Prologue

Since she was a child, Tatiana Kintyre Wilbur Thyagaraja was born to be defective with all the traits of a she-wolf. She was born weak to slay, fragile for all the quirks that had to give rise to fulfillment, and a wimp to even hoist up a sword.

But she's the claimed lineage of Thyagaraja's direct disciples through various ancestors, the reason she was scurried to be the Alpha's mate.

Yet, after knowing how feeble she is, the Alpha ordered a decree for all the gratis she-wolf to battle and win the chance to be his other half.

And so, the trial has begun.

In the gloom there is steam, rising in short puffs, miniature clouds started appearing in the sky.

Tatiana crouched, resting the hilt of her sword on the rain-soaked ground before raising a licked finger to the air. Wind in her face, good, that might give her the edge.

She stood, lithe even in her enemy's armor. Dreadful chills slithered into her veins. She didn't even know that fighting a she-wolf like her would be this hard.

"You'll never win to me, Tatiana. Even the Alpha will be mine." the she-wolf gave her a grin, mocking her for being this weak.

Tatiana gritted her teeth, blood was oozing from her lips, making it look like it has been pricked.

Just as much as she wanted to wail her resentment out, she can't. This battle didn't even give her a choice to pick.

It's either to win this and get the throne or lose and be killed by the Alpha.

Tatiana bitterly smiled. What can she say? Her life was fucked up from the start just because of their standards, the norms she didn't strive to keep up.

"I concede." Tatiana declared and throw the sword away from her.

Her head was hung low when she trudged out from the raging crowd who were cheering for the victor.

Her tears were seeping from her eyes and she doesn't have the strength to wipe them dry. And now that she's in front of her house's doorsteps, she lifted her hand for a knock but the door loosened suddenly.

Yet, the horrifying scene in front of her makes her limbs weaken and she collapse on the floor.

"M-mom?!" she screamed while weeping hardly after catching a glimpse of her mother's lifeless body laid on the frigid sealant.

Tatiana has deteriorated in a flick but when her eyes shifted to her brother's corpse dripping in his blood, her eyes turned blank while quivering promptly.

"W-why?" her hoarse voice almost choke her, augmented by her laments.

"Tatiana, in this world where strength is top-notch, there's no room for weak. I'm doing our world a favor, eliminating the weak would quell the thriving population of your kind."

"Then why spare me, Alpha? Fucking why?!" her frail voice was hazed with anger and hatred.

The Alpha cracked up a travesty taunt.

"Because I want you to remember this and set it as a reminder of how weak you are. Suffer hugely, Tatiana."
