46 The Goddess Doesn't Make Mistakes

I stared down at my breakfast. Two hard boiled eggs, turkey bacon and a grapefruit. Yuck. I’d rather starve, then I guess at least I’d be the twig they want me to be. 

“Darling eat,” mom said.

“If I can only eat eggs can they not at least be scrambled or something else,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“Honey, you’ll be 17 in less than a year! You still have all that baby weight, do you want to disappoint your mate,” she said, stuffing her face with pancakes.

“Baby weight? Really,” my dad said, stuffing his mouth as well.

My eyes watched the syrup drip onto the plate and my stomach growled. I was pudgy okay? Easily thirty pounds overweigh
