Chapter 14
Colby POV
I had been waiting all day for the chance to go pick up Kate. The only thing I had wanted was for us to be alone; however, her parents were coming back with her to look after Amelie while we were away. Deciding to have a night alone with Kate, I had one of my Pack warriors come along in a separate SUV to take her parents back to the Silver Crescent Pack, while I surprised Kate with a night out before we spend the day with Amelie tomorrow.
I had a condo in the city, which we often stayed at when we went to shows or had meetings in the city. There was a new restaurant in town, I wanted to take her to. And frankly I had missed her the past couple weeks and wanted to have her to myself.

Kate POV We got back to the Silver Crescent Pack early the next morning. We quickly stole Amelie away from her grandparents so we could spend the day with her. To say she was excited to see me, was an understatement. As I held her in my arms, she kept kissing and holding my face as she snuggled into me. Kate POV Moving into the Pack house I bypass anyone who might be present taking the back steps up to our room. I am steaming that Colby had kept this from me. If I had known the rogues were looking for me in the first place, I would have been better prepared with questions and would have ideally got more information out of them. Shutting the door to our bedroom, I strip off my clothes and head toward the bathroom shutting and locking the door. I put my hair up in a messy bun to save it from getting wet. Kate POV Getting up the next morning, I was still sour with Colby. I got out of bed and got ready for my day as he continued to sleep. Kate POV As we went through the itinerary, I had to admit Josey did a good job planning so we would be able to make optimal time and cover as many Packs as possible during our trip. Colby knew I would only be going to half the Packs as I would not miss the deadline to be at the Golden Moon Pack in a week. Drake POV As I walked to Maddie’s door, I felt a twinge of nervousness. I had been on date’s before, but this was the first with Maddie. I already knew I loved her, but I also knew I would have to gain her trust after everything she had been through. I could sense she was stronger than her family had given her credit for. Colby POV As I met with my Betas Seth and Reg, I considered Josey’s comments about the Nighthawk Pack. The fact was I was going with Kate one way or another to the Golden Moon Pack. As Seth, Reg and I considered our options, I put a call into the Alpha of Nighthawk Pack to get a sense of what he needed to discuss. As I left a message for Alpha Aaron, I look to Seth and Reg, “Seth, I am going to send you there for the meeting next week,” I share with them. “Reg, you will manage everything at this end, and I will be in Golden Moon Pack on the weekend,” I add. “No problem, Alpha, just let me know what the discussion is, and I’ll be prepared to meet with them,” Seth says. “Let’s go over training plans, before you head out tomorrow morning” Reg adds.

Kate POV Colby and I had a whirlwind trip visiting the various Packs for the first few days. We visited four Packs in three days. All Packs had both an Alpha and a Luna. The hospitality was amazing. We ended up staying at a couple of the Packs overnight. The kindness bestowed upon us was second to none. I thoroughly enjoyed my role of Luna while visiting the Packs. Some Packs had their Luna attend the business meetings and a couple opted to host me elsewhere. I was fine with either option. Colby was very forthcoming in sharing anything of peculiarity.
