Alpha Orion's POV:

I couldn't believe it. After all these years, all these sleepless nights plagued by dreams of a girl whom I couldn't find anywhere else other than my dreams —she was real.

She was here, in my arms, falling through the sky like some twisted fairy tale.

The irony wasn't lost on me. I had been traveling back to New York from a business meeting in Edinburgh, my private jet cutting through the clouds above London, when it hit me like a physical blow.

A pull so intense, so primal, that I'd ordered my pilot to change course immediately. Something was calling to me, drawing me like a moth to flame, and I was powerless to resist.

"Sir, we don't have clearance to—" my pilot had protested.

"I don't care about clearance," I'd growled, the compulsion burning through my veins. "Let's land in London. Now."

The next thing I knew, I was using every connection, every favor owed to me, to get aboard that passenger plane. My security team thought I'd lost my mind.

Perhaps I had.

But the moment I stepped into that cabin and saw her—disguised though she was—everything clicked into place with stunning clarity.

The girl from my dreams. The girl who had haunted my sleep for as long as I could remember.

Real. Breathing.

*Mine*.

And now here we were, plummeting toward earth at terminal velocity because of that bastrad Valentin Volkov.

The wind screamed past us as we fell, but all I could focus on was her—the way she fit perfectly against my chest, how her arms wound around my neck with desperate trust.

Her scent, even through whatever magical concealment she'd used, called to something primal in my soul.

As we tumbled through the clouds, something extraordinary began to happen.

Visions, clear as daylight, flashed before my eyes.

*I saw myself standing on a marble balcony overlooking vast territories that stretched to the horizon. I wore ceremonial armor of silver and blood red, a crown of twisted metal and precious stones upon my head.

Below me, thousands of warriors knelt in submission, their heads bowed in reverence.*

*I was a king. A conqueror. My name was spoken in whispers across the known world—some in awe, others in terror.*

*But none of that mattered when I turned and saw her approaching through the grand hall behind me.*

*Golden hair that caught the torchlight like spun sunbeams. Eyes the color of spring forests after rain.

She wore a gown of deep emerald silk that hugged her curves like liquid starlight, and when she smiled at me—goddess, when she smiled—entire kingdoms could have fallen and I wouldn't have cared.*

*She was everything. My queen. My heart. My very soul.*

"Orion," her voice cut through the vision, bringing me back to our desperate present. But the memories continued to flood through me with each passing second of our fall.

*I saw her laughing as I chased her through moonlit gardens, her bare feet dancing across marble pathways.*

*I saw her fierce and beautiful in council meetings, her sharp mind cutting through political machinations that would have confounded lesser rulers.*

*I saw her beneath me on our wedding night, her eyes dark with passion as she whispered my name like a prayer.*

*I saw the wars I fought to keep her safe. The blood I spilled for my ambition. The terrible things I did because I desired to be greatest conqueror.*

The wind tore at us, trying to separate our bodies, but I held her tighter, my arms forming an unbreakable cage around her fragile form.

Every instinct I possessed screamed at me to protect her, to shield her from the impact that was racing toward us.

More visions cascaded through my consciousness:

*Her tears when she discovered the extent of my brutality. The way she looked at me with horror instead of love when she learned what I'd done to keep our throne secure.*

*"You've become a monster," she'd whispered, backing away from me as if I were poisonous.*

*"I became what I needed to become," I'd roared back. "For us! For our kingdom!"*

Understanding crashed over me like the ocean we were hurtling toward. In my past life, I had been powerful beyond measure, and now I was seeing them in full clarity.

"I remember," I shouted over the howling wind, pressing my lips to her ear. "I am seeing everything now!"

Her eyes met mine, wide with recognition and something that might have been hope.

The ground rushed up to meet us with terrifying speed. I could see we were headed for a large body of water—a lake or river, I couldn't tell which. At least it would be softer than concrete, though at this velocity, water might as well be steel.

I shifted our position so that I would hit first, my body a cushion for hers. If one of us was going to bear the brunt of this impact, it would be me. I'd do everything and anything to make her feel safe.

"Hold on to me," I commanded, though she was already clinging to me with desperate strength.

The water rushed up to embrace us, dark and cold and unforgiving.

We hit the surface with bone-jarring force. The impact drove the air from my lungs and sent shockwaves of pain through my entire body. But even as we plunged beneath the murky depths, even as the cold water closed over our heads, the visions continued with crystal clarity.

*I am seeing it all now. The beginning and the end. The love and the blood. The war that had torn us apart.*

The water embraced us like liquid darkness, and as consciousness began to slip away and I fell deeply into the visions of my past life - now seeing it all even vividly like I was reliving it.

"Orion. Orion. Orion."His name fell from my lips like a desperate prayer as we plunged deeper into the dark water. The impact had been brutal—even with our supernatural healing abilities, hitting the surface at that velocity had been like colliding with concrete. Every bone in my body screamed in protest, but that pain was nothing compared to the terror clawing at my chest.Something was wrong. Terribly, horribly wrong.Orion's body had gone completely limp in my arms the moment we'd hit the water. His powerful frame, which had held me so protectively during our fall, now felt like dead weight dragging us both toward the murky bottom of what I could now see was a river."Orion!" I screamed underwater, bubbles streaming from my mouth as I shook his shoulders. His eyes were closed, his face peaceful in a way that made my blood run cold. This wasn't unconsciousness from the impact—this was something else entirely.Panic surged through me as we continued to sink. The water was darker t

I was silent, unable to speak past the lump in my throat. The intercom crackled to life, shattering our suspended moment."Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking." The voice was tense, professional panic barely contained. "We have a situation. A private aircraft is pursuing our flight path and has ignored multiple warnings from air traffic control. Please remain calm and return to your seats immediately."Murmurs of alarm rippled through the sparse cabin. The few other passengers exchanged worried glances, reaching for their seat belts.Orion's expression darkened, his jaw clenching. My blood ran cold. "Valentin Volkov!" I said, the name a curse on my lips.I turned to look at Orion who seemed wide alert. In an instant, the powerful Alpha persona I remembered so well snapped into place. Orion straightened to his full, imposing height and addressed the anxious cabin."Everyone remain calm," he announced, his voice carrying a natural authority that silenced the growing pa

All my carefully constructed defenses—the years spent hiding, the meticulous precautions, the desperate flight from London—crumbled in an instant. He looked exactly as he had in my memories. Tall and imposing, with broad shoulders that tapered to a narrow waist. His face remained a masterpiece of sharp angles—high cheekbones that could cut glass, a strong jawline - and those eyes. • Alpha Orion's Obsession    Meeting my mortal enemy

Stella’s POV:The conference hall of the London Werewolf Summit was everything I expected—opulent, crowded, and mind-numbingly boring. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ornate ceiling, casting prismatic light over the assembled supernatural dignitaries. From my carefully chosen seat in the back row, I had a clear view of the exits—something that had become second nature to me over the years."The North American packs propose a twenty percent increase in the mutual defense budget, with particular emphasis on anti-hunter technologies..." droned the current speaker, a portly Alpha from Canada whose name I'd already forgotten.I stifled a yawn behind my hand. Three hours of territorial disputes, budget allocations, and supernatural politics had drained whatever enthusiasm I'd had for this excursion. Even my disguise—a chestnut brown wig styled in a sleek bob and green contact lenses that obscured my natural hazel eyes—felt increasingly irritating as the day wore on.Beside me, Harper scr

Stella’s POV:The tiny apartment in Warsaw felt smaller than usual today. Maybe it was the gray clouds hanging low over the city, or maybe it was the fact that I hadn't left these four walls in three days. My job translating old texts for the Polish Historical Society allowed me to work remotely—a blessing for someone like me who preferred not to be found.I stretched my legs across the worn couch, absently flipping through television channels. Nothing interested me until I landed on the international news channel, where a familiar face made my finger freeze on the remote.Orion Lockwood. Even through the screen, his presence was commanding—tall, broad-shouldered, with those piercing blue eyes that hadn't changed in a thousand years. He stood at some glittering event, a stunning redhead on his arm, speaking confidently to reporters."...attribute our success to meaningful connections we've cultivated..."His voice sent an electric current through my body, awakening memories better le

  • Alpha Orion's Obsession    Public appearance

Orion's Pov: Three hours later, after a punishing workout - that was responsible for my chiseled body that made the girls of New York go gaga over me - and a cold shower that did nothing to banish the lingering unease, I made my way to the expansive balcony of my penthouse. The morning sun bathes the outdoor dining area in golden light, highlighting the artfully arranged breakfast spread—a stark contrast to the storm brewing inside me.I expected to see my entire inner circle already assembled, the five people I trust most in this world. Instead, only Regina sits at the glass table, her auburn hair cascading over her shoulders as she scrolls through something on the tablet."Where are the others?" I ask, sliding into the chair beside her.Regina looks up, her emerald eyes meeting mine. "Caught up with their respective issues. I called them all, but you know how it is." She sets down her tablet, studying me with that penetrating gaze that always makes me feel like she's seeing throu

  • Alpha Orion's Obsession    The promise of death

Alpha Orion's Pov: She was dying in my arms, and I was powerless to stop it - despite being the most powerful Alpha in the world. "Please don't leave me. Please," I begged, cradling Stella's weak body against my chest. Her once vibrant eyes—those mesmerizing green eyes that had captivated me from the moment I first saw her—were now clouded with pain. Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth, staining her pale skin crimson and her golden blonde hair. Even then she looked very beautiful - like an Angel dying. For thirty years, I had conquered kingdoms. For thirty years, I had been Alpha Orion, the Tyrant - feared by all who dared cross my path. I had crushed enemies beneath my heel, had torn rival alphas limb from limb with my bare hands. Alpha Orion - My name alone made the bravest warriors tremble. And yet here I knelt, destroyed by a single moment of carelessness."I really don't want to leave you," Stella whispered, her voice barely audible. Another violent cough wracked her
