Flora – POV

I was escorted to the interrogation room while Shirley's body was taken to the infirmary to confirm whether she was dead and to double-check for foul play. I was feeling nervous and sad at the same time about Shirley's death.

"Alpha, we have the suspect in custody," the guard informed. I looked up to meet Ryker's gaze, which held no emotion in his gray eyes.
