A journey far away from home
The governor and Claire had managed to escape the president and his soldiers. He had now arrived at the borders of the city and was free to return to his human form since he was no longer threatened.
They approached the center of the woods in the border and the governor thought he should take a rest there since they were no longer in danger. He relaxed on the floor and Claire could not but imagine how a governor turned into a fugitive for being different.
She sat beside him and watched him as he was panting. She opened her knapsack and brought out a bottle of water which she gave to him.
“You had water with you?” the governor asked in surprise.
She shrugged her shoulders and replied. “Uh well… we have something to carry us until we get to Raul’s village. I had to preserve this from the meal your servants served me back at your mansion.”
