Chapter 1

I finally died in the cellar because of the silver dust.

When my soul left my body, I found myself standing beside my three alpha brothers.

They had just returned to the pack with Elsa. Kane and Kelvin were holding her by the claws.

Kane said in a gentle voice, "Good thing we got to the infirmary in time. Otherwise, Elsa's recovery would have taken much longer."

"The healer said your wolf is still too weak," Karl added with concern, handing her a moonstone to restore energy. "You'll need Moonlight Healing on the next full moon."

A nearby guard hesitated, then said, "My alphas, Aria has been locked in the cellar for three days... and there hasn't been a single sound from her."

Kane interrupted him sharply, sneering, "Why are you mentioning that vicious she-wolf? Today is a day to celebrate Elsa's recovery, not spoil it with talk of her."

The guard opened his mouth again, but their icy glares silenced him.

"That heartless creature," Kelvin spat. "She knew Elsa was allergic to nuts, yet still gave her that cake!"

"I was so stupid to think she had finally accepted Elsa as part of our family," Karl growled. "Turns out she tried to kill her over a cake!"

Hearing this, Elsa widened her eyes and trembled deliberately. She stammered, "Will Aria be angry after she's released? I was the reason she was punished… What if she takes revenge on me and drives me out of the pack while you're gone?"

"Don't worry, Elsa," Kane reassured her coldly. "She did this because she was spoiled by us for too long. This punishment will teach her a lesson. She won't hurt you again."

After speaking, he tried to mind-link me several times—but of course, there was no answer.

Kane frowned, assuming I had blocked the mind-link out of anger.

He checked. The last time I had mind-linked him… was three days ago.

"What a cruel wolf," he muttered. "She hasn't even cared to check on Elsa's condition."

At that moment, Elsa gently touched his paw, tears shimmering in her eyes.

"I don't want Aria to misunderstand me," she choked. "All I ever wanted was her companionship. She's always been my best sister… If I've upset her somehow, then it must be my fault."

Kane wiped away her tears, sighing. "You're such a kind she-wolf, Elsa. Aria, on the other hand… is heartless and ungrateful."

Kelvin clenched his fists, eyes cold. "She tried to kill a family member just to gain our attention? How could she be so ruthless?"

Karl nodded firmly. "She's been locked up for three days. If she doesn't admit her mistake and beg Elsa for forgiveness, I'll drive her out of our den for good."

Standing beside them as a soul, all I felt was bitter irony.

Our parents died in a forest fire, and after that, my three brothers poured all their love into me.

They found Elsa in a rogue pack and brought her home—to "keep me company," to "ease my loneliness."

I welcomed her with sincerity, gave her everything I had…

And in return, she framed me again and again—accusing me of hurting her, claiming I fought for attention.

And every time, my once-loving brothers turned colder, more distant.

This time, she faked a near-death allergy reaction from an almond cake I didn't even know she was allergic to.

I wasn't even allowed to explain. I was just thrown into the cellar, the air thick with silver dust.

My wolf howled for help—but they ignored her cries.

"Stop howling!" Kane shouted. "This is what you deserve!"

Kelvin locked the silver chains himself. Karl stacked heavy objects at the entrance so I couldn't escape, even if I tried.

And now…

Now they stood there, fooled by Elsa's lies, comforting her like she was the victim.

My wolf watched with a hollow smirk of despair.

My mighty alpha brothers—

The ones who once vowed to protect me, who claimed they loved me most in this world—

You were the ones who killed me with your own hands.

  • The Alpha Brothers’ Shame   Chapter 9

Kane threw the crystal to the ground in front of Kelvin and Karl. It cracked as it landed, the light still flickering inside. They picked it up, confused—until the screen lit up.And then their faces changed. The crystal held every piece of evidence. From the moment Elsa stepped into our home, she had begun weaving her web. She deliberately broke her own toy and blamed me, inciting their anger. She tricked me into buying her an almond cake just days ago—only to use it as proof of my "malice."Each video was damning. Each recording captured their fury—Their voices lashing out at me—While Elsa's laughter echoed in the background like a dagger twisting in a wound.Karl was the first to break. With bloodshot eyes and uncontrollable rage, he stormed forward and kicked Elsa hard in the face."We misunderstood Aria… all this time?! This—this was all YOU?!""Don't forget—it was because of Aria you could even enter our den!""Why, Elsa? Why would you do this to her?!"Elsa spat blood, but her

Kane leaned heavily against the wall, gripping my crystal so tightly it trembled in his hand. Suddenly, it lit up again.I glanced over—it was Karl.My third elder brother.Karl, the genius werewolf doctor with eyes as sharp as moonlit blades, could identify any herb by scent alone. Just four days ago, I had found him a rare moonwart, a plant he had searched tirelessly for—hoping to ease the suffering of pack members during the full moon.I had wanted to surprise him.But I died in the cellar before I could even give it to him.Kane opened the crystal, and Karl's face appeared on the screen. His voice was low, coaxing—like an elder wolf calming a restless pup."That's enough, Aria. Stop being angry.""Yes, you were wrong… but wherever you are, come home. I'll protect you."His words droned on, filled with misplaced affection and oblivious guilt. Then Kane's voice cut through like ice."Karl," he growled, "did you order the burning of that corpse?""That corpse might've been our sister.

Elsa rushed over, reaching for Kane in a panic. But the moment her fingers brushed his fur, his wolf instincts erupted. His eyes flared a burning crimson, and with a furious snarl, he slammed her away."Get away from me!"Alpha Kane's roar—raw, guttural—shook the entire chamber like a thunderclap.Elsa tumbled to the ground, her face pale with fear. Tears streamed down her cheeks, but they were no longer convincing. Her performance of helplessness—once effective—meant nothing to Kane now.His fury had spiraled into something primal. His every nerve was a live wire of rage, and his bloodshot eyes burned with vengeance. He turned sharply toward the guards, voice low and dangerous."The body. Where did you put her body?"The guards froze, shoulders stiff, eyes avoiding his.One finally stepped forward, swallowing hard."Alpha Kane… Alpha Karl said… the body was too filthy. He ordered us to burn her.""…We just finished the cremation."The words hit Kane like a dagger to the chest. The wor

  • The Alpha Brothers’ Shame   Chapter 6

When Alpha Kane finally snapped back to reality, his lion-like face—once proud and composed—was now streaked with tears. How could he have forgotten?Aria's wolf had never fully recovered from that fateful year. She had been gravely wounded by silver knives while fending off those three killers from the Red Moon Pack. Her strength had bled out with every strike, and yet, even on the brink of death, she had carried him back to the pack—using the last ounce of her will to save his life.Since then, she had never been able to run far.She could no longer hunt, no longer roam freely. Her wolf had been weakened—permanently. That realization struck Kane like lightning through his chest.Regret tightened around his ribs like a steel trap, and for the first time in years, Alpha Kane felt afraid.Beside him, Elsa reached out, feigning concern as she gently stroked his fur.But Kane shook her off without a word, his desperation overtaking any desire for comfort. He turned on his heel and stormed

  • The Alpha Brothers’ Shame   Chapter 5

My three alpha brothers, along with Elsa, stormed back into the living room. Before Elsa could even begin her performance, Kane had already opened a mind-link to the entire pack."Find out where Aria has been these past few days. Immediately.""I want names. Who saw her? Where did she go? And check our parents' old den while you're at it.""I want a full report on her every move—no exceptions."With that cold command, Kane severed the link.Once he had the information, he'd trace every step I'd taken—and then, no doubt, he'd "teach me a lesson" I'd never forget.I couldn't help but scoff.Had Kane already forgotten? Not long ago, he'd been ambushed by the Red Moon Pack while hunting alone. His wolf was nearly torn apart by three elite killers. They attacked him with silver-coated claws, each strike calculated, each one meant to kill.I had sensed his danger instantly.Without hesitation, I ran toward him, tearing through the forest. By the time I reached him, my body was already covere

  • The Alpha Brothers’ Shame   Chapter 4

The light from outside poured in, slowly peeling back the darkness that had clung to the cellar like a second skin.I drifted closer, my soul hovering just beyond the entrance—only to be confronted by the grotesque sight of my own corpse. The airtight, silver-dusted cellar had preserved my body in the worst possible way. Though only three days had passed, I looked as though I'd been dead for weeks.Decay had set in early. Maggots writhed through what remained of my flesh, feeding greedily. My face was bloated and discolored from asphyxiation, the features barely recognizable.A jolt of horror shot through me. I didn't want them to see me like this. I instinctively tried to block their view—anything to preserve a shred of dignity. But I was only a spirit now, powerless and unseen.Kane was the first to approach. He froze in his tracks. His amber wolf eyes widened, nostrils flaring. His fury gave way to confusion, then revulsion. He staggered back, a low growl breaking from his throat."
