Raul’s lessons 5: Facing reality
Raul arrived home from work, tired and hungry. He’d had a long day at work and needed to order for himself some fast food. So he made a phone call to place the order and decided to hit the shower. He was in the shower when he noticed that someone had entered his house.
He could perceive that it was Claire and he called from the bathroom.
“Claire, is that you?”
“Where are you, Raul? And how did you know it was me?” Claire replied in surprise.
“I’m in the shower. What’s going on? What are you doing here, this late?” Raul smiled as he rounded up his bath. “Kal isn’t here now.”
“Yeah… I didn’t come to see Kal.” Claire confessed taking a seat in the living room to wait for him. “By the way, where’s everybody?”
“They should be back soon. Virgil and Kal are at Tom’s,” he replied as he got out of the bathroom in jeans

Raul did not yet develop the courage to talk to Betty. He had not visited Tom and Heather in a while. He was too busy working or worrying about Hayley. He noticed that his friends, Kal and Virgil were still fast asleep so he had to get the door himself.He wondered who it was coming so early in the morning. He took a peep through the door’s peephole and saw Ella standing there. He had almost forgotten about her and their last encounter that almost broke him and Virgil because he thought that he was deceiving and lying to him.
