Livia POV

“The Alpha asked us to wait for fifteen minutes,” Silvia said softly, ducking her head nervously. “We should stay right outside the door.”

“Wait what?” I scoffed, crossing my arms. I was on my phone so I wasn’t paying attention. “He asked us to wait for fifteen minutes! I suppose I can just walk back to my room and return on my own, considering I know the way to his suite now.”

“But... but the Queen Mother said I must escort you, Luna,” Silvia stammered, wringing her hands. “Your room is quite a distance from here, and the Alpha will be furious if you are even a minute late. He is extremely conscious of time.”

I rolled my eyes. For a man who acted like I didn’t exist throughout our entire wedding, would my timely appearance really make a damn difference? Besides, I desperately needed these fifteen minutes to think of a million ways to escape that man’s bed without raising dusts or any suspicions.

“I am not standing out here in the corridor for fifteen whole minutes,” I said firmly. “I’ve been standing all day at the reception and my feet are killing me. Take me somewhere I can sit and wait.”

“We can use the private lobby right this way,” Silvia offered quickly, visibly relieved.

She led me down a short side corridor and opened the door to a quiet, velvet-furnished lobby. Silvia stood outside, shutting the doors behind me.

Left alone, I took a slow breath and looked around, blown away by the sheer beauty of the space. At least the interior decorations were not as abysmal as the Queen Mother’s fashion taste.

I wandered into the adjoined bathroom and stared at my reflection in the massive arched mirror. The sight of myself in the burgundy curtain-dress made me groan aloud.

If tonight were my actual wedding night, I would be wearing a hot, scandalous set of lace lingerie—something with a snatched corset to push up my breasts, salaciously whispering, “I’m all yours, big daddy,” to the absolute love of my life. Sadly, I was stuck playing the boring, dutiful wife to my sister’s insufferable husband. This was such a horrible life decision.

My phone suddenly buzzed. I snatched it up—an incoming call from Livyana!

“Good gracious, Moon Goddess, finally!” I answered, dropping my voice to an urgent whisper. “What the hell, Livy?! I’ve been trying to call you for hours! I’m about to be taken to the abattoir to be slaughtered!”

“Slow down! Breathe, It’s Livia now,” Livyana’s voice came through the speaker, correcting me instantly. “Use my name! What if someone hears you calling me Livyana?!”

“Nobody is here,” I hissed. “Where have you been?!”

“I’m so sorry, my battery died and I just managed to find a charger,” she apologized hastily. “Wait, what do you mean slaughtered? What’s happening?”

“I am about to be served like a nicely prepared five-course dinner to the Alpha King, and I am completely freaking out!”

“Calm down,” Livyana soothed. “What is the villa like? Are you okay?”

The mention of the estate made me pause. I completely forgot about the impending doom of Alpha Tarian for a second, a grin breaking across my face.

“Girl... I am about to live the softest life imaginable for the next three months,” I gushed, leaning against the marble counter. “There is nothing but pure luxury here! I have an army of maids at my beck and call. Do you realize I won’t have to do a single house chore for ninety days? I’m so relieved!”

“What?” Livyana sounded bewildered. “You know I actually like doing chores, right?”

“Are you insane?” I laughed under my breath. “There is no damn way you’re asking me to sweep and mop in a mansion this big. Absolutely not.”

“Okay, okay, but you still have to help around you know” Livyana cut in, her tone turning gentle. “How is the Alpha? Is he treating you well?”

I smirked, my excitement evaporating as Tarian’s grumpy face flashed in my mind. “He is insufferable. You basically saw his countenance throughout the wedding. The man is a total bore.”

“Aww,” Livyana cooed. “He’s obviously just an introvert like me! It can’t be that bad.”

I was deeply tempted to whack her through the phone with a few spicy words, but I held back. In truth, life here was going to be incredibly easy—soft life only. I really didn’t mind playing placeholder for the next three months as long as I got to enjoy the absolute peak of royal luxury.

“Be careful so you don’t blow our cover,” Livyana warned softly. “And stop badmouthing my husband!”

“He is terrible inside and out, Livy,” I scoffed. “I wish I had a single positive thing to say about him, but I don’t.”

“But his mother told me—”

“She told you exactly what she wanted you to hear!” I interrupted. “It is painfully obvious the Alpha King is not interested in this marriage, but it’s already done.”

Knock, knock.

A sharp wrap on the lobby door signaled the end of my fifteen minutes.

“I have to go,” I whispered hastily into the mic. “Stay online on HiWolf messenger! I’ll be updating you on everything that happens.”

“Okay, be safe, I love—”

I hung up, slipped the phone into my dress pocket, and smoothed down my itchy dress. Opening the lobby door, I met Silvia’s anxious gaze and nodded.

“Time to go,” I said calmly, following behind her.

Livia POVI was making my way back to the main house, my head still throbbing from the morning's kitchen drama, when I heard the Queen Mother’s rich, sing-song voice behind me."Is that my beautiful daughter-in-law?"I instantly fixed my face with a polite smile, swallowing the mountain of complaints resting on the tip of my tongue. More questions pricked my mind as minutes went by, but I forced my expression to remain serene."Come... come," Queen Mother Raychel said warmly as she approached, taking my hand and leading me into the living room. She gestured for us to sit on the sofa. "So, how was your night, my dear? I hope you slept well."I recalled the utter madness from last night and fought the desperate urge to roll my eyes."It was fine," I purred softly, folding my hands in my lap. "I slept like a married woman."Maybe lying was another thing I was naturally gifted at, considering how quickly my response lit up the Queen Mother's face."So... I presume sleeping like a married

Livia POV“Rule Number 4: I would like to stay on top of things—I will never leave all the chores to the staff. It is my absolute duty as Luna to keep my husband's house clean and orderly.”Livyana had to be out of her mind. She had to be.I stared at the screen of my phone, my jaw was literally sweeping the wooden floor at this point. These weren't rules a true Luna must follow —these were rules on how to be a perpetual, underpaid housemaid 101! So Livyana is trying to tell me she would leave the luxuries of this estate to be a slave just to score cheap points at being such a dutiful wife?Seriously?I visibly, physically could not see myself manifesting these ridiculous directives for the next three days, let alone three long, agonizing months.Besides, what was there even to clean?!I slipped my phone into my pocket in my dress, crossed my arms, and began pacing down the hallways of the estate. I looked around in sheer disbelief. Something’s stood out for me.First it was the way

Livia POVThis man is rude!I had officially had enough. I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me that my presence in his room was no longer needed, and frankly, my body was screaming for sleep. So, I dramatically bowed my head, turned on my heel, and led myself out of his room. I didn't want a situation that would trigger another episode like last night. Truth be told, I was still a bit shaken by the whole thing. What if Alpha Tarian had actually died in my arms? He was so large, so impossibly strong, yet surprisingly fragile under the right circumstances. I needed to be extremely careful around here. The very first thing I did when I finally reached the safety of my own room was tear off that hideous burgundy nightie. I locked the doors behind me—determined to suffer zero interruptions—and was just about to crash into the plush king-sized bed when my phone chimed on the stand.I froze, easing off a long groan before picking it up to read Livyana’s message:“Liv, I am so sorry for be

Tarian POVI woke up to bulgy eyes staring into my face and screamed.Livyana jumped back to her own side of the bed, hugging a pillow tightly to her chest. "Did you see a ghost?!" she gasped.I rubbed my eyes, glaring at her through the morning light. "Are you not a bad dream, considering the chaos you put me through last night?"She placed one hand on her chest and the other on her head, trying to stabilize her skipping heartbeat. "Thank the Moon Goddess you are still alive!""What was that for?" I asked, my voice dry and raspy. She took a deep breath, wincing slightly. "Is that the thank you I get for watching over you all through the night? Please just let me be, my body hurts."Did she just ask me to let her be? In such a manner?I ignored her for a second and picked up my phone from the nightstand. The screen lit up with breaking news notifications across May Town's pack networks.ROYAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Queen Mother Raychel Welcomes the Vivour-Wilson Family to the Royal Line. Gift

Livia POVWait, is this a joke?! Why on earth is his dick out?!Take it from me—Alpha Tarian has gone completely, utterly mad, and his insanity clearly peaks at different hours of the day!He stepped closer, his eyes burning with unholy desires as he gestured to his front. "Why are you acting so surprised? Just a few minutes ago you acted like you wanted me—calling me your darling husband, remember? Now, would it really be a bad idea if you give your darling husband some of that sugar? Spread your legs and do not make me wait."This man is indeed mad! Moon goddess save your daughter. I should not have joked or called him darling or any terms of endearment. Now I will have to be dragging my underwear with this man in a couple of seconds if you don’t intervene, dear moon goddess!"I am sorry, but where am I spreading my legs to?" I chided him, my voice trembling slightly as I desperately tried to cling to the naive Livyana script. "There is more than enough space on the bed for both of

Tarian POVI walked into the walk-in closet, closing the door behind me, and leaned heavily against the edge of the half-length mirror. I closed my eyes and drew in a long, steadying breath. I just needed to do this for a few minutes to calm the mixed feelings brewing inside me.I hated sharing my bed. I detested the very thought of someone invading my personal space, and for that single reason, I was deeply grateful for one thing: Livyana and I would only be spending this one mandatory night together. Tomorrow, she would return to her own quarters. I urged myself to simply endure her presence for a few hours. Just one night.I reached out and picked a set of dark blue nightwear from the rack. The moment the smooth fabric touched my fingers, a wave of nostalgia slammed into my chest. Dark blue had been Moriah’s favorite color. And While I tried it on, Instantly, my mind flashed back to my first night with Moriah in this very villa. It had been wild, passionate, and completely uninhibi
