly “She always does that”I was confused “What do you mean?”“While growing up, we were really close that most pack members called us mates, it was like a normal thing we hear whenever we were seen together” he explained to me “And she got used to it and she sometimes still makes jokes about us being mates, you don't need to worry about her” he said then continued.“If it bothers you, I can tell her to stop” he asked me.Although I still felt it was weird that Hannah had told me Kael was her mate and still asked me if I had feelings for him.I did not miss the look on her face when I had said no, it was obvious she was elated with my answer.Kael might be oblivious to the fact that Hannah actually likes him, I mean everybody could see that, but it was not my place to point it out.I sighed and shook my head sligh

  • Alpha Matchmaking System   111. Childhood Friend

LYRA’S POV Before I could say anything and respond to Kael, Hannah stepped between us.“She is fine, we talked a lot before coming here” she responded “let’s go and eat before the food runs cold”She took my hand and led me to the dining table. When we got to the table, Kael pulled out a chair next to where he had been sitting and Hannah immediately sat there then smiled at him sweetly.“Thank you,” she told him, and turned to me. “You can sit there,” she pointed to the chair opposite her.I just complied and moved to the seat opposite her. “Here let me help you” Kael pulled out the chair for me and instead of sitting near his grandfather and beside Hannah, he sat beside me.“Kael, won't you introduce your guest?” I looked up and saw his grandfather smiling at me.Kael then turned to me “Gramps, this is Lyra, we were matched by the academy” he gestured to me Lyra, this is my grandfather, Alpha Simon”“Lyra…” he called out my name as if he was trying to remember something “Kael has t

LYRA’S POV“You must be from the academy,” she added, seeing that I did not respond.I just nodded, still shocked from the initial revelation. Her words still echoed in my head.Kael’s mate.“Yeah,” I responded to her and she smiled brightly.“I thought so, Kael mentioned someone from the academy would be staying here” she told me as she walked closer to me and sat on the bed beside me“He did” I questioned.“Yes, he had informed us late but you are a special guest to Kael so we prepared this room for you” I looked around the room, then she scooted closer to me.“So….. what is it like?” she asked. “The academy, I mean.”I hesitated, unsure of how much I should say.“It’s…. It’s nice,” I replied simply. “Strict, but nice.”She tilted her head, as if expecting more. “Just that?”She did not seem satisfied with my answer.I shrugged lightly. “There isn’t much else to say.”She studied me for a moment, then smiled again. “Then tell me about Kael. What is he like there?”The way she spoke

LYRA’S POVI did not realize I was shaking until his arms wrapped around me.The moment Kael pulled me into his embrace, everything I had been holding back shattered. My fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt as my body trembled against his chest. I didn’t have the strength to push him away, not when the ache in my chest felt like it was splitting me open.Karl’s arms tightened instinctively around me, firm and protective, like he was afraid I might disappear if he loosened his grip.“Lyra…” he murmured softly.I did not answer, hell, I could not even say anything.I thought Kael had left and was surprised to see him here at the same time. I was relieved that he was here, regardless of the fact that I hated how weak I looked right now.I hated being like this. The tears came harder, they kept on spilling freely down my cheeks, soaking into his shirt. My shoulders shook as I sobbed silently and no matter how hard I tried I could not stop, the tears just kept on falling down my che

  • Alpha Matchmaking System   108. Disowned

LYRA’S POV I stood in front of the academy’s gate, holding my bags, and with my phone clutched tightly in my hand as I stared at the screen. Of course, there was no signal. I let out a slow breath and lifted my head, scanning the road as if a cab might magically appear just because I willed it to. I watched as students passed by me in small groups, chatting and laughing as their rides came to pick them up. Of course, I was the only one without a ride. I looked at my phone again checking if there was a signal but there was none. I sighed deeply. Yesterday had left me really tired, after I had forcefully shifted because of what Principal Rowan had given, Ivy had to stay with me till I was able to shift back from my wolf form. And Lance was still with the bottle that contained the drink, he said he was going to reach out to me if he found out what it was. School was no longer in session and everyone was going home. I was looking forward to getting home. Mainly because I hoped
