Chapter 19 The Sight

DIONY EMPIRE

AUTHOR’S POV

Damon watched Nektarios unpack his bun, allowing his hair to cascade down his shoulder. Shaking it vigorously, he dipped himself into the ice bath. With his eyes closed, he took a deep breath, letting out smoke from his nose. The secretly fenced cabin house they had built in the depths of the woods, not far from Nektarios' home, happens to be the only place aside from his home where the Alpha king lets himself be vulnerable. And the only one who consistently sees him in such a state is nobody but Damon. Being his bodyguard, it was easy to move around with him without anyone suspecting anything, especially the internal enemies, whose eyes and noses are always kept to the ground.

Damon was always delighted when Nektarios asked that they visit the place because it allowed the alpha king to escape the burdens of the empire and get the desired rest he needed. He only gets a well-rested sleep when he soaks in an ice-filled bath. If not f

  • Alpha Nektarios Hated Human Mate   Wolf in control

NEKTARIOS’ POV “How dare you?” I gnarled, tightening my grip around her neck. Not once has it happened in my entire years of living have I heard anyone call me to my face a destruction. But this wretched thing that calls herself a human thinks she can talk to me whichever way she pleases. My claws were out, and they sank into her neckline. Her flappy hands slapped my arm, her legs kicking viciously. I can feel my wolf turning against me, but I wasn’t about to let her go. Her existence has turned my world upside down, and I want her out of it. I want her gone like a lost memory. I had come by the house to get something from my room, as if her presence wasn’t enough tragedy. She got quite comfortable breeding a garden in my home like hers. The last time I was here, I had noticed the garden blossoming. I didn’t need to ask anyone to know the human had done it. Her filthy scent was everywhere, giving me enough reason to snuff life out of the plants. Thought that would serve as enough of

ATARIAH’S POVMy body and soul do not seem to align despite how much I had indulged in a rigorous exercise before bed by running around the premises, which got me side looks from the guards. They probably would have torn me apart if they weren’t ordered to protect me. It is hard even to tell who exactly is behind the protection order because it cannot be that king monster who hates my existence so much. Knowing his history, I have many more reasons to detest him.I can't even imagine my ancestors living freely among these monsters. I vividly remember the few moments I spent in that cell I was locked in when I first arrived. The people in there looked like they were on the verge of death. Fear lingered in their eyes, and malnourishment was evident on their skin. How can anyone justify treating someone so shabbily? Whatever the ancestors of humans did, the number of people who have had to bear the consequences is more than enough. The king monster is just being reckless with his devilis

AUTHOR’S POVHelga mouthed a thank you to the helper who served her meal. She was about to dig into it when she felt Livia’s intense gaze. Huffing, she raised her head. “Do you have plans to dig out my guts with your eyes? What is it?”Livia let out a loud sigh. “Why did you cut me short when I was about to delve into how we were subject to the human’s betrayal? Isn’t that the same thing Octavia requested us to do?”She was about to respond when Damon strutted into the space, beaming brightly at the women. “There are my beautiful ladies. I thought Aunt Octavia would be here. Where is she?” Damon asked as he pecked each woman on the cheek.“She went home early,” Livia replied, still keeping her eyes on Helga. “Join us for dinner, Damon.”“I had no plans of refusing.” He chuckled, taking a seat.“How is your sister, Malia?” she asked.“Hale and hearty. I left her not too long ago after she went to bed. She sleeps in early nowadays and wakes up like a happy lily the next day,” he snicke

  • Alpha Nektarios Hated Human Mate   History Of Diony

ATARIAH’S POVMy ears perked as Helga opened her mouth to speak. The strange look in her eyes only kept me grounded to hear all that she had to say. I had sought this knowledge, so I do not want to miss out on anything.“Many centuries ago, every being that existed on the earth and Ouranos lived in harmony. The human was led by the god Laila, werewolves by the moon goddess, vampires were followers of Dracula, and the angels had their winged god Ares, who rules the Ouranos and is also the leader of the angels. They coexisted without going against each other.”I blinked rapidly, clasping a hand over my mouth. “Are you serious? My ancestors lived with you guys?” I questioned, giving her a suspicious glare. This story already sounds like a farce even before it starts.Helga looked at me sternly. “Are you going to listen or just question me all day?”Scratching at my ear slightly, I nodded slowly. “Alright. I am all ears.”The dark shadow returned to her face. It's almost as if she hated t

AUTHOR’s POVAn ominous silence lingered in the air as the three women sat in awkward silence. Their wolves were restless and seemed to struggle to communicate their thoughts. When they were assigned the task, considering the person involved, they didn’t think they would need to tell their beginnings to not just a stranger but an enemy.Octavia couldn’t hold it in anymore and had to say something. “Are we doing this?”Helga scoffed, “You make it sound like we have any other choice. The lord already gave us a go-ahead.”“So you think he just gave us the go-ahead without expecting us to be cautious?” she inquired.Livia furrowed her brows. “What are you driving at? That we shouldn’t narrate the entire history to her? Her people betrayed us.”“And that is exactly why I think that isn’t our place to tell. Since she wants to know so much about our history, our gods, and what led us here, we might as well share the part that would put her in her place.” Octavia stated.Helga cackled dryly,

  • Alpha Nektarios Hated Human Mate   The Vicious Vampire

ATARIAH’S POV“My lady, I just got devastating news,” Damila announced as she placed the food supplies she had gone to receive on the kitchen island.I look up from the note I was writing. “What news?” I asked, hoping it wasn’t what I dreaded the most. I have been trying to excite myself with the plants lord damon had gifted me and not think about the court ladies who have now deserted me for too long. Suppose they have truly turned on me. There isn’t much hope to break from here.“I heard some guards talking about the Alpha king renewing his relationship with his concubine.”Feeling slightly relieved, I quirked a brow, “So what is devastating about the news?”“Can’t you see how much this is a big blow to you? The alpha king getting fully involved with his mistress only means that he isn’t interested in sharing himself with you. And you are his mate.”Staring at her for a while, I wasn’t sure if she was joking or being serious. It wasn’t until I saw the serious look on her face that I
