Elena and I, along with Drake, took flight, although Elena wanted me to check on Letty as she was not answering my call. I couldn't care less about her. After all, she is Alpha. Letty can handle the troubles herself. My mate is my priority over any other woman.

We stepped into the morgue; the officer showed us the body. Elena came to a halt. She shivered, seeing the disfigured countenance of the corpse, which made it impossible to identify.

"Lyra... this is her corpse... the ring is the gift I gave her on last year's birthday," Elena said through tears. I escorted her outside the morgue, as she couldn't standalone. She shivered and cried.

"Elena, I have brought the evidence to light." Elena looked at me through tear-stained eyes mixed with perplexity. "The video we found on Jake's phone has been passed to the officers, and they have filed charges against Jake, so he can't have the name and fame in the human world."
