The scientist was watching from his system where he was monitoring the clone. He observed that it had somehow lost its signal and knew that it was dead. He turned to face the president who was anxiously gazing at him for positive answers.
“We have lost him, sir.” The scientist confessed.
“Hmm…” the president sighed. He went to take a seat and continued. “But I thought you said that it could not be defeated.”
“Yes but it’s still vulnerable to die especially if burned as I suspect it was.” the scientist defended himself.
The president was silent for a while and said nothing. Then he caressed his chin and asked. “Where is the first project anyway?”
“He has been stored away safely and used to clone the others.” The scientist responded.
“Bring him in. he should lead the others…” the president ordered but was cut short by the scientist.
